I feel like it's due to the fact that she sees that her father does feel bad for the family and is capable of leaving his dreams behind. Manager Don is completely defeated and miserable because she realized that she misjudged him thinking he doesn't care for the family, and if she tried to talk to him instead of killing right away he would give up. She killed the most important person to her for nothing.
