When Skip said the probation period during the Richard Sherman interview was over something that didn't involve him, Stephen A took offense because he THOUGHT Skip was talking about him and the Ray Rice comment.
But as Skip pointed out, the Ray Rice comment happened AFTER the Richard Sherman interview, and that he was referring to the Rob Parker comment. But instead of Stephen A saying my bad Bro, I thought you were talking about me, he prefers to go back and forth with Skip over whether the Tim Tebow coverage was also a reason for the probation period lol

@@marksobo2001Not really. There's a BUNCH of different good topics. Problem is most sports fans are casuals even if they don't like to admit it. So they don't enjoy talking about the sport itself, they only care about the drama. For example, people prefer talking about Kelce and Reid's altercation in the Super Bowl, or if Shanahan firing the Defensive Coordinator was a scapegoat move (for the drama that the topic causes) than the game itself.
God I so want these two to get back on a show together. I really wish they'd do their own spin-off podcast with each other, exclusively on UA-cam or something. They go together like oil and water, but that's literally what the appeal is. That's why their fiery debates were so entertaining. Two totally different styles, but both 100% confident in their own abilities to present their argument/opinions. Stephen A, we need it! It'd be such a good side hustle compared to what's going on at your official network stuff and radio show stuff.

The Tebow coverage was in 2011, and the probation period was in 2013. Parker's incident was in Dec 2012 and Sherman was in March 2013. It would seem that the Tebow stuff isn't relevant to the probation.
They talked about him briefly in 2013 after the Jets situation

Both of them left stuff out. So Skip's response to SA in his pod wasn't wrong. Nor is what is SA is saying here. But how SA phrased things the first time around, my opinion, out of all 3 takes sounds the one with more slanting of the facts. So Skip rightfully responded.
I've noticed something with SA recently. He will say something, somebody will correct him, then he will come back and try to reword or rework what he said previously to let it tie back into letting us believe he was the one who was right. Its verbal gymnastics at the highest level. Would fool 90% of listeners. He tried it on First Take this week too with Shannon but lost the debate. 😅
At this point though... he and Skip could just send a text to clear things up and leave it at that.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Many people will forget about Max and push for the three of them to go at it, but Max must be there. For a multitude of reasons. Not feasible now I would say based on new contracts and network influence, but I see this coming to be in the future when Skip and maybe SAS start winding down into retirement, which could be to the death for Skip, and they promote it as a one time only sit down. Like a 3 hour special where they go at it. Damn, it could be a Netflix series at that point. Give it the laid back, barbershop feel a la The shop or club Shay Shay and sign me up.
These two need to do us a favor and reunite. There's no better combo.
