Alabama has a different philosophy on facilities than everyone else in college football, actually. Instead of building one brand-spanking-new mega facility that costs a bajillion dollars once every 20 years like everyone else, Alabama is constantly rotating parts of their facilities to get facilifts every 7 or 8 years or so. There's always *something* under construction to keep the energy high and fresh. For example, they'll unveil a sparkling new locker room. Two years later, an enormous, high tech weight room that would rival anything NASA could muster. A few years after that, new stadium locker rooms. Soon after, a new indoor facility + home stadium fan amenities. And because they win all the damn time, every year or two the trophy room receives another addition and upgrade. Finally, while it never gets the same coverage in the media as all of their other facility renovations, Alabama is also constantly upgrading the players' dorms & apartments to improve their daily living conditions in recognition of their sacrifices in upholding the football program's uncompromising standards of excellence. It's just different at Alabama in so many ways. They have a very revolutionary, very cutting edge internal doctrine on how they approach facility upgrades. The neverending construction projects keep the campus buzzing with anticipation and energy that always pays HUUUGE dividends for them in recruiting each year.
The top three college teams with the most active NFL players are Alabama #1(63), LSU #2(57), Ohio State #3(55). Alabama and LSU play each other every year. The equipment manager mentioned it is the game each year with the most damaged equipment from all the hard hitting. The NFL draft is coming up soon so that will change as new players are added from the draft and other players retire or are released. Currently the most famous Bama players in the NFL are Derrick Henry(led the NFL in rushing several years, one Bama's 4 Heisman winners, all of them since 2009), Julio Jones(although he is near the end of his career, should be a first ballot hall of famer) and the combo of Tua Tagoviloa(starting Miami Dolphins QB) and his former Bama, now Miami Dolphins teammate, Jaylen Waddle, starting WR. The starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts, who would have likely been the Super Bowl MVP if they had held on and not given up the lead/win, spent his first three years at Bama before transferring for his Senior year to Oklahoma(he had been replaced by the aforementioned Tua). Devonta Smith, another Bama Heisman winner is one of the starting WR on that Eagles team. Bryce Young, latest Bama Heisman winner, is considered anywhere from the top overall draft pick in the upcoming draft to one of the top 5 picks, depending on who you ask. He has been the starting Bama QB the last couple of years. Joe Namath might be the most famous former Bama player or maybe even most infamous, to play in the NFL. He was the Super Bowl III MVP, as the New York Jets QB. He also was a well known "Ladies man" back in the 60's and 70's.
They don’t play one game a week because of logistics. It’s more due to the incredible amount of wear and tear a game has on the body, and the amount of preparation and study that is required to play at a high level
Shit I would retire at 18 I remember after games I would be physically drained, and then the next day we would have our burn out so every Saturday it was re-ran like 2 miles and worked out even if we had a game that was like two hours away and got home around 1 AM that we had practice at eight to tell you Texas football is different
Keep in mind this video is 4 years old. The facility just underwent another massive expansion and improvement not long after this video was made so the facilities are waayyyy better even now then they were in this video. If you want to check out the new video it’s titled “Inside the Alabama Crimson Tide’s $288,000,000 football facility”. Bama has been the top dog in college football for a long time but especially over the last 15 years multiple heisman award winners and pretty much any other trophy you could imagine has been won by an Alabama player at some point recently. Jalen Hurts and Devonta Smith are both from Alabama and played together on th eagles in the Super Bowl a few weeks ago. Alabama has had more NFL players drafted from them I. The past 15 years than any other team in college football. Roll tide gents
There are 2 Bama players on the biggest freaks in the NFL today video-Julio Jones and Derek Henry. Jerry Juedy is another big name. Bama has the most players on current rosters in the NFL followed by Ohio State and LSU
The students who work at the facility are, like all universities-students can apply for work study where they work somewhere on campus, earn a fixed income which helps them to pay for their loans or provides additional income for spending money. They also can get some college credit as well, if it is 8n their field of study. So here, if the university has a sports management program, 1st and 2nd year students might apply to work at the sports facility. As they get into the 3rd and 4th year, they are probably doing internships where they are working for the actual team or a local team. My son studied in Ohio and spent a summer internship in San Diego working for the Padres and they were tasked with designing fan enhancement programs. His team’s plan was actually selected by the team’s management of the facility.
The most important game in Alabama's sustained football brilliance was actually a lopsided defeat in September 1970, when Southern California, with African American stars galore, went into Legion Field in Birmingham and beat Bear Bryant's all-white Alabama team 42-21. Methinks Bryant (and a few others) were making the point to a subset of Alabamians still resisting desegregation that it was time to grow up, and seeing the beloved Crimson Tide get pounded served the purpose.
Recruitment is a huge deal in college football. The pressure to get the top players have many factors. When these athletes are being recruited they are as young as 16 years old. Some want to stay close to home, others want to play for a certain coach, or want to go to a team that plays a certain style, some want the tradition, other are only there as a step to get to the pros. These facilities are designed to appeal to all these recruits, as a result an "arms race" has developed across the nation. 16:48 That machine is called a JEGGS machine (JEGGS is the company that manufactures it). Basically it is a machine to launch footballs so you do not need to have a QB to throw the ball to practice.
I live in Tuscaloosa Alabama, our football facility and stadium has been building additions or renovations continuously it's currently have additions and upgrades as we speak . We attract the best football players in the world because they get the best training, equipment and facilities in the world . We once was made fun of by the Washington huskies until we rolled into town and gave them a beat down after a two week train ride to play them . We've slowly became the gold standard of college football every since. Thanks for covering the capstone. Roll Tide Roll!
At 14:57, Alabama native Kenny "The Snake" Stabler was one of the earliest football players I remember from childhood in the NFL, as QB for the Oakland Raiders (now the Las Vegas Raiders and used-to-be L.A. Raiders, though I still think of them as the Oakland Raiders). He was the QB on the field in the Raiders' legendary Super Bowl XI win against the Vikings back in 1977. John Madden, before the video game fame (and the commentary gig), was the head coach of that team. There's a video or four of Madden getting carried off the field after that win here somewhere. Hopefully, they're both in a sweet place in the afterlife, trading stories and laughing it up hearty, maybe passing the ball around. RIP, Ken Stabler and John Madden. 🖤🤍
Alabama is a very wealthy university because of their football team. They don't win every year, but they are one of the few teams that get close to winning a title every year. Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Ohio state, Michigan, Clemson to.
For a regular season away game on Saturday teams send an 18 wheel truck of equipment out on Tuesday to arrive by Thursday night. (US is big) Teams flys in on Friday for Saturday games. Only 70 - 75 players go to away games out 0f 130 .
DN, at 3:36, something popped on the screen which it's entirely conceivable that you haven't discussed. On the shoulder of one of the jerseys, the abbreviation emblem SEC was shown. This stands for Southeastern Conference.
Another thing on playi mg one game a week…gives guys time to heal a bit but also implement a game plan. All week you work on how your going to attack an opponent, watch film on your opponent and then as you said the travel etc.
As an alabama fan I wouldn't say we are untouchable...we have obviously been beaten recently and in the past. BUT, since our recent coach came to alabama in 2007 we have won 7 national championships which is by far the most of anyone in a 15 year history (besides the alabama teams from the 60's and 70's). You should watch some videos on Bear Bryant tk really know about the history of alabama football. Its insane...the old school guys would say joe Namath is the most famous player...the younger guys like me would say Derrick Henry or maybe Jalen Hurts
I’d say their most famous player is Joe Namath. He was the MVP of Superbowl III in 1969. You might also say Paul “Bear” Bryant, who had legends about his toughness while in college, but was much more well known for his success as a coach for Alabama. Definitely more famous than Namath, but not because of his playing career.
Picking the most famous player from Alabama is like picking the best player in the NFL hall of fame. There's so many great choices that you can't really settle on one. I don't know if I could definitively pick Namath as being more famous that Bart Starr, Derick Thomas, Don Hutson, Julio Jones, Ken Stabler, or so many others.
If you wanna check out some highlights of bama players. Some names are Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram, Devonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy, and Julio Jones! They’ve all made the NFL, they all have great college highlights. But Julio, and Derrick have the best NFL highlights, you guys would live these guys.
The the student equipment managers most likely don't get paid. They probably get some perks in free gear, and some of them likely travel to some of the away games or bowl games, but generally they would be students who volunteered to work with the program. Most of them are likely looking to work in sports after college, and at schools that offer majors specifically related to sports a lot of those working with the equipment staff are most likely in such a major. There would then be full time paid equipment managers who would make more than minimum wage and would oversee the student volunteers/interns. Depending on the school and the degrees they offer a some of the student interns maybe in a degree program where an internship is required, and so they may receive college credit for their work. The teams will also have a significant amount of internships in other areas related to the team helping out with things such as shooting coaches film, hosting recruits, scouting for high school recruits, film review and opponent scouting, assisting coaches in running practices, and research and analytics. Teams will also have a few Graduate Assistants (GA's) who are essentially entry level coaches. The NCAA technically limits GA's to working 20 hours (There may actually be a written exception for football, but if not there is a de facto exception as enforcing this rule would require pretty much every team to be sanctioned), but they are really full time coaches (which means working significantly more than the 40 hours that constitutes "full time" work in most jobs). GAs must be enrolled in a graduate program taking at least 50% of a normal graduate course load and they get paid around $1000 a month, plus a full scholarship. It takes a lot to run a college football program.
16:42 I don’t know what it’s called besides a “machine thrower”, but that thing is for throwing footballs which is used in drilling the receivers and defensive backs.
not complaining at all here, just something i noticed: i think you guys should slightly angle your camera downward more that way youre positioned a little higher above the video thats playing and so theres less empty space above your heads! alabamas football facility is sick though, cant wait to see you guys react to more of them keep up the videos!
Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it. Monday’s video should be the last one recorded on the basic equipment we were using. We’re hoping from Wednesday the upgraded equipment will resolve all this for us.
Love your videos guys! It’s so cool to see new people learn about a sport with the high potential of turning them into fans. Absolutely love it. You need to check out Oregon’s facilities. Many will argue that it’s all flash with less substance compared to SEC programs, but you can’t deny how incredibly cool and innovative it is. Oregon has single handedly created fashion trends and recruitment strategies in college football. All due to Nike’s founder going to school there as a young track athlete. Oregon is jokingly referred to as University of Nike sometimes.
Derrick Thomas who died young while still playing in the nfl and is concidered if not the greatest DE of all time he is in the discussion. "It was like getting hit by a truck, it really was," former Temple signal-caller Matt Baker told ESPN's Alex Scarborough. During the 1988 season, he racked up five sacks against Texas A&M in a game remembered as the "Hurricane Bowl." That year, Thomas posted an FBS record of 27 sacks. He holds Alabama's career record with 52 Thomas, who died in a car accident at 33 years old, is a member of both the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
That machine that you saw was not a blocking or rushing machine (sled) . It’s a football throwing machine made of two spinning wheels. Kind of like a baseball pitching machine.
As we are heading into March Madness I’d like you to spend a moment getting to know the KU Jayhawks. The record for loudest crowd, the chant has been called haunting by competitors. Basketball history starts at KU with James Naismith and peach baskets. There are a couple of short videos about traditions and how they started. The newspaper during the opposing team intros and the debut of the iconic “Beware the Phog-Pay heed all who Enter” poster made by students initially on shower curtains. Last season, Kansas became the all-time winningest program in NCAA Division I, currently at 2,381 victories.
The students who work there don’t make much money. My brother worked there when he was a student at Alabama. He said the pay was terrible, but the perks were great. He got a brand new pair of shoes before every home game. He got all the shirts, sweatpants and jackets he needed. And after every home game the team bought him and the other student workers supper. The best part was when they won the national championship. Every team member received a commemorative ring, as did the student workers. 😁
Derrick Henry Julio jones Jalen hurts Quinnen Williams Johnathan Allen Minkah fitzpatrick Marlon humphries Mark barron Reggie Ragland Cj mosley Just to name a few but if you guys feel like doing a longer reaction video there is a video of alabamas dynasty run from 2008-present day. I’m an Alabama resident and a huge bama fan and I’m super excited to see how fast your channel has grown and how fast y’all are learning the game is impressive. Also if you want to watch the most exciting game of football watch alabama vs Georgia national championship 2017. The ending will blow you away
Thanks for getting to the Tide. Bama has a long long list of players that have gone on to the NFL. But I think that coach Nick Saban is the most “famous” person. This is said with all due respect to past players and coaches. Saban has become synonymous with Bama and excellence. The video mentioned his intensity and drive, but it was an understatement. There are videos on him, his coaching philosophy, and his legendary anger explosions. His idea of “The Process” of success, has been copied and emulated throughout college football and many other sports. If you hear someone in sports talking about “the process”, which I now hear coaches in football, basketball, baseball, and hockey use, it goes back to Saban.
Alabama has had more players go on to the NFL than any other school and it's not even close, there's a couple great videos regarding such stats among Division 1 schools.
Alabama has easily been the team to beat for the past 15 years, they're usually always getting alot of the best highschool players every year and putting out so many good to great NFL players. But Georgia is starting to take over that #1 spot as the team to beat.
Oh they’ve upgraded? This was link dropped into our comments in another video. We’ll have to check that out as well and have a watch to see what’s changed
I think it’d be fun to have you react to a video with another person who’s knowledgeable about the subject, that way you could ask questions in real-time. Dunno who that’d be, but it sounds fun. Livestream? Twitter space?
Their most famous player? Joe Namath from Beaver Falls, Pennslvania--western Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh area), the birthplace of the greatest QBs of all time: Namath, John Unitas, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly and George Blanda are all in the NFL pro football Hall of Fame. There are at total of 27 QBs in the Hall of Fame and nearly a quarter of them (above) played their high school football within 35 minutes of Pittsburgh PA. And one of them, Joe Montana, is the true GOAT (with Marino not too far behind).
Some high schools have impressive facilities. It's shocking. Places where High School football is nearly a religion. During the season SEC allows the team to only dress 70 players at home or on the road. For a bowl game it's all the players 130. Good job! Thanks for the fun!
😂 This would be funny, and embarrassing! I’ve taken the off season a bit too literally this year. Work plus UA-cam, gym has suffered. But willing to give this a go 😅
Sorry I don’t know your names but judging by your builds I’m gonna say brown shirt, you play tight end (TE) and blue hoodie you play linebacker (LB) or defensive line (DL)
Alabama is always great but rn it's Georgia that is on top , 2 national championships in a row undefeated this past season and destroyed TCU in the championship game Alabama is probably 3rd rn behind Tennessee but Alabama is the all time leader
Under SABAN BAMA has had the most players drafted to the NFL, the most first round drafts and starters and currently has the most players in the NFL ROLL TIDE ROLL
derrick thomas has to be one of the best players to come through Bama and if you're looking for a more modern player than I'd say Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Devonta Smith, Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram. Just to name a couple. Most of Bama's success is from having the 2 best coaches of all time in College Football. Nick Saban and Paul "Bear" Bryant
The equipment you didn’t know that was shown when they were on the practice field is for the defensive and offensive line players to practice pushing against to build up their leg and chest muscles. I think it’s called a blocking or pass rush machine.
An interesting bit of trivia. . . . the coach of Alabama football makes more salary than the governor of the state!!!!! And not by a little bit either!!!!!!!
Not always. My roommate in college was an equipment manager for the football team and did it for her work study. She was paid minimum wage just like I was for my work study, but I worked in cafeteria.
its a 288 million dollar facility, colleges have to be non profit, so naturally they put most of the money they make back into their biggest revenue generator's whichis usuallly football or sports in general. thats why college football coaches make more money than nfl coaches because colleges have to spend that money.
If you’re making comparisons to Alabama and the premier league we’re ManU with our second Sir Alex Ferguson still coaching. If you’re talking European football we’re Real Madrid.
These are the the facilities all the top college football teams have. I'm not an Oregon fan but that facility is even better than this one. Oregon has the Owner of Nike as a donator and everything in that facility is top notch. You can build facilities like this when you don't have to pay the college football players who bring in all the money and used to not get paid for it.-- I'm sorry. They did get their tuition for free. which essentially meant they played for free.
If we can rename your favorite sport soccer and steal the name football for our own newer sport, then you guys should feel free to call our fields a pitch.
Best Bama player ever? Come on man. I'm not a fan of theirs but they have loads. Like asking who Liverpool or ManU's best player is. These top college programs have DUDES all the time
I would have loved to have my 4 to 5 year education paid for at a top university. A lot of people take for granted that they were given $200,000+ in some situations. I certainly couldn't afford that. Besides, NIL is a thing now.
I’m not sure why you don’t know that last year the law was changed and the NCAA now is required to let players profit from their own likeness. This was huge national news and changed the landscape at colleges across the country for all sports.
@hrussell9677 For the 98.4% of college players who don't have a shot in the NFL, they are shit out of luck. And of the 1.6% who do make it, only the highest caliber prospects have access to the endorsement deals you are talking about. Being able to market yourself is a far cry from being paid for your work.
@jenhalfblood Think about it. A $200,000 scholarship is $50,000 a year if you were to break it down into a yearly salary. Do you think that is enough to justify the physical toll of the job, especially considering 98.4% of players will never make it to the NFL? I make $38,000 a year in the shipping department of a warehouse, and the money I bring into my company is pennies on the dollar compared to the revenue these players bring in, in merchandise, ticket sales, and the multi-million dollar broadcasting agreements. That's without considering the much greater threat of bodily harm that college players face. So no, I don't believe a scholarship is anywhere near enough, even at $200,000.
Alabama has 27 national championships and some of them are real. And the no excuses line should put thrown away. The last two years has been nothing but excuses from Alabama fans, coaches, and players.
Please do NFL legends..You will get many more views and responses. Please react to "Lyle Alzado The most feared man in NFL history "by BeastMode. Thank you.
@@DNReacts Meaning these mega schools like Alabama, Texas A@M, etc..... has "pro type" facilities for every sport on campus. Basketball, baseball, track, etc..... for men an women. On the FBS and FCS level, schools must support at least 16 sports teams each for men and women. Schools like Alabama support even more types of sports like swimming, gymnastics, weightlifting, etc etc. All costing millions to support.

The pice of equipment was a Jugs Machine. Used to throw footballs/baseballs at various speeds for recivers or batting practice .
Thanks for this Robert. I had a feeling that’s what it was for but had no idea what it was called.

You’re right Jeff, I just goggled the average weight and 314.8lbs 😂 Makes my 240lbs look tiny. To be fair I picked the subs bench to sit out 😅

You might also say Paul “Bear” Bryant, who had legends about his toughness while in college, but was much more well known for his success as a coach for Alabama. Definitely more famous than Namath, but not because of his playing career.
Thanks for the context Mac. Will have to look them up!
Famous but no where near the best.
Stabler had a better career but Namath was mega famous.
@@fermisparadox01 Both were party animals though.
Thank you for all of these, had added the ones we didn’t already have to our list!
You’ve got to watch part 2! The updates they’ve made since then are insane.
16:42 I don’t know what it’s called besides a “machine thrower”, but that thing is for throwing footballs which is used in drilling the receivers and defensive backs.
Jugs machine.
not complaining at all here, just something i noticed: i think you guys should slightly angle your camera downward more that way youre positioned a little higher above the video thats playing and so theres less empty space above your heads! alabamas football facility is sick though, cant wait to see you guys react to more of them keep up the videos!
Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it. Monday’s video should be the last one recorded on the basic equipment we were using. We’re hoping from Wednesday the upgraded equipment will resolve all this for us.
And thank you for the support, appreciate it
Alabama's most famous and best current NFL player is Julio Jones.
Alabama has 17 National Championships and every year they have the most players going to the NFL, coach Sabin has 6 championships.
Thanks Samuel, really appreciate the support! We’ve got Oregon on the list, we’ll definitely be taking a look
He holds Alabama's career record with 52
Thomas, who died in a car accident at 33 years old, is a member of both the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
That machine that you saw was not a blocking or rushing machine (sled) . It’s a football throwing machine made of two spinning wheels. Kind of like a baseball pitching machine.
Thanks for confirming John, appreciate it!
Thanks Trey, great read! Nice touch that they all received a commemorative ring too
Derrick Henry
Julio jones
Jalen hurts
Quinnen Williams
Johnathan Allen
Minkah fitzpatrick
Marlon humphries
Mark barron
Reggie Ragland
Cj mosley
Just to name a few but if you guys feel like doing a longer reaction video there is a video of alabamas dynasty run from 2008-present day. I’m an Alabama resident and a huge bama fan and I’m super excited to see how fast your channel has grown and how fast y’all are learning the game is impressive. Also if you want to watch the most exciting game of football watch alabama vs Georgia national championship 2017. The ending will blow you away
Thank you Ryan, glad to have you with us for the journey! Also added these to our suggestions list.
Great content. I’ll be viewing and liking any college basketball/ football videos
Appreciate it Jerald! Glad to have your support!
You guys have to react to the upgraded version of their facility it’s 10x better
Oh they’ve upgraded? This was link dropped into our comments in another video. We’ll have to check that out as well and have a watch to see what’s changed
@@DNReacts Please do as this is their practice facility. You need to see the rest. And keep up the great reactions.
We will and thank you for the support, appreciate it a lot
Watch part 2 of this, EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE!
I think it’d be fun to have you react to a video with another person who’s knowledgeable about the subject, that way you could ask questions in real-time. Dunno who that’d be, but it sounds fun. Livestream? Twitter space?
Thanks JB. Have seen it mentioned before. It’s on our radar to discuss. Not too sure how it would work but definitely worth considering
Thanks a lot Mark! Appreciate the support!
There's a part two that shows the rest of the complex
You should react to LSUs facility also.
You guys should record yourselves timing your 40 yard dash for NFL combine and compare with the players
😂 This would be funny, and embarrassing! I’ve taken the off season a bit too literally this year. Work plus UA-cam, gym has suffered. But willing to give this a go 😅
@@DNReacts 😂 it would make for great content
You should check out the Oregon ducks facility
Thanks Ryan, Oregon Ducks on the list! For facilities Oregon and LSU are the next 2.
Georgia just had back to back championships. So they are there at the elite level!
Sorry I don’t know your names but judging by your builds I’m gonna say brown shirt, you play tight end (TE) and blue hoodie you play linebacker (LB) or defensive line (DL)
Haha thanks Lewis, I’m just happy to make the team 😅 Brown shirt (Damo) and Blue Hoodie (Nick)
Please do a Derek Henry feature. You’ll definitely love his running style and stiff-arms. Peace.
Thanks for the suggestion Ras El, just checked the spreadsheet and we’ve got Henry on our list!
Julio Jones went to Alabama he's a top 10 reciever of all time maybe even top 5
Derrick Henry is a bad man from Alabama
Alabama is always great but rn it's Georgia that is on top , 2 national championships in a row undefeated this past season and destroyed TCU in the championship game Alabama is probably 3rd rn behind Tennessee but Alabama is the all time leader
A student working is probably under a work/study program and may be getting less than minimum wage as a cash paycheck.
You were misinformed mate. Georgia is untouchable now. Georgia has taken over the top spot in College Football the last few years.
4:10 it’s a student job so I’d definitely assume it’s minimum wage.
Alabama beats some NFL facilities who recently were graded by the players association.
This is crazy Jennifer! Shows how upgraded these are. We’ll have to take a look at Part 2 of Alabama’s upgrade (didn’t realise there was a Part 2 😅)
RTR!!
Under SABAN BAMA has had the most players drafted to the NFL, the most first round drafts and starters and currently has the most players in the NFL ROLL TIDE ROLL
Thank you! Appreciate the info!
derrick thomas has to be one of the best players to come through Bama and if you're looking for a more modern player than I'd say Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Devonta Smith, Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram.
Do you mean a sled ? I've never heard it called a machine before.
@@stevenmccart8502 It wasn’t a sled it was a football throwing machine.
Roll Tide
Hey guys love your channel here’s a great video too watch “The Greatest nfl combine feats since 2003”
Thank you Reis, really appreciate the support! Of course, have added this to our suggestions list.
An interesting bit of trivia. . . . the coach of Alabama football makes more salary than the governor of the state!!!!! And not by a little bit either!!!!!!!
Wow! Thanks for that context. Knew I always fancied being a coach 😅
in a lot of states the highest paid PUBLIC employee is either a football coach or a basketball coach.
Alabama’s most famous player is Forrest Gump
Alabama is the team to beat? I believe The University of Georgia Bulldogs would like a word.
The people washing the uniforms and organizing them would be students who are volunteers and generally unpaid
Not always. My roommate in college was an equipment manager for the football team and did it for her work study.
She was paid minimum wage just like I was for my work study, but I worked in cafeteria.
This makes sense, thanks Josh!
its a 288 million dollar facility, colleges have to be non profit, so naturally they put most of the money they make back into their biggest revenue generator's whichis usuallly football or sports in general. thats why college football coaches make more money than nfl coaches because colleges have to spend that money.
If you’re making comparisons to Alabama and the premier league we’re ManU with our second Sir Alex Ferguson still coaching. If you’re talking European football we’re Real Madrid.
Barry Sanders is definitely one of the best running backs of all-time. Walter Payton is not far behind.
Bama fans will say they are the team yet a different team has won back to back national championships....
I'll be quick, the most famous player right now out of Alabama is Derrick Henry.
King Henry has been recorded. Due out to the channel soon 💪 Really appreciate the comment, thanks.
If we can rename your favorite sport soccer and steal the name football for our own newer sport, then you guys should feel free to call our fields a pitch.
Thanks Derek 😅 We like to wind each other up if the other one says pitch 😂
Georgia is number one. Im
just speaking truth.
I like LSU and Oregon's facilities better.
Thanks Colleen, these two are next up so will be interesting to compare all these. We’ll crown our very own DN Reacts facility champions 😅
Best Alabama player ever was this one guy named Forrest Gump
😂
Roll tide.
Whos alabamas best player don hutson the greatest football player of all time John hannah and the list goes on and on and on
Joe Namath
Get real
Best Bama player ever? Come on man. I'm not a fan of theirs but they have loads. Like asking who Liverpool or ManU's best player is. These top college programs have DUDES all the time
I’m only 7 weeks into knowing anything about AF. I’ll get there in time! A lot to learn and pick up in this journey. Have a read of our About Page.
LSU please
On the list Sam. Think for facilities Oregon and LSU are next up 👍
This is what college programs can afford build on the backs of players that aren't allowed to be compensated for their play.
I would have loved to have my 4 to 5 year education paid for at a top university. A lot of people take for granted that they were given $200,000+ in some situations. I certainly couldn't afford that. Besides, NIL is a thing now.
You're late, they are getting paid now and some of them are getting more money then they are worth.
😅 Interesting stuff Chase. Thanks for this, great context for us
Georgia put it on them HARD this year.
Please do NFL legends..You will get many more views and responses.
Please react to "Lyle Alzado The most feared man in NFL history "by BeastMode. Thank you.
Thanks Michael, have added to the list. We usually try to do 2 NFL players every week. Deion Sanders is next up on Monday
@DN Reacts Thanks..There is a steroid lesson in Alzado's story..He also fought Muhammad Ali..
Sorry dude , you're too small to be an offensive lineman...way too small. Stand next to a div 1 offensive line and you'll see what I mean.
Keep in mind, this is just one facility for ONE SPORTS TEAM.
For sure. Up to now we’ve only seen Alabama and Texas A&M. Plenty more to come too
@@DNReacts
Meaning these mega schools like Alabama, Texas A@M, etc..... has "pro type" facilities for every sport on campus. Basketball, baseball, track, etc..... for men an women.
On the FBS and FCS level, schools must support at least 16 sports teams each for men and women. Schools like Alabama support even more types of sports like swimming, gymnastics, weightlifting, etc etc. All costing millions to support.
React to the Dolphins vs raven week 2 highlight game of the year in my opinion
