Hey man! Yeah! Here’s how I’m tuning my snare these days (not the exact setup in the specific video, but here’s how I’m doing it now!). 1. Tune the bottom snare head very tight (should sound very high-pitched like a timbale when you hit it) 2. Make the snare wires are positioned evenly across the bottom snare head (you don’t want them too far to one edge of the drum), 3. Top head is tuned to a medium/low pitch (get all the lugs even), and I’m using a Big Far Snare Drum thin ring. I’ve recently been using a TuneBot (electronic drum tuner) to help with tuning! I tune the bottom snare head to 375-380, and the top snare head to 220-230. Hope that helps! 👊🏻
