- Cherry blossom season in Korea is short but glorious. It’s a big part of early spring travel plans for Koreans, so you must plan and book to visit top destinations famous for cherry blossoms. Busan is one safer option as it is a big cherry blossom destination, but few people from Seoul will go there for the cherry blossoms. They usually end up in Jinhae, Hadong, or Gyeongju.
It’s always fun to be in Busan. I really love living in Seoul, but Busan hits differently. It’s so different from Seoul, and I feel that even people living in Busan are slightly different. Everything looks slower, friendlier, and more relaxed in Busan. And the cherry blossoms turn the place into a true fairytale.
One of the best spots to experience cherry blossoms in Busan is Dalmaji/Moontan Road. What I like about it is that the road goes up a hill by the seaside so that you can enjoy fantastic views of Heundae Beach, the sea, and cherry blossoms simultaneously. The road is full of exciting coffee shops and restaurants, some of them with breathtaking views of the sea and the cherry blossom road. Let’s walk around and explore; it’s magical.

Lovely video, Chris, I was there last year a little bit after the cherry blossom peak and I loved the city… really the best city I visited in Korea
Busan is really amazing, its spread out so sometimes its difficult to find places, but once you learn to get around, it's amazing.
