My granny used to sing this while washing her dishes and looking out the window of her little one bedroom flat when I was a boy back in the 60’s , it brings a tear to my eye cause she lost my grandfather and I went to stay with her to keep her company. I loved that woman and I wish I could go back in time and tell her how much ❤️

@@dana_brooke_27 It's supposed to be set in a cold war that ended up in an post nuclear apocalypse. Culture wise humanity never progressed past the 1950s so all of the music in the game is like this or similar.

I have this Album....on Vinyl! This song was used for an Estee Lauder Commercial [If I remember correctly. Used in a Commercial regardless in the 80's]. The commercial was filmed at Hearst Castle, at the outside pool.

Classic! My favorite song of The Ink Spots is "If I Didn't Care". As another commenter said, The Platters are another good choice. The Great Pretender, Smoke gets In Your Eyes, Only You...They have too many good songs to mention.

If I Didn't Care is magical. I first heard it in Ford Motor Company commercial. Grandfather and grandson were walking to a barn. The music starts as the 1964 Ford Fairlane comes into view

Have loved the real Ink spots for years.You had to be so good back then to become super stars especially if you where Black and worked as hotel porters.Today It's pretty people who have been manufactured for the insatiable appetite the masses have for the talent show circuit, singing crappy songs wrote to a formula by Studio writers and the voice auto tuned as they cant sing even with the thousands spent on singing lessons.. and those professional one to one dance classes wont come cheap either...God Im in a right Grump tonight.

this was used in a famous video game called Fallout 4. It was a song you played in a post apocaliptic makeshift radio station. SOMEWHERE in pre war washington DC,
Imagine scavaging through an iradiated post apocaliptic area, filled with mutaded animals and insects, pre bomb fragmets everywhere, skeletons where they last stood 200 years prior and a scavaged wasteland with a makeshift 200 year old rifle, a makeshift radio station playing while you traverse and wander the wasteland of washington/nevada/ apalachian mountains. And as you pass the game, this plays and you... get lost in the game... inmersed.... In fact heres a video!
