Why does this song sound so futuristic?!? As someone who grew up with this masterpiece. I was listening again to this song by accident at a store in town and it just feels do modern in some way. Like it could been released recently. Sonique was just waaaaaaah ahead of her time during the 90s.
It's timeless and perfect that's why, but also going into the 2000's a lot of music and movies were going with a futuristic theme because it's wasn't the new millenium yet, but it just felt like 2000 was going to be so futuristic. So in this song in particular there's this sonic vibration you hear in the opening like you would in a futuristic movie, and then the vocals and the baseline and then how they play with parts of her vocals. It's like it just feels like something that never has been duplicated, so even in 3000 it's going to sound modern. It really is rare and it feels so good! ;)
To me, I love the fact that this song sounds very different from other dance tracks. You can tell it's 100% Sonique's song and the energy she pours into it you can feel throughout your entire body. The song isn't just catchy but it sends chills down your spin which to me makes the song above and beyond. From the beat, to the bass, to the strings, each part of this song has a purpose! So many layers!
People don’t truly understand how much art, passion, soul that’s really in this song. When you blast this on some headphones you get lost and forget about all your trouble for just 3 minutes or longer than that if you do repeat like me 😎

I was living in NYC, but never heard it there. I heard it being played non-stop when i was traveling to Rio four times a year. This song was *massive* in the clubs in Brazil. And i still love this because it takes me back to that era, those nights.
This song actually describes how you feel when you hear it. It is an all time classic and has a unique energy to it. Very high vibration and makes me imagine whenever i listen to it.

'Sky' was another good tune by Sonique. Feels So Good I'm sure was released in the UK twice by the way, 1998 then re released in 2000. Where it charted highest. Redone the music video too. Same went for MJ Cole sincere, also 98 and re released in 2000.

What an absolute banger this track still is! All of these years later I can vividly remember what I was doing when I heard this song for the very first time. I was in my car driving home from spending the day with a guy who eventually became my boyfriend. We had just met a few days prior and decided to spend the entire day together for the first time to see if there was any chemistry. After the day was over, I got in my car feeling very giddy because it felt like this was going somewhere. I turn on the radio and this song is playing. The lyrics fit so perfectly with how I was feeling at that moment! It will always be special to me because of that. 😊
