I'm a hardcore roadie but it's actually mad if you think about it how much MTB technology from the past 2 decades has trickled into road cycling in just the past few years. To the engineer in me this makes total sense though. A MTB is just a much easier platform for "prototyping" just by virtue of how much less important weight is and how much bigger and beefier things have to be anyway.
You don’t have to have the best bike to have a great time on a bike. A helmet is always important. But just ride what you can and enjoy yourself. Maybe one day you can get something like this 👌
@Kia sedona quite down. You have probably never built a several thousand dollar bike before. Just watch and enjoy the content. It doesn't make a big difference wether you do it in an x or a circle. Notice at the end of the scene that he checked the bolts for equal tension
Wow some Stan's no tubes Flow S1 series, some weird design of the frame, and overall I like it. Although a 12 speed drivetrain might be too much for me, sticking to Prime 9, and running stans wheels on my bike.
Can I ask how you managed to get the rear brake cable through the rear stay? Did you remove the grommets first or thread it with them in. I am really struggling and have already ruined my hope brake hose and a couple of rubber grommets. I’m at the point where I am about to do away with the rubbers and just use some electrical tape to stop any frame chaff against the brake hose. Help!
Most are yes, you can have a internally routed dropper if your frame has the appropriate holes for the cable to enter , if not you can get a externally routed dropper where the cable needs zip tying to the frame

A drop of Interflon Fin Super Dry lube on the exposed seat post will work a treat!
