I totally agree with the other comments complaining about the laptop storage being in the wrong position. It should be attached to the back, for weight distribution and above all for safety. If you make a new version in which you fix that and in which, in addition, it would be easy to put a safety lock, I will buy it.
Yep, this is a deal breaker imo. I've used bags with it both ways and having the laptop sleeve on the outside is awful. puts the heaviest thing in your bag in the worst place for weight distribution and back support.
The only thing that discourages me from clicking the buy button is the laptop sleeve in front, where it is more prone to theft and has poor weight distribution. Also I would add a little more interesting colors. Otherwise it looks like a great backpack.
I was just about to buy this bag when I realized where the laptop sleeve was. So disappointing. I'll wait for their next version when they've realized this mistake.
Putting all that weight there also puts more stress on the back. There are a lot of parts inside too. I wonder how heavy it is when completely EMPTY...
Laptop should be against the back for weight distribution. Also a water bottle pocket on both sides would have been nice, plus it looks tight and would be difficult if the bag was packed. Fix those two things and bring back that red color and I’m in.
I'd be slightly worried about my laptop getting bent while in there with the wardrobe, it looks pretty tight. I'd feel better too if it was behind the back padding so it's pressed against one fairly level surface. Being able to carry my laptop, bits and bobs and a few days of clothes would be awesome.
Thought my search was over and had found the perfect back pack... until I saw where the laptop was stored. Please design one with the laptop attached to the back and i'll buy three for the family!
Hi, 1- When using the kangaroo pocket on the bottom, does the backpack still fit most cabin luggage size requirements ? 2- Does it still fit when using the front accessories ?
I have this bag and it is really good. But when the wardrobe is in, it is impossible to fit a laptop in too, which means you have to leave it behind or carry it separately
Too bad the laptop is to be stored in the front. I was ready to purchase but will wait until they release the next urban/travel backpack that will hopefully solve this issue. Also - hate that you have to purchase the wardrobe separately at a really high price!
This bag is great but it's really heavy. So if you're a woman like me, I would be mindful of that. A lot of people are talking about the laptop compartment position but I actually love that it's at the front. It's great for international travel because even if the bag is PACKED it's still pretty easy to take out your laptop and put it back in without having to squeeze it in.
I have the original backpack , I was going to purchase this one but the laptop area leaves my machine vulnerable, I don’t understand why you didn’t keep the original design
I would definitely not recommend their products. I ordered the hive backpack month ago and have not received it yet. I was moving out my place (from France to Czech Republic) and was hopping to use the hive as a luggage for my flight, so I planned to have 2 extra weeks after the expected delivery date to make sure. After that, I asked to change the delivery place, but they replied that it's not possible, it will have to go to France, be returned to the warehouse and then it is possible to change the delevry date (which is absolute non sense considering the order is not even shipped yet). All I got from the support was an automatic answer that the "fraud detection system has flagged my item", but I received the same message from many different channels for different orders so it's really just lies. I asked to get refunded my 300 euros but no answers at all. Would you mind do something tropicfeel? TL;DR: didn't receive my order, no news from support, I got charged, run away.
I have the backpack and use it in combination of the camera cube, honestly if you have your camera gear the laptop sleve is not a deal breaker in therms of weight distribution
I just got mine. Its way smaller than advertised. Without the Gadgets it feels naked. The hip belt is under my chest applying pressure onto my stomach.
Sorry guys, no matter how good the other features are, the laptop pouch being at the front is an absolute dealbreaker. It should be against your back, nice and safe and keeping the weight close to your body and preferably in a different pouch to the large compartment.
Hi Tropicfeel, You have a great sales and marketing team pumping your products but your support team is non-existence. I purchased your Jungle shoes and waited a year to finally having to cancel as I couldn’t wait any longer. Then I got in on the NS40 and Geyser pre-orders and just asking for delivery timelines for a week with no responses. Seriously? Your company can’t only be made up of designers, and sales and marketing teams right?
i also preordered the same two items. they responded to me in a day. In regards to the Geyser, they said they're starting shipping in August. As for the NS40s, mine seems to have shipped and is currently in delivery, so I'm guessing yours probably shipped too?
@@bbkintanar, ordered Jungle shoes Jan 29th, 2021. July passed by, never came. Asked for refund and they asked me to wait until October and in December, I was finally able to get a refund. Delivery commitment was July 2021. Ordered Geyser end of October 2021 and still waiting on this. Delivery commitment was June 2022. Ordered NS40 in January this year and got email that shipping is slated to come soon. Delivery commitment was June 2022. Basically Tropicfeel has to sort out their supply chain issue and after sale service. No way to sugar coat this. Probably my last time I buy from them. Too many competition and options out there to wait 1yr+ from payment on footwear and clothing. If other retailers (online and offline) can solve for it, then Tropicfeel should not have excuses to not execute given that these are not their first time products. It reminds me of Boundary Supply, great design and products and premium prices. But always 1-2yrs late to deliver and pissing off all the existing and new customers. Now there’s plenty of options out there.
It would've been better to have attachment loops for a proper hip strap instead of the bum bag system. Shell pack has a weird hip strap that isn't very comfortable and can't be removed. Make your life easier Tropicfeel and add simple attachments loops and not put these half-assed solutions out there 🤨 also laptop compartment should be against your back for a better weight distribution. Simple things done wrong
What’s it missing? Proper handles, those are just straps, will be very uncomfortable and also a handle on both sides, a second water bottle pocket, laptop on the wrong side, can’t add a trolley system to put it in wheels, boring colours I am in the market for a new back but at the probably £200+ price point I will not be buying it
@@Igor-ys2ky Yeah i have The extra shoe compartiment of tropic feel seems quite nice but i have 2 Cabin Zero military 28L and 44l... There is a 36L model' if you want...and i have found the hedgren hmid07 keyed backpack (clamshell design and slightly expendable) which looks really nice but is a bit small 11-20 liters only if you can travel light
I totally agree with the other comments complaining about the laptop storage being in the wrong position.

Odd that the laptop sleeve is in the unprotected front versus being in the back where it's less likely to take damage.
Good question...
Yep, this is a deal breaker imo. I've used bags with it both ways and having the laptop sleeve on the outside is awful. puts the heaviest thing in your bag in the worst place for weight distribution and back support.
This was exactly my hesitation. The heavy laptop should be against the back where it will also be safest.
It's probably the only thing blocks me to buy it 😩😞
I was about to buy this bag until I saw this. The laptop being in the front is 100% a deal breaker.
The only thing that discourages me from clicking the buy button is the laptop sleeve in front, where it is more prone to theft and has poor weight distribution. Also I would add a little more interesting colors. Otherwise it looks like a great backpack.

For such an expensive bag, that's a pretty ridiculous oversight.

Just the laptop sleeve fix would sell me.

I wish this was cheaper, or atleast with the additional gear included. Otherwise, this pack is perfect. Damn!
Thought my search was over and had found the perfect back pack... until I saw where the laptop was stored. Please design one with the laptop attached to the back and i'll buy three for the family!
The backpack is super cool, but how can I protect my 2k€ MacBook from theft?
From there seems super easy to just open it from behind and steal.
Agreed. Plus the weight distribution should have the laptop against the back.
Are the compression bag waterproof too, considering its on the secured on the outside spiderweb system?
This looks amazing and useful but Im worried about the safety of my photography gear and laptop which I would most likely be using this for
I like it but it seems like additional bags that clip on seem very easy to steal
Got mine today, super happy with it!

Baffled by the laptop sleeve being in front, both for bad weight distribution and less protection. It's so unfortunate.

is he saying Mold Green? I cant wait for these to ship
love the detachable front ❤ reminds me of the monos backpack which i love!
Can i put the camera cube and wardrobe in at the same? Because that would be dope
the background music sounded like a cat was meowing the entire time
Are all the bags shown here included or is it just the backpack and the rest must be purchased?
I wanted this instead of the Shell backpack
I wish you guys had a way to send to Mexico 😢 I really want one 😭
