The powdered ingredients are usually lightly spritzed with water, then mixed together, then spritzed again until it has the consistency of wet snow, to be able to pack the ingredients together- like making snowballs. After removing the bombs from the mold, they need to dry out before using them. Too much spritzing at a time will activate the fizzing too soon and ruin the bath bomb.
Good tips! I definitely should have let them dry. I was too excited and didn't think about doing that!
Your nails match perfectly! Lol
I have that !!!
It seems everyone is having the same issues with the bath bombs.
I did another and learned to add a bit more liquid and pack them down as you fill the mold...but dont over pack them. Seemed to make a huge difference.
Quick tip I learned for the bath bombs. I added a dropper full of the body oil from my body scrubs to each set of packets and they formed n held perfect. I was able to make exactly 5 bath bombs out of each of my sets. Ur only supposed to get 2 out of each set of packets so 4 total but u can get 5. But adding the body oil was a game changer. I also didn't let mine set for an hr. Maybe 5 mins tops n carefully removed from the little molds. I'm going to coat mine in resin so I can keep em displayed as well. Luv these but the scrubs r my favorite. Those jars!!!!
Was it hard to set them with resin? I had thought about doing that but felt like that would be difficult and messy. The other batch of bath bombs I made, I added 18 instead of 16 drops and that seemed to really make a difference.
@@KitchenBricks no I just gently brushed it on with one of my turkey/ham basters. Then once that was on I poured a bit on my mat n gently rolled em one more time in it n cured. I cured it after I brushed on the first thin layer so it wasn't fragile when I rolled it. U could brush on the 2nd coat as well I just wanted it to be even n not have any brush marks. But it was easy not messy at all.
@@callielou2 Thanks, I think I will try that with my next set. I got a lot of duplicates and I'm hoping to find more of the bath bombs.
@@KitchenBricks well I hope I find em all!! I'm obsessed with these n absolutely can't wait for the mixed drinks this summer!
