This song had everyone buzzing when it came out. From the impact, the vocals (her singing the operatic vocals in the back and transition to hard core hip hop) and witnessing the versatility and growth of beyonce as an artist . The gworls were pressed, the hive was living, the feminist were in awe. Truly a moment in pop culture. Beyonce stated she had made this song for anyone who doubted her. She imagined herself singing to them to boost her confidence😍👑💅🏽
Omg yess, bitches were presssssed about this song to the point that it was comical. And yeah, that’s how I perceived the song when I first listened to it, anyway. I was in my bedroom screaming “BOW DOWN” to my stuffed animals. 😂
@@idkbrosstudios8446 fr tho💀💀😂
Jay Camacho I personally don’t see it that way at all. You can empower women/be a feminist and still tell yourself “i am the BADDEST BITCH ALIVE”😂😂doesn’t mean you *literally* think that. It’s just a confidence booster. Same with the lyrics. The “bow down” part is really just a middle finger to the haters lmao
Jay Camacho wasn’t it Brandy 😂
IDK Bros Studios Chile I thought it was Keyisha Cole👀
Fun Fact: That’s Beyoncé singing the operatic background vocals.
#FACTS 💯
fun fact Beyonce can't sing opera. Just stop it
joetj we have a hater on our hands
joetj there’s always a hater.
@@joetj Stay in your struggle hater.
The fact that it’s Beyoncé behind almost everything thing you hear on the song 😭😭 even the really pitched high and low vocals saying “h-town, it’s comin downnnn”
Yess I'm just realizing she did the same thing a beychella with I been on
Beyoncé - “Get Me Bodied” You’ll love that video and song. Solange wrote it.
EDIT: Solange co-wrote it. :)
Not just Solange ... Beyoncé, Angela Beyincé, Makeba Riddick, Swizz Beats and Sean Garett wrote it
NO . Get ME bodied it's cute but please!!!!!!! of all Beyonce videos. .... GMB is not GREAT .
@@Guilherme-kk2tr boy, bye
just when im about to do my hw here come jack with more beyonce reactions
Jack Reacts don’t worry I did... after the video tho
When you do check out the Flawless Remix make sure you watch the performance
This was my shit back in 2013/14!!!
Bro I was bouncing up and down in my bedroom with a 1 dollar tiara with some cheap behind lipstick, talking bout some “I KNOW WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE GIRL YOU DREAMT OF BEING IN MY WORLD”.
Man 2013 looking hella right about now 😂
The author in the part before she sings the Flawless part is Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie and the speech is called “We Should All Be Feminists”
"Like This" by Kelly Rowland ft. Eve
Definitely!
Good one!
Voice is of a Nigerian author.
beyoncé does all her vocal productions. that should be expected for most singers but not everyone has the range. the vocal backgrounds & arrangements is all BEYONCÉ. that's why she gets credited as writer AND producer.
Hold up and sorry by beyonce please
You pronounced it perfectly. She's an awesome author
Please react to beyonce 2016 vma performance
This should undoubtedly be one of the next reactions....
That was a you g Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland at the end 😩😍 And this was my song. Before I heard it, I saw a lot of females posting “I Woke Up Like This” all over my TL. I finally heard the song the night of my 21 birthday. (March 2014)
You did really well on the pronunciation. She's an African poet and writer. She wrote one of my favorite books. "Half of a Yellow Sun."
Came over here with a quickness!!❤️❤️
And the more Beyoncé songs you familiarize yourself with, the quicker you can do some beychella reactions so yayy😭😊😊
The woman in that interlude(I really don’t know how to spell her name lol) is an amazing writer btw
It was originally called bow down then it was changed to flawless but u should react to pretty hurts by beyonce
I'm recommending it for MONTHS 😭
It wasn't changed. Bow down came out on it's own. It's only combined as two songs for the purpose of the video. Remember when Keyshia Cole was salty and did an interview that she felt Beyonce was shading her and other R&B singers, the apologized when the rest of the "surprise" album dropped cuz she said she's a fan and took it personal?
Yeah, I remember downloading it. Wasn't it called Bow Down / I Been On?
@@Lindsay1581 ya
Oh
Hey Jack...great reaction! Just wanted to let you know that there is a visual live performance with her and Nikki Minaj for this song from her OTR tour in Paris...dope performance, so if you are looking for a visual...that one is the best!😁🔥
Why does it tickle the shit out of me when Jack curses? "Fuck out of here!"- Jack. 🤣🤣🤣
Beyonce Pretty Hurts , or Sweet dreams ... Both have beautiful visuals ❤️
Please react to beyonce vma 2016 performance or crazy in love live at the I am world tour. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🙏🏾❤
Jack’s smile fade at the end when girls tome lost sent me 😂😂 he said 😃🙂😒
Jack said, "EHHH fuck outta here!" LMAOOO 😂
You kill me at the end Jack😂😂
Please react to Why Don’t You Love Me by Beyoncé!
Let’s all bow down to the Queen for being so flawless, pun intended. I love the operatic vocals on this song. Please react to Beyoncé dangerously in Love live the Beyoncé experience and for more operatic vocals react to Ave Marie live.
I think ppl take for granted that she pretty much coined "I woke up like dis." It's so much a part of pop culture now, but this is where it started.
The remix has a video that is a live concert with both parties.
Yay! The Jay excerpt is from his Crown song from the Magna Carta album.
This song and Yoncé are actually from the same album.
Yes!! That’s what I’m talking bout!! But jack can u do speechless by Beyoncé pls!!
They have a live video for the remix💛💛💛👑
You should listen to Chimamanda's full speech "We should all be feminists" which is where that interlude is from. She is amazing and my namesake (Ngozi is both our middle names) so that's makes it even better lol
React "Hips dont lie" by Shakira ✔👌
Queen Latifah/Paper
The music speaks for itself
That. Is. All 🙅🏾♂️
Star search was an 80’s talent show.
The operatic vocals >>>>>>
The cockiness she exudes >>>>>>
The opulent production >>>>>>
The shit talkin' >>>>>>
Everything about this was effortlessly dope. She made a STATEMENT when this dropped. It had folks shook and in their feelings a lot due to the "Bow Down" aspect of the song. She wasn't afraid to go there with this and no one expected her to be bold at that time. The message is so much bigger than the song itself. The viewpoint of feminism was used smartly here.
I love seeing your reactions to Bey!! You always have so much fun 💚
6:10 ''fuck outta here'' I love Jack 😂😂😂
That begining clip is from star search a tv 90's talent show looking for new talent like how American idol is. Beyonce was performing with her group girls time and some of the members from that group became destiny's child. There are a lot of preteen rehearsal performances and live performances from girls time and destiny's child before their record deal.
Ok jack I saw you cursing on UA-cam I love it though Beyonce killed this song. I’m definitely putting this on my Apple Music🔥🔥🔥🔥👑👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So this song is from her “self-titled” Beyonce album. When she dropped it 12.16.2013 at 11:30 pm I was literally in bed having a panic attack cause she gave us no warning. And I believe she broke itunes cause the platform crashed lol.
you should react to Girls Tyme performance on Star Search (the clip in the beginning).
“im out that h-towwn” those backgrounds are beyonce vocals pitched up n down, u should actually listen to “bow down” i think its on her “homecoming” album as a bonus track
I love this song, thank you Jack
Whew this one Jack...when just a snippet (titled "Bow Down / I Been On") came out Bey broke the damn Internet. So many people were like "...BeYoNcE?!?" It took me a couple listens but after that it was my shit. Still is, tbh. Great song to throw on when you're feeling yourself, or even if you're not but wanna feel better.
Please react to:

Work It Out
Get Me Bodied

You should react to the Flawless Remix ft Nicki Minaj, there’s also a live performance
He will, he said that in the intro
That live performance...was EVERYTHING!
Isaiah Harrell I know right!!!
That hook is her too with autotune. She did it on another song I can't remember right now. She was talking about sneaking to listen to UGK. Maybe it's the original "Bow Down" single that didn't get mixed with FLAWLESS. She was talking for like 2 mins in the low register autotune
Please react to drunk in love live on the otr tour. I really want u to react to this jack. I've been requesting it for ages : D 💘
Def got to react to Beyonce and Nicki Minaj perform this live 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Beyonce was coming for everyone when she did this one 😂
Flawless was originally a buzz track called Bow Down then Beyoncé decided to make it a full song
React to pretty hurts from beyonce, the visuals and the Message is powerful
The first part of flawless before the beat change is actually a stand alone track she released on her SoundCloud called “bow down”
I loved this reaction as always💜👏🏽
At the time of making this album, Beyonce and her label couldn't agree which songs should be included and which should be left off. She was said to have passed up at least 50 songs before settling with the ones she chose.
Before the album was even completed Beyonce released a song called "bow down/I been on" (you can find the audio on UA-cam) to see what the reaction would be to a more aggressive Beyonce. It shocked and offended many people including Keyshia Cole who took offense to the "bow down" lyrics. She made it clear that when she was a little girl she looked up to Janet not Beyonce.
The controversy flew in the face of Beyonce being a feminist and releasing female empowerment songs like "who run the world (girls)" to where she's talking about "bow down bitches." She was slammed hard for her hypocritical messaging. She decided to rework "bow down" to create "Flawless."
The exploitative use of Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche's "we should all be feminists" speech in this song was an attempt to answer her critics and frame "bow down/i been on"--now Flawless--as a female empowerment song.
The "I woke up like this" line came when she was explaining her reasoning for wanting to release "bow down". She said she woke up one day and didn't feel like the sweet Beyonce she always was. She went in to the studio and "bow down" came out. The "Flawless" portion of this song is her essentially trying to put a band aid on female empowerment after the cuts it down with "bow down." 😆
Before the album came out, there was real fear behind the scenes that a sexually charged, aggressive album would do permanent damage to her image. The record company wanted to keep those songs off while Beyonce felt they were a necessary part of her expression--to show another side of her. There were news reports at the time about this internal strife between Beyonce and her label, but Beyonce's rep denied that was the case and assured the press that when the album is completed they will be notified of a release date in a press release.
In December 2013 Beyonce dropped the album online with no promotion, press release or any indication it was coming. It was the first time in recent memory that the "surprise drop" method was used. The album debuted at #1 and was a huge success. It opened the door of surprise releases that rely on the surprise buzz as a marketing vehicle.
The surprise release of the album was more a fed up Beyonce and not calculated marketing move. There were songs that were expected to be on the album like "standing on the sun"--which has a video and can be seen on UA-cam--that was left off; there were incomplete songs like "Yonce" and "Ghosts;" several songs like Flawless that were a merging of more than one song.
The song 7/11 was featured on the re-release of the album. The video for the song was shot with an iPhone. She was rightfully praised for being creative with the iPhone but in truth the video was hastily shot to be a last minute inclusion in the original release of the album. It was more expedience than anything. This album could've been titled Hail Mary because that's exactly what it was.
Right, Jack! F!@# OUTTA HERE!!!! 😂😂😂😂
You need to react to her coachella performance
When are you going to react to her Coachella performances? This song was great there. I was very close to the stage. Everyone was great. It's on Netflix, she directed the whole thing 😃
React to jojo “too little too late” and her song “get out”.
If I Were A Boy by Beyoncé please. Thank you Jack!
Please react to Christina Aguilera The Voice Within
You should react to Beyonce - Haunted
Beyoncé on that hook. Chopped and screwed.

Beyoncé - Signs A Classic Off Her First Album 😌
Honestly, the chorus is the only part of the song I know lol
¡Love the video! You should listen "MOOD 4 EVA" of The gift album its so good ♡♡
idk if anybody said it yet, but the first part of the song, is a whole separate song called ''I been on'' that Bey released I think on soundcloud, i guess she said she was mad at something and woke up, and recorded the song ! :3
How young of you to think talking about feminism in 2014 was ahead of its time lol
Beyoncé voices all the vocals
React to Blackstreet no diggity ft Dr. Dre & Queen Pen
React to beyonce diva music videos
Xscape "UNDERSTANDING"
Please react to Michael Jackson blue gangster and Chicago
The background part saying " crown" or as when raps "im so crown, crown..." is in reference to Jay-z song called "crown" on the Magna Carta album. Im pretty you can hear him in some parts, but with pitch change. 💕
When Jack appears to be feeling the track and looks away as if he's contemplating the tune, he's missing all types of sheit on the screen. ;) lol
Fun fact we analyzed Adichie’s speech in my AP Lang class and I already knew it from this song
React 3T feat Michael Jackson - Why
I Adore This Song!!

Bro the scandalous part about the ending bro, I have that episode still to this day and Skeleton crew (the rock band) was highkey Ass...... Beyonce and her group was waaaaay better. They lost because they were girls/Black....
Caaaant wait for you to do the Nicki remix! There is a video of the live version and it’s MAAAD
Beyoncé the Queen!!!
I swear I think Queen Bey invented the term "Bow Down Bitches"
