unfortunately because it's netflix we'll never get season 2 to see what happens when they finish the cups
Hopefully not murder, that's bad.
Oh, no we will get a season 2...it'll just be released like seven years later after most of the original fans forgot the show even existed and have a completely different tone than season 1 because it has a new director and writers.
@@catdogmousecheeseAnd it'll take place multiple years later with multiple dropped plot threads because all the kid actors are adults now.
@@D_YellowMadness
Then officially get cancelled cause Hollywood hates the word "season 3".
This made me genuinely belly laugh. Well done
Man I can't believe how he drank that thing. Truly the

@@g37o are you done?
Reminds me of those shows where someone pours someone a whiskey, and the other person takes only one sip and then leaves because the scene is over.
If I were a writer, every character would wait around in silence until they had finished their drinks.
This and putting out a cig after taking two puffs. I've never seen that in real life, and I was a kid in the 90s.
@@AlkisGD The 90s? Damn, this dude's definitely an expert so I'd believe him!
I know everyone’s goal here is to say something clever, but I just like the part where he held the cup upside down. I was expecting it, I wanted it, and I got it. Quality content.
Saying you know people are trying to be clever just makes you seem too clever to be clever for the sake of being clever, and now you've lured me into being clever as well! How very clever we both are.
@@NotoriousLightning I am cleverer than both of you
sorry I mean the cleverest
i am clever 9 days late
This isn’t realistic, they didn’t make loud-enough slurp sounds.
The good news is that by saving all that money in their props department, they can keep all their popular shows running for years!
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Wait you meant cancel all the good ones and keep making garbage?

He never drinks real liquid! The dehydrated legend!
the absolute actor, he never drinks
man carrying cup had to shave his mustache from all the liquid that would’ve gotten on it
The sip should almost peak the microphone. "Hhhhhrp" right in your ears
...This is what all my written characters do when dialogue is happening... including a lot of random neck movement...
I've never considered what a person's neck is doing well they talk.
@@pilotguy5393 Neither have I. Now it's going to be another thing to add to my list of reasons why I'm self-conscious when talking to others lol
He's ready to spill the tea!
The absolute legend!
Not just Netflix shows. I remember being really annoyed watching doctor shows like scrubs or house because their takeout coffee cups were always clearly empty.
Like.. just put water in it or something damn
Beanbag!
I have never noticed that, but why is that though? Why they should act like they are drinking coffee instead of really drinking coffee? Okay it could get cold, put some frappe in it. They would naturally put the cup down, if something is happening, not holding it like a trash looking for a bin.
@@andraspalatinus145 they do that because of retakes they would probably end up drinking that cup of coffee 10 times. If you see someone actually eat or drink on camera, they probably felt like shit.
@@EasilyBoredGamer But with liquids you don't actually need to drink it. Let it touch your lips and it's more convincing that someone holding a clearly empty cup. Food is a problem for sure
@@andraspalatinus145 From what I gather from what set designers have said, to minimize the risk of spills disrupting filming. Especially for tv shows where filming needs to happen at a very fast and strict schedule.
Good to know that the Joshua saga is still going on.
Yes, this was my favourite part. I thought Joshua had been forgotten with MCTs transition to serious content.
Yessss, that was my first reaction to this skit

The real empty cup was the multi-billion dollar corporation they worked for along the way.
The absolute spills, he never makes them.
Dude when I was watching this my PC kept having a huge pixel error and I weirdly assumed that the joke was that netflix cups be ruining your screen on the regular.
The detail that he first drinks the cup empty and then immediately takes a small sip indicating that it's almost full to the brim is so real.
Whenever I'm an extra on a film or television show and they have us drinking things, we stand around with glasses filled with ginger ale and we are supposed to pretend that we are drinking but we never drink a thing.
Knowing this is almost as funny as knowing that every dance scene was filmed in silence.
Can’t have the actors drink real liquids on set BUT we can give them loaded firearms.
This is also about how cups seemingly never run out of whatever beverage a character is drinking
Joshua saga continues!
Mr. Thing, I remind you, you need to put this in the Joshua saga list. PLEASE
I really liked how he drank from the cup.
Sadly Netflix cancelled him before he could refill.
Holy executive meddling!
the absolute legend never fails to hydrate
These are so on point! It's the equivalent to talking while driving without looking at the road.
Yeah they always have a moment the driver and the shotgun passenger while driving in the middle of a huge city, staring each other
Oh boy can’t wait to notice this every single goddamn time this happens now, Thanks Man Carrying Thing!
Now I want to make a movie where one character is constantly noisily slurping soda out of a clear bottle and occasionally belching really loud and all the other characters very visibly hate him for it; rolling their eyes, sighing, and face palming every single time he pulls out his drink. He refills the bottle on screen six times throughout the duration of the movie, and in the last scene someone grabs it and throws it off a cliff. No one ever verbally mentions it.
The absolute Netflix! They always display drinks incorrectly!
The worst are cups that are so light you can tell there's nothing in them by how the actors hold them.
Why did you have to leave Sarah!
she left me for joshua my god, it wasntr my fault damnit
Joshua you scumbag!
Really missed the opportunity holding the cup using both hands like it's a bowl.
I love how this video uses the signature Netflix aspect ratio. Really helps me *feel* like I’m drinking out of a cup.
Exactly how I drink my coffee every morning, by contemplating murder
This is like how people on phones in movies and shows don't say goodbye, they just hang up.
Holding the cup to your ear? A fellow wine snob, I see!
Can’t believe Sarah left this clearly sane beverage enjoyer
the inevitable return of Joshua
This has been a "problem" long before Netflix series. I remember being a young child and being confused as to how actors in tv shows and movies could drink their drinks so fast before saying their next sentence. Took me a few years to develop enough of a brain to realize that there's no liquid in the cups.
Man Carrying Coffee…and Netflix.
The absolute man, he shaves
I can't believe how much actual liquid was in those cups. Such a dedication to the illusion of filmmaking.
As a character on Netflix, this is true
This is hilariously accurate. I'm always thinking, "Is anybody remotely convinced that cup contains anything."
Must be that dehydrated water my dad is always talking about..
[clank of mugs in spanish]
[slurps in spanish]
[talks spanish in spanish]
You definitely deserve more recognition for this
The likes are real...
Bot.
I read the title wrong and thought he was representing the different cups as Netflix shows and how fast people be consuming them without enjoying them. Imagine my utter confusion.
I thought this said "how they be drinking netflix shows" and I was trying really hard to catch on to the analogy
Me too. I always get metaphors and analogies mixed up, so I just call everything a metaphor... 😬
I, too, like to fling my invisible coffee all over the room while I emote like an angry Italian.
Reminds me of the factoid that it’s illegal for alcohol commercials to show people drinking. They always toast and raise their glasses like they’re just about to drink, but they never actually do.
Once you see it, you can’t unsee it!
It does depend on the laws of the specific country, but broadly applies to a lot of them.
"I don't own any transparent glasses"
Netflix trying to make “literally me” characters, drinking coffee part of course
i cant believe he was finally able to stop carrying the thing and set it down in the coffee cup for these two intelligent and humorous friends to drink
I love warming my ear with the side of my cup filled with real coffee.
Those cups need tethers otherwise they’re gonna fly and hit someone.
This just sounds like my normal, daily, inner monologue
I want to give some recognition to the first seconds on how he's carrying those mugthings
and until you shoot a video where you're holding a cup, you truly don't realize how difficult it is to hold the cup high enough to stay in a close up shot like that
man (no longer) carrying moustache
This quite literally takes me out of SO many shows. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was trying to watch Supergirl on Netflix and the coffee cups are so obviously empty it makes me insane.
I don't know if you've ever seen the trailer Netflix has set for Hero Mask, but about half of it is people drinking various non-clear beverages
The death of the mustache is the true tragedy of this video
Netflix employee: ‘hey wait! This guys making fun of me!’
My favorite thing in tv shows is when there's a 5 minute scene of a guy ordering a huge coffee and massive plate of waffles, then he pours syrup on them, takes the tiniest sip of the coffee and says "I gotta leave", and ditches all of the food. WHY THE FUCK DID YOU ORDER ALL THAT THEN???
The best part of waking up, is Man Carrying Thing in your cup.
This is one of the rare videos where he is actually carrying a thing.
Give me a full movie like this, i will pay
I drink like that 🙃
Yeah same
Man Drinking Thing 🙃
This is something nobody on planet earth ever noticed except Man Carrying Thing
After all this years he still not lost the thing
Don’t murder me
Very happy for Joshuas return
The absolute drink. He never spills!
I like the lack of mug continuity in the second to last shot
my heart broke with the final line. I cried when he said 'sure'
There isn't a teabag left in the cup to steep for eternity so at least I know it's not hot tea
They’ll go through all the trouble…making it look like their cup is weighted, hot, and full, and take a sip…and NOT swallow
the absolute net he never flixes
"Chill! It's not so serious! It's just a show!"
I was hoping you'd hold it upside down, and you did.
You did that for us.
He never fails to drink, the absolute legend
Inaccurate; they start by delicately using both hands to hold their cup
"Murder is bad, you know that, right?" 😂😂😂😂
This reminds me of this cooking show we have here in the UK called 'Great British Menu' (it's sort of like Masterchef but for the top chefs in the UK) and when they're waiting for the judging results they're always shown sitting outside on a wooden bench with mugs like this and as a family we are convinced they don't have anything in them but we have yet to see convincing evidence either way
Did you know that's real coffee man is drinking? It wasn't even in the script, man carried his own coffee onto the set that day because he thought it represented his character's ambition. Truly one of the greats.
This is The Empire Strikes Back of the Man Carrying Thingiverse...Truly a triumph.
Hold on, I believe I already saw this video. Is this some sort of time paradox that I'm too human to understand?
He spilled the tea without spilling any tea!
Have you seen the Netflix show USS Liberty? So hilarious!
3 Body Problem had a scene where there was coffee in a cup. The ambition and rigour to depicting that fictional world were bar some.
I don't think the coffee is working, he's gonna murder somebody for sure.
I really love this man carrying empty mug character, i sure hope he posts more videos with this guy
What a legend, he never spills!
His videos are getting so meta, I'm not sure anymore if they're even referring to real occurrences.
he was looking for second opinion inside the cup (the voices)
