It's absolutely surreal to see all those colourful 2D levels from my childhood be transformed into 3D in the Doom engine! Thank you so much for making this mod!
You're very welcome. I wanted this to happen when I was 13, 19 years ago. One day, a few years back, I jumped to the idea and started. Music is my main passion but Jazz Jackrabbit Doom needed to happen. Especially after so long of no games. Doom and Jazz Jackrabbit were the games I played the most. They definitely make a great crossover.
@@BassSlapper89 Very true. Jazz Jackrabbit 3 was developed in late 90s, which would be the first 3D JJ game, and at that time graphics were more chunky without many curves. So this is almost like an alternate timeline where they did release 3D JJ in the 90s.
@@_Killkor what I am aiming for as goal. I agree. I was hyped for Jazz 3D at the time. When I found out they stopped working on the game, that is when I decided to make a mod. I was young and clueless at the time, so I put the idea on the back burner. 3 years ago, I started learning everything on the spot, released a few Jazz Jackrabbit mods for Doom 2 that weren't quite good looking in my eyes. This is the 3rd time working on the mod to make it better. Now I feel happy with the progress.
Idk if you know, but there are downloads of a 3 map demo we released in June. Plus, older full versions of the mod. To let you know, they don't have all the maps, but it definitely is a taste for what is to come. You can check on moddb.com for the downloads.
Hello there! UA-cam saw fit to remove the comment you left on my video, for some reason, but I found you again. I'm looking forward to seeing how this mod progresses!
In a way. They usually give me pointers and advice. The majority of team help out. Mainly with enemy sprite rotations. Certain scripts that I am not familiar with. To add more spice to a map after I am finished. Stuff like that. Very thankful for everyone and they're supported.
I like the moody lighting, goes well with the funkiness of that level.

@@BassSlapper89 Fantastic! Hoping to see how it goes.
I'm wondering if Jazz2online community is helping you in some way :)
