sometimes the "goals" that you said are just residues from your childhood dreams,family projections or even things that you thought you wanted and needed.my first realization was to stop being so harsh with myself,after seeing that everybody around me is failing(in one way or another) and accepting that failure is part of the progress and most of the times drives t to something that you needed most.
I feel u and i hope that a silly comment on yt,will actually make you see things differently :)
Don't forget that your goals will evolve and it may not even be the good ones for you. You may not give a fuck about these goals in just a year once you realized it wasn't for you even if it was fancy at the time.

This is real talk. These are the podcasts I want to listen to. People judging Rupaul rn on social media and calling him out on things that they made up (because they need someone to criticise...) aren't even aware of the real struggles in life. Ru has seen and lived through it all. He simply wants to educate young queens and help them survive in the industry. Sadly, a lot of young people today are just too fed up with their own realities which makes them too ignorant to learn and listen, instead of thinking they know better than a 57 year old black drag queen who basically founded an entire new era of drag
Before I read your comment I said something similar here...Thank you I agree with you!-He gets a lot of shade and aggression and what not..he changed the Drag community FOREVER!!!! And he is such a huge mirror where everyone is projecting his own wishes and shit into....Anyway I love Ru!!!!
I agree people are a bit tough on RuPaul, but you cannot lie her comments on trans participants in the show and the lack of genuine care she's shown to queens post-Season 4 are problematic... I think those who are part of the drag community have a right to be disappointed in the things she's said.

Ive been smoking for 10 years and I really wanna quit too, I envy people who can go thru their day with no cigarette, this talk about it tho is very inspiring and brings up really good points, you all nailed it on the head “an illusion of freedom” and when Ru basically said that it’s that moment of frustration you gotta process, instead of just using nicotine as an easy fix. It’s motivating tho that Michelle and Ru have successfully kicked the habit, so obviously it’s not impossible.

My mom had a cousin that struggled with bipolar in her early 20s. When she had her son , the cousin's mother raised him as her son. It was this big family secret. Turns out he was always suspicious but he just thought he was adopted and no one wanted to tell him. Then he finally found out that he was blood related to the family, but who he thought was his sister was his mother and who he thought was his mother was his grandmother
Burtasaurus Rex That use to be super common back in the 50’s-70’s era when young unmarried girls would get pregnant because it was so taboo. The mothers would pretend the child was theirs to save their daughter and the family from the embarrassment and judgement. I believe even Jack Nicholson had the same situation happen and it came out when he got famous that his sister was actually his mother.

Watching rupauls reaction to Vixen on the reunion show was telling. The lack of empathy compared to Aisha was profoundly revealing. His usual verbiage of being family, caring and supporting went straight out the window, when Vixen left the stage. Yes, he is a reality show host, and his mother Theresa, kind hearted disposition just got uncovered.
stephan blas if he didn’t have empathy or believe in her he wouldn’t have reacted so strongly. People fight like that for three reasons: they are afraid of something, for someone or for themselves. I think Ru is afraid she’ll never learn to rise above the drama and he knows she can. And it breaks his heart. I really respect Asia’s response too. Because she’s afraid for her as well but it’s a totally different thing.
