I could watch ink swatches all day, so beautiful. Love the troublemaker ink on this paper. I have petrichor from them and it's my favorite ink to use in my hobonichi.
I absolutely love that the ink vent calendar was intended as a cost saver 🤪🤪😀😀❤️❤️ that is exactly the type of reasoning I would use with my husband. Lovely swatches! Thank you so much!
Glad you like them! I was conscious that my subscribers would only like to see my journals and planners, but I'm glad people are enjoying the ink swatches too :)
This was such a GREAT VIDEO as I’ve been wanting to try more GREEN INKS but afraid to due to how they will behave in my planner/journals. I never see people test them in a HOBONICHI like this which is what I’d love to see more of since I use those to plan & journal in given the inks behave differently on different paper showing different properties. I’ve purchased inks thinking I’m getting one color (due to the swatch on a different paper given on the site bc I’m a visual person) and when I get it and swatched it in my hobonichi it was a completely different color! It’s amazing (sometimes lol) but it would be nice to know what you’re actually getting and to be able to see them in the actual form being used. THANK YOU so much for this video!
Thank you Blakeley! I've always so mesmerized by how fountain pen ink performs on Tomoe River paper. It's definitely my favourite paper for ink swatching - so much more shading and sheening :)
Wow, that contrast between the two papers is really striking. I too had heard the TN Lightweight inserts used TRP, although I'd noticed it's way crinklier than the Hobo paper. Perhaps the TN inserts have already moved to Sanzen TRP?
Some inks do bleed through, and some don't. I'd say more don't bleed through but are ghosting. It reacts differently depending on the type of paper you're using - here I'm using Tomoe River Paper which is fountain pen friendly
What a great selection of green inks!

Oooh! This could be it! I also remember now that the TN Lightweight paper is ever so slightly more creamy than the Hobonichi Techo paper.
Do the inks not bleed through with the large swatches?
