This song was written by Dave Clark (best known for The Dave Clark Five, drummer), Jeff Daniels (Hollywood actor, Dumb & Dumber), & David Soames for the 1986 musical TIME!! Clark was a very dear friend of Freddie’s and was with Freddie the day he passed away on November 24,1991. Another song from the musical is TIME WAITS FOR NOBODY, also written by Dave Clark & friends! It was released in 2019 after Clark stripped down the song to Mike Moran on piano & vocals by Freddie!! ❤
Oh YES YES YESSSSS!!! Thank you!! I knew you’d appreciate this one. This one makes me smile and breaks my heart at the same time. He feels like MY Freddie but he feels like EVERYONE’s Freddie too. Everyone should see this one for sure!! Love the reaction. Check out “Another One Bites the Dust” live at Montreal 81/Wembley 86. Both are amazing. Same song. 2 completely different experiences. “Its A Kind of Magic” and “One Vision” live at Wembley. “Bo Rhap” in Budapest 1986. “Let Me In Your Heart Again”, “Its Late”, and “Spread Your Wings” are all amazing but they arent live. Still worth checking out. Honestly, though, you could pick any Queen performance and be blown away by any of them. Thank you for allowing us “Queenies” to relive our passion for him by seeing your reactions!!
I love Freddie and have watched this video numerous times and it still makes me very emotional. Freddie was a true empath and did have a rather sad childhood… I won’t elaborate since everyone knows Freddie’s story . All the things that made Freddie who he was came out in his music… his composing and his singing ! RIP Darling Freddie 🌷
We were lucky to have him. This song in particular encapsulates how big his talent really was. He makes you feel it. And you know he feels it, even when the words are not his own. Written by the same person, Time is another stunning vocal performance from Freddie.
It's amazing, that younger generations will keep legends alive. Pls, check out Freddie's most beautiful love song called You Take My Breath Away at Hyde Park 76, just Freddie and his piano. Freddie was a funny guy with a great sense of humor who was never afraid to say or to do what he wanted. Based on his stage presence can you imagine, that he was a shy and modest guy in his private life? Freddie always remained Freddie under his chameleon skin: a funny, generous, caring, loving, kind and charming man.
You are rapidly becoming my favourite reactor to Queen. Time to look at some more young queen. Liar the rainbow 1974,great live performance to think this song was from the first album is crazy and beyond that Freddie had written this in the late 60's years before Queen. In this each of them have a chance to shine, John even sings with Freddie,it took a lot of encouraging to do so. S wonderful 8 minutes of musical joy x
Kinda of a montage of Freddie's life. He lived life to its fullest. He was his own person, and might not know how much influence he had, and how much his misic touched us. You were much more than a singer with a song....you were the song❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful your so right Freddie’s voice will be heard forever more a beautiful song sang by a beautiful man thank you next one too many to choose take care x x
Thanks again, Mann! caught this one shortly after you posted... a nice compilation video... never done live, to my knowledge.. appreciate your reaction! (I think this was a Freddie solo, but Queen added Brian's guitar, and additional orchestration).. p.s. have you seen the Brian May-written tribute after Freddie's death... "Only the Good Die Young (no-one but you).. that one always brings tears... (sorry for the ads...) ua-cam.com/video/zHa92QvAGc0/v-deo.html
Freddie's solo stuff didn't do all that well while he was alive but after his death, people really came around to it. I think that a lot of diehard Queenies felt like Freddie doing a solo project somehow was like turning his back on the band. Roger had already done some solo stuff but I think that Freddie being a primary songwriter and also being the Frontman made people nervous that he was going to abandon the band. I heard Brian say that he was apprehensive wondering if Queen was going to come back together or if it was time for him to move on.. It was a strange time because Freddie didn't keep in touch with the Mothership (as the band referred to it) as he usually did and this made Brian nervous and feeling like he had no idea what the future held for the band. Brian was/is a worrier so it is not a big surprise that he was feeling insecure or uncertain about the future of Queen.
@@deborahallen3318 True, but that was later after Freddie had come back and told the band that he had been a jackass and that he was sorry. The problem was not that he wanted to do solo stuff, Queen was always fine with that but the rule was that Queen always comes first. The problem was that Freddie kept everyone hanging by not keeping in touch. Of course all was forgiven but I am guessing that Freddie just wanted to be "off leash" for a bit and that meant that he would not even phone home.
@@sherryheim5504 Please dint quote the fulm as fact most of it was bs He didn't leave the band ti do a solo He didnt have to come back and apologise... Yes they had a brake after hot space He started his solo but then worked on it while also doing Queen the works album and finished it during a brake in the tour There was no not keeping in touch with anyone His first solo album was uk no 6 I think and Barcalona no 8 Id need to check
He was always non apologetic for his life. There will never be another .

Freddie spoke about the band splitting up and Freddie said is wasn't true and that people were talking out of their backside.
