Lyds is so blessed to have such a handy and driven husband. 'Driven', meaning he takes the initiative to do things around the home and does it efficiently. Good Job with the electrical work, etcetera, Ali!👍
I like the overlap in content because it's a different perspective. Plus you do different things with your unique style. The eggshells also provide calcium to the plant as well as being a slug deterrent. Put a shallow dish of beer. Slugs love beer... lol...
Ali rescuing the frog, brilliant 🙂🐸 just showed my 2 young boys 😊 My hubby is like this with wildlife, whereas as I shriek and freak out shouting 'ahhhhh get it out of here!!!' He will calmy remove them and free them outside ☺ Unless it's a wasp....He hates wasps 😄
I agree with you Ali, Bees are fascinating. I once heard that aerodynamically a bee is not supposed to be able to fly because it’s body is so much bigger than its wings. So symbolically, it reminds us that often the impossible is possible. Now you’ve sparked my interest. I hope that you take us along for your ‘flight of the bumblebee’ journey😊.
Ali...you are the sweetest man. I love how you are with the animals in your space. Glad Lumi has her voice back. We have three cats (garden variety that we rescued as kittens). My stiped one is a talker too!!
Little bees 🐝 wow , lock down has created some awesome things , a lot of loss but some imaginative thing have come from the extra slow pace of live . Personally you and Lydia have evolved so much and taken us down paths I would never imagine going on your channels. I like to thank you for putting the extra time and effort into your content . Back to the bees 🐝 when can I view the pent hive xxx Stay safe stay well xxx
Ali, your videos are just peaceful and a joy to watch. For some reason, I feel the need to clean or spruce up my house in some way after watching them.
Ali, one very lovely thing is watching you work, you are so organised and have everything ready, really admire you! But seeing you handling animals, rescuing frog, that is something utterly special. Thank you for your big heart. Greetings from Prague, Czech republic.
Please do contact your local Beekeeper. Get lots of books to read up on Honeybees and educate yourself before you invest in bees, a hive and all the tools. Prepare yourself to fail. Here in Ohio our survival rate is 50%. I've failed every year and that is normal.😤 You do not want to take honey from a hive in the first year because the bees need the food to winter over. I know you are going into this as most do with the idea of having your own honey but if you shift your thinking slightly to wanting to help bees survive you might get a better mental reward. They are the most incredible and fascinating group of ladies you will ever meet. Education and learning is key. DO NOT GET USED EQUIPTMENT FROM ANYONE! Best of luck and welcome to a new obsession.🐝
Stefanie Sombaty i’ve already got the local Bee keepers number 🙌🏻 and i’ve been passed some contacts within the Bee world. I’m keen to learn I appreciate your advise thank you
Stefanie Sombaty a comment on this comment to Ali. Remember to check if the system you are thinking about purchasing is suitable for your climate. Enough isolation during winter so they don't freeze to death or use up thier reserves of honey to quickly so they starve to death.

Loved this one, Ali! I’m a new house owner and you both are showering us with so much love, peace, creativity and motivation. Well done you guys! So much to learn from you two! Please give Lydia a big hug. You’re very beautiful human beings inside out and everybody can learn from you how to try and make the best possible version of yourself and everything around you !!! ❤️
How cool you actually have a bottom room and pool table. I'd love to relax down their in the cool with a drink late even listening to the water. Beautiful home guys.🥰👌🏼✌🏼🙏🏼
You need a birdbath underneath the bird feeders. They have solar-powered ones that have small fountains on them. It would be nice to look at from inside the house too.
Your like a cross between Alan titchmarsh and David Attenborough, with the wildlife and the gardening, so great to watch you work, Ali your such a professional x
Another lovely vlog!! I always learn something new on each vlog that I had no idea about so thank you for teaching us whilst entertaining. It's always a positive escape to enjoy for 40 odd mins and gives us dream home ideas.
I love that her hair is longer. She is so incredibly beautiful!!!! Such a lovely sweet couple. I can feel their kindness. Aloha, love and peace from Hawaii!!!! ❤️😘💋🧜🏻♀️🌈☀️🌊🌺🥰❤️
I love watching your vblogs as you speak so clear and calm , just so relaxing plus educational ... More Ali as you chill my evening watching you ... Love what your doing around the house and garden too ...hugs xx
It was lovely to see you save the frog. I would build a wildlife pond in the woods to encourage your frogs and also build a woodpile nearby to encourage beetles too. Both frogs and beetles eat slugs and you would create a great wildlife ecosystem too!
as a gardener I can tell you there is nothing nicer than picking your own tomatoes and biting into them (Like an apple) well done on your 1st attempt of repotting your fruit trees, I would trim them to shape whilst you are at it. Don't let them get out of shape at this early stage. Loving this home vloging by the way.
We had a happy accident and had an opening on our porch. Some honey bees made themselves at home and filled our porch. It was so loud you could hear them when you stood on our porch. Unfortunately, they started to make their way inside the house so we had them relocated. The guy that came out took out buckets of honey from our porch and we kept some. It was the best tasting honey I’ve ever had !
okay you Mr Millen brings me great memories of my late HANDSOME. Its not a year yet, but watching you makes me think of how blessed I was to have a man that did everything around here. I'd always give big hugs and kisses and thanked him. He was really an awesome hubby. I hope your beautiful wife appreciates it and tells you. I miss him so, I do understand and.a good man is hard to find.😜
Love fountains, as they are so relaxing. Yes you did a good thing with the rocks because it sounded too hallow. Like my late hubby who always cleaned up after his jobs and went beyond, you go.
I watched a few documentaries about bees and they're the most fascinating creatures. They feed the queen royal jelly. It's a super food, I take it from time to time and it gives me energy. Can't wait to hear all about your bees adventure, I'm fascinated.
Heyy! My dad is a beekeeper and as far as I understand the honey flow hives are not the best for UK because it's too cold and the honey is too thick to flow. Hope it helps ! X
wow I saw the timing and I was like 44 minutes HELL YESS GIVE MEE!! I just love watching you and your family. it feels like we are related somehow its weird to say but it does feel like that. keep doing this man you are doing AMAZING. stay safe and healthy :)
Should put your tea (not the bag but the loose tea leaves) in your planters, there really good compost as well. I would also look in to cats around beehives. Last thing you want is baby bangle getting attacked by multiple stings.. There curious little creatures.
Truly enjoy your vlogs and great relationship you and lids have and the cat she's so adorable answering everything you say and do with her. So adorable. God bless you all.🥰👌🏼✌🏼🙏🏼
I’m so excited to see how you get on with your Flow Hive. My mom desperately wants one but cant bring herself to buy it so I was thinking of gifting it to her for Christmas this year.
Great vlog Ali so informative I fancy having a look at the allotment guy these folks really know their stuff. I think it's incredible the way Lumi speaks to you it always sounds like a real two way conversation. Will follow the beehive strand with much interest. I didn't realise how difficult it was to actually get honey so hope you prosper who knows we might end up buying Gordon's Lavender Honey one day.🐝🐝🐝
Join your local beekeeper association and or the state chapter. You will need to feed your hives the first year and over the winter periods. Lots to learn before you start spending money.
I would love to come and see the Bees in their little home when you get all the equipment! 🐝🐝🐝 I love I idea of not hurting or killing the bee when getting the honey 🍯 x
I thought the same about bees just finding a random hive and then move in! Think it's because I had bug houses for ladybirds and other mini beasts to chill out in.
Hello. Your citrus trees are called calamansi in the Philippines. Ripe and orange is ok, but they are meant to be sour and are best picked and consumed when they are green. Use them as an ingredient/condiment like you would a lemon or lime. Mixed with soy or fish sauce makes an excellent condiment for seafood or Asian noodle dishes. They are also great squeezed into a light beer. Since yours are ripe, Lydia can use them in her tonic, make lemonade, or better yet... limoncello!! There are tons of great videos from Filipino UA-camrs showing recipes and how to care for your calamansi tree. Best of luck and enjoy!
Love the orange trees. For easy movement of huge, heavy pots, consider getting the pot with rollers. They're usually available at the garden center. It's a round base with wheels and you place the big pot on it. Love your vlog!
🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝. imagine all that honey 🍯 Absolutely a brilliant thing to do ! They say you should alway eat the honey that is most local to you. So yeah, fantastic 👍💙👍 you guys are doing a fabulous job with your house and garden. It’s really nice to watch. 👍
I have to admit...I grab tomatoes from the fridge and eat them as my snack...I am obsessed! I had to do this instead of carrots as my face was turning orange!! (True story)
Ali 40 mins flew by in the wink of an eye...even longer would have been just fine by me! 😀😉. You are becoming quite the gardner and am very excited to learn and see more about flow honey. I think ill require popcorn for ur next video. 🥰🌈👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fresh home grown tomatoes in the summer are delicious. In the US, when in season, tomato sandwiches are a treat. Also tomatoes sliced into wedges with oil and vinegar are also great. Sliced on a burger with lettuce and cheese are also yummy...and I would definitely eat one fresh off the vine with a little salt... but I don’t eat store bought tomatoes...gross...oh and you have fresh basil..slice up a local tomato, some basil, olive oil and fresh mozzarella on a pizza crust..delish!
Ali, were are on the Gold Coast in Australia. I have wanted a hive in our garden too. We have a lot of native plants that attract birds and insects. I was shocked to learn that the bee's just won't come if I provided a hive. Not to worry.

Have you thought of using Bottomless Pots for your Citrus trees? You'd have to decide where you want the plants permanently placed but the tree & roots will be happier in the long run. A good pruning of interior branches would aid in producing fruit.
Beer works for slugs. Just place a pie pan with beer under the leaves of the plant & that'll take out your slugs. You can even use cheap domestic beer, slugs don't care.
Ali you are not alone! I also thought that bees would just find the hive and move in hahahaha
Maybe you can use the oranges to make iced tea, the tart flavour is great with a sweetener of your choice in the tea
