In a fight that lived up to its potential, Davis and Barrios combined to put on an unforgettable main event in front of a sold-out crowd of 16,570. After a slow opening four rounds in which Davis landed just 11 punches, the fight produced fireworks beginning in the fifth round. In the eighth round, “Tank” sent “El Azteca” to the canvas for both the first and second times of his career. First, Davis connected on a sweeping right hook that sent the former champion to the canvas. Moments later, a straight left hand by Davis dropped Barrios again. Barrios didn't complain about the stoppage, it could've kept going honestly buttt Barrios would've touched the compass, he took a big punch and dropped his entire composure
Tank gave those rounds away because he didn't respect Barrios' power. He was walking through Barrios' "scoring" shots to land his power shots.

I am just seeing this fight for the first time but I noticed a few things: Barrios fought a great fight and was aggressive and landed his share of great punches and flurries on his smaller opponent BUT Davis is next-level. He can take a punch, if he has to, but his ability to counter-punch, defend, and deliver knockout punches with surgical precision is amazing. Great fight. Too bad I missed it.
Not any people mention Tank has a good chin, the little shit is tough apart from his other boxing abilities.
