- Hello friends and welcome to my 2023 house tour! If you happened to watch my older home tour videos then you'll notice a significant difference in this tour. We are slowly chipping away at our clutter and learning to live with only the most important stuff in our house and letting go of all the rest.

It's so hard to find house tours like this on YT anymore. Now they're all oversized mansions that are totally unrealistic. We need more real videos like this one!
Thank you for watching. It's not beautiful or perfect but I'm keeping it realistic. Especially in this market, we haven't been able to rent anything else or buy.

I absolutely agree with you. Those homes are very expensively beautiful but not really realistic for so many people. I’m on a seedling minimalism mode for the past year. This means that I’m just became committed to this life style. I’m finding out that I wished that when I was just 20 years old I had encountered minimalism because looking back, I thought of having less and do more.
When I mentioned watching videos to become minimalist in our 950 sf home, my hubby said that all the homes are big, and that we should do a video. Family of 5 in townhome built in the 40s. This video inspires me.
Beautiful, peacefil and cozy. I have 6 children , now grown , w I homeschooled. When people came into our house ,they said they thought there would be more toys for 6 kids. My kids now in their 30's and one in his late 20's saod they had enough toys. We had tons of books and music because I read to them before bed, even though they could read. I see too many children totally overwhelmed by way too many toys and often timesnot appreciate what they have and also grow up feeling entitled to lots of expensive things, but never be happy

You have a beautiful home! Everything looks so neat and tidy. I agree a decluttered home is more calm and easier to keep clean. I am working on getting my house decluttered. It’s a process. ❤❤❤

Very nice 👍. You said “chipping away” which is the perfect phrase for someone on the declutter journey. Most of our house is minimal, however, there are things that I wish I had more of a handle on. But over the last 10 years, we have downsized 3 times, and continue to declutter with things that I have had a tough time letting go of. Thank you for showing us your beautiful home ❤

Love your home! We too have a small home, but it’s now just me, my husband, and my 18 year old daughter. The other kids have flown the nest! If you don’t mind my asking, I am just wondering what your plans are for a space for your daughter as she gets older?
Thank you for watching. We still plan to buy our own home which will hopefully be larger (currently renting) and she will have her own room. Just trying to be patient and disciplined until we are able to do so.
