Birthplace of Manuel A. Roxas | Island Living Channel

The two-story hardwood stone house of then Governor of Capiz and the First President of the Third Republic of the Philippines is located at Rizal St., corner Zamora St., in Roxas City. This house that have withstood the test of time was inherited by Roxas from his parents, Gerardo Roxas, Sr., and Rosario Acuña, which they also inherited from the parents of Gerardo Roxas. Today, the house is still under the care of the relatives of Roxas and it houses old furniture and memorabilia of the Roxas family.
