- In episode 163 of Heavy Metal Philosophy, I speak with the mighty Black Tusk. I was curious where they think punk rock stands in today's music scene. During the conversation, we touched on having great parents and where the motivation to make heavy music comes from when life is good. We wound up making some fun jokes along the way too, because it should come as no surprise that Black Tusk are cool dudes as well as great musicians!
Get Black Tusk's new album 'A Way Forward' this Friday April the 26th!

@@heavymetalphilosophyAlways a pleasure John!! Thank you!! 🙋♀️🤘🙏
Another hardcore punk sounding/style band's new shit I am looking forward to this year besides Knocked Loose.
Is this the year of hardcore?! 🤘🤘
I saw them in Belgium and Netherlands for seven times or so, last friday on Desertfest Antwerp in Trix on the big stage, mine first time was +10 years ago also in Trix but then on a very small stage with an very small audience.. allways fun👍
Amazing! I need to see them too. 🤘🤘
Thanks Keanu Reeves
😆🤘🤘
More like John Wick.
Nice to see Black Tusk is releasing new music. Great interview and thank you, Jon.
Thanks Brian! 🙏🤘
Another stellar episode, always worth the time, and I will be checking out Black Tusk!
Thank you! 🙏🤘
Very much enjoyed the interview with these guys! They really seem like cool dudes 😎 Too bad I'm all the way up in North Dakota and you're down south. I would love to see them live😎🍻🤘🔥
Maybe they'll tour on this record somewhere in driving distance. 🤞🤞
@@heavymetalphilosophy That would be cool 😎🤘
Love these guys!!
Me too now! 😁🤘🤘
Great episode and really cool guys. I hadn’t listened to much Black Tusk, but I’ll check them out!
That also reminded me I need to get down to Savannah and visit my brother again soon! Love that city! Haha thanks for the reminder!
Thanks! And yes I love Savannah as well. There's a great seafood restaurant on the outskirts where you can feed gators and there's feral cats everywhere outside.
@@heavymetalphilosophy I always hit up Huey’s and some of the other riverside restaurants when I’m there, but gators sounds good! Remember the name? I’ll check that place out when I go!
@@bastioncrider1179 The Crab Shack. It's in between Savannah and Tybee
Aarruugghhhhh!!
Arrrgghh! 🤘
