Do you own a Classic Vibe??? What do you think???? Do you know a good alternative to the Classic Vibe series??? Are there any other guitars you want to see???🎸🏆🎼🎵
If you could get and review a squire classic vibe hss I want to get one and want it in walnut finish
I have several classic vibes. I just got a 60s strat a few days ago. Great guitars. I also own the 50s strat, 50s Esquire, 50s p bass, 70s p bass, 60s jazz bass, and the jag bass. I only replaced the hardware on the basses to be more vintage accurate. I love my 50s strat as is but i got this shell pink 60s strat to make it a hss. Just gonna get a mint green gaurd cut for hss and have a sd alnico custom soldered in. I don't use the wiggle stick so i foam up the springs to keep from reverberating. Also plan to throw on a big brass block in the bridges of my strats.
@@chrisbassman3936 do you think a classic 60's is a good starter electric guitar? I've played acoustic for a while- but idk if i should get a squier classic or use more money and buy a fender player. any suggestionws?
Im a bit slow but.
I got a CV 50's strat. I changed the bridge and tremolo for the Fender Vintage trem bridge and the fat trem block and i changed the strings for the Gilmour 10s.
The strat is a pure blues machine and with the fat block the sustain is unreal.
I also lightly sanded the neck with an extremely fine sandpaper(still has the gloss) so i can navigate it fast.
The frets came perfect out of the box, smooth as silk.
@@elelz6409 Hey man. Thanks for the comment. I have made pretty much the same mods at this point. It really is a great guitar. I am actually about to start making videos regularly again, hope to see you around
Ive been a student of the guitar for 30 years now and you just tought me one can tell intonation by looking at the saddles.
Great rewiew! Beatiful sound, looks great too!
Wow great color
Beautiful color, Lake Placid Blue one of my favorites
Super useful video. Thanks from Italy 🟢⚪️🔴
This guitar is on my list of future pick ups! Thanks for the video John!
Thank you for watching!!! I tried to be very reserved, as we all have a tendency to like stuff a little too much when we first get it. I can tell you after a few weeks, this guitar is amazing. It's not that it is a great guitar for the money, it's a great guitar, period.... I have a long term review coming.....
I got a 50's CV tele and I am in luv with it. It gets more play time than my MIM tele.
I had to have a good giggle at the way you tipped the box and watched what ever it was come flooding out lol..
G&L tribute S 500 will be a good review for the future
Nice
Although my tuners were ok, I did "upgrade" to fender Japan tuners, no reaming required. Just freeze new bushings overnight and press in. Better, but not necessary. Necessary was the block, Amazon Wilkinson block with push in tremolo arm. Bigger block and no threads to strip out $20 total. Now it's just amazing! Just wanted to let the diy'ers out there know!
I bought a super heavy block from GFS, I would not reccomend the GFS one
Vraiment bien ta guitare.
Rock on dude.
Nice guitar man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥
It really is. I am working on a real review, as I was keeping my opinion to myself for the most part in that first vid. The story of this guitar is that it continues to impress me all of the time. I like it better overall than the Black American Standard that I used to have on my channel sometimes!!!
I just tried a new one at GC and the older series has a thinner neck, new ones are chunkier but both good.
I have this exact guitar. Can’t fault it.
It really is exceeding my expectations. I find the pickups have a unique presence.. not sure if I like them or not. I will say it is a great guitar. the neck is beautiful. I was trying not to be too enthusiastic in the video, as sometimes a new guitar can fool me at first...Anyways, thanks for checking out my humble little channel.
nice guitar bro, keep going.
Thanks for the encouragement, and for tuning in...
Really nice color.. thinking of the red/maple neck one..but this is noice..
They are great guitars. I was reserving my judgement in that video until I played it a little more. If you watch my in depth follow up video that's coming up, I am going to really get into the pros and cons and all that. To sum it up, I would recommend these to anyone after playing one for a while. Also,a lot of the reviews online say that the Trem needs to be upgraded in order to use it, that's wrong. The trem works great if you adjust it.
How you doing Buddy? Good to see you on you tube. I bought my Squier classic vibe stratocaster in April 2020 in candy apple red and have nothing but good things to say. Happy guitar slinging. Peace.
Thanks. They are great guitars. I hope to do my long term follow up video soon, but some life stuff happened, and I have had to take a break from uploading as I dont have internet access at this time. I will be back at it though, hopefully soon!! By the way, highwood saddles are a brilliant upgrade for this guitar
Thanks for your time and effort in making this video. I just got this (Exact) guitar; it's made in the same place as yours. I'll be "Very" interested to hear your opinions (After) you make your in-depth inspection with all of the "Factory" Specs and what changes you make. Overall, this is a "Very" solid guitar for the money IMHO. Although, I did have to make several adjustments to make it a better fit for me and my (Blues) style. I did (First of all) have to use 5 Levels of StewMac Eraser and then Polish the Frets. A couple of coats of Fretboard Oil, after that, and the improvement was "Amazing". Like you will, I did change the strings to 10's (In my case) which worked out better for sure. A few more adjustments later, I can say that "This guitar is a keeper" for sure. Again, thanks and I hope to see that video coming out soon.
I hope to be making that video soon, although there isn't really any problems I found. My frets did need to be polished also, but I can live with that. I had a bad experience with an affinity Tele earlier in the year that had me nervous to go Squier again, but I have owned a lot of Squier, and they have treated me well, so I went with this guitar. The affinity was an "ok practice guitar" The classic vibe is an instrument....
Nice. I love that blue! I don't know why, but YT wasn't referring your videos to me. I'm catching up now.
I have actually been in a little video slump, but I am literally uploading a decent lesson as I type this. It's frustrating though, the lessons never do well and they take more work. Educating beginners is part of why I started the channel, but people just seem to want gear videos. Anyways, check out my tone on the quick solo in the beginning of the Blues Lesson thats about to come out, when it does. I have this thing sounding really good, even through my cheap gear...
Me too, first one.
I own exactly the same since two months. Unbelievable guitar for this price. Im looking forward to do my next video with the strat.
I am getting ready to do my kind of long term review of the guitar. I was holding back on my opinion when I took it out of the box. You know how you tend to really like stuff when you first open it... but anyways, after playing the guitar for a few weeks, it really is incredible....
@@overdriveguitarchannel3403 the only thing I can‘t fix is the fact, that the the high e String and the b string are too silent. In not a pro though. Maybe you can help talking about this in your next vid
@@gionnibrasco6597 Have you checked pickup height? Do you know how to adjust pickup height? Would a video about how I set up my guitars be helpful, or is it just the voulume difference that you need help with? Every adjustment was perfect on mine except for pickup height....
@@overdriveguitarchannel3403 yes i tried to change the Pickup hight, doesnt make that difference. Still have the volume problem. Maybe it‘s the quality of the strings. I should change them soon
@@gionnibrasco6597 Are they the original strings? Because usually I would say it's probably not that, but the strings that come on them are terrible. I can't think of anything else that would make you have this problem, and strings are cheap. after 2 months u needthem anyway
I think it's safe to say.. You like that one :)
Dude those Indonesia gutiars are great quality my jazzmaster j mascis is bad ass and excellent quality I think it's better than mim fenders any day so hope u love it very nice gutiar rock on bro peace out
Got 1 coming from Sweetwater in 2 tone sunburst with a maple neck.Enjoy your Strat.I know I will.
Hey Daniel, Just saw this comment. I had to take a break from videos, and even playing in general unfortunately. just getting back at it now. So, how is the guitar? Still have it? Mods? Hope to hear from you......Have fun, and play with purpose...
Johnny O @ Overdrive Guitar
Dope strat dude, I got an affinity that became my partscaster (lol) and it's pretty sick. Thinkin about a classic vibe possibly in the future.. you from providence RI?
Yes, I am from outside Providence. If you are in the area, looking for people to jam and maybe start a project with...
asking how the neck ? is it same as fender neck ? easy to sweep picking ?
Does yours came with the big trem block on the back? Cheers mate
These look stunning and for the money, well, it's no argument really.
It has been a great guitar. I had to take a break from the videos, and playing in general for about a year. When I picked guitar back up , it was the guitar that was most comfortable for me to play, and has barely left my hands since I picked it up. I will have to go back and check, but I believe that this vid was done with stock pickups. I have replaced them, along with electronics, and added a treble bleed. I may have to break out the stock pickups and the soldering iron for a comparison video.... Anyway, hope to see you on here now that I will be posting again.... Have fun, and play with purpose.....

No better day than NGD!
What a beauty! Love that lake placid blue.
I just posted a vid other day playing an original on my new Yamaha NTX1. Check it out if when you have a sec.
Rock on 🤘 bro
I really like Yamaha guitars, they always play so good...
Nice stuff man!
But don't get fooled by the Laurel board, because I've seen some in real life on the higher end Squiers and they are just awful!
And I have a Affinity from.. I think 2016 or 17 which has a more nicer Rosewood than my actual Fender 60's Stratocaster. So it may vary a lot there, and if it's important to you (like it is to me) then I would make sure to see if first before I buy.
I don't like how Pau Ferro looks for example, but when I ordered my black Fender Player Strat the company send over pictures of the actual guitar and it looked very nice and dark. So I hit the jackpot ;)
If you have fretboards that the rosewood is a bit light, or pau ferro or laurel for that matter, check out a fretboard conditioner called Fret Doctor. It is just natural oils, but it really darkens up those woods a lot of times...
@@overdriveguitarchannel3403 Okay, thanks for the tip man :)
Wheres is tremolo arm?
Follow up video coming soon hopefully. I have had to take a small break from uploading because of some life events. Hope to be posting new content, which includes the trem arm!!!
Not a fan of metallic blue guitars, but that's a looker.
Same with me. If you had described the guitar to me, I would have hated it, but this color really does work. I did a dry fit of some cream plastics for it, and it looks much better without the plastic being so white. Almost thinking of putting the Fender tuners with the pearloid buttons on it, another thing that I don't typically like.
Cream would go great with that colour for sure.
