Just heard of his passing. I remember his show "The Lively Ones", in the 1962 Ford Convertible. Vic Damone was one of the best.

Classy, and so easy. No crazy stuff. Now that's singing. I'm guessing he was about 67 or so. Beautiful. Bless you Mr. Damone!

Fun fact that famous singer Vic Damone was Bruce Lee's first celebrity student back in 1968

What a great soft and smooth speaking voice too. I bet he charmed his way into many a woman's heart.

So sad to learn of the death of Mr. Damone on 11 Feb. 2018. Do yourself a favor and listen to his discography. Many "sad" ballands, but beautifully performed by VD.

I think his voice aged the best out of any singer from that era. Phenomenal.

Yes, Vic Damone was a superstar among the great vocalists of the 20th Century & The Great American Songbook from roughly the Mid-20s to Mid-60s 'unlikely to ever be duplicated again

Vic Damone got out of the game before he lost his mojo. One of the best set of pipes in the business.

Damone is now in his mid 80s and he looks much the same as he did here, close to 20 years ago. He does perform selectively in concert; I had the pleasure of seeing him during his last appearance at Kravis center in Palm Beach, Florida in 2011and he looked and sounded great. He maintained his vocal strength and his ability to sustain notes. He was extremely fond of Sinatra and performed many of the Sinatra songs with the original Riddle arrangements. Similarly, Bennett is spectacular in concert.

Bennett does not compare to Vic Damone.

America has produced some of the greatest popular singers of all time - some of them are still performing today (2012) - Johnny Matthis, Tony Bennett, Frankie Valli, Jack Jones... Andy Williams is virtually retired now. Vic Damone was semi-retired when this clip was made in 1995, but he still performs very occasionally. In my opinion, Damone was the greatest of them all - a better singer than Dean Martin or Sinatra... The only young singers we have to touch him are Buble and Aiken.

So cool! Thx for posting! Love to hear one of the masters like Vic Damone....(but that Kathie Lee..always yapping her mouth off, trying to remind everyone she thinks she can sing too...notice how Regis is polite, when he's got chops to sink Gifford's QE2~) Anyways....great to see, thanks again! More please!!

Vic Damore do you remember Perry Como you talk to him before you came singer do you remember where you met him at at the elevator you were working there and you ask him for he's opinion and he told you to go have singing classes then you will make it but he recommend you to somebody at your age it shows in this video he still stronger and he sings beautifully and there's nobody compared to Perry Como you a nice guy but when you got this old I don't like you see me I'm sorry

I had so wanted to see him and Diahann Carroll grow old together! They once were quite a team. I was optimistic that the marriage would hold since they had known each other long before getting hitched.

Yeah, she acted so goody two shoes and bragging about her son coty (or whatever his name was) all the time. All her family stuff sucked. . No wonder Frank couldn't take it anymore.
