I did fine for years using the Krups grinder. It definitely didn't last me as long as others got out of theirs and the replacement I bought had enough annoyances that I started to look for a burr grinder. I haven't been lucky with any pour-over techniques, and my (previously recommended Best Buy) Bonavita drip machine made a great cup of coffee, but I gotta say that even out of that hands-off brewing method I noticed a HUGE difference compared to the blade grinder. That being said, I was very happy with the Krups. It's just that the burr grinder makes it so much easier when you need to grinder coarser or finer. But that's just me.
Your use of the panini press reminds me of the Express Redi-Set-Go infomercial from when I was a kid. A cross-over between that product and gear heads would honestly be life changing.

I did not know Krups was still an active brand. They always made excellent small appliances. I have had a Krups coffee maker and a grinder for 19 years and still going strong!
I have blade grinder for spices that is pretty easy to clean, and burr grinder for coffee that I got at Aldi a few years ago for under $20. I works like a charm and is so easy to clean. About not having grill marks on your sandwich, to me that just means all the bread was toasted, not just the bread that had good contact with the raised surface that makes the lines. I have two mini waffle makers by Dash, and they are holding up just fine, and make a good waffle. I mostly use them for savory waffles, like with cheese and tuna.
I have a vintage cast iron coffee grinder I also use for grinding pepper. (After cleaning.) i adjust the grind with a screw on top of the handle. I love it for both. I use an old fashioned stove top percolator so I want a coarser grind. I can also adjust the grind on my pepper from coarse to fine. I paid less than $25 for mine too. Sometimes knew isn’t necessarily better.
I think this is true, America is one of the last countries to still use natural corks. Even synthetic corks are being used less because they just end up in landfills. The newer two piece twist off lids work just as well.
I have the krups grinder. I don't drink coffee, but others in the house do. I use it for spice grinding. To switch between coffee and spice, wipe it out and then give pieces of bread a spin. The bread picks up coffee or spice bits. My spice doesn't taste like coffee. Their coffee doesn't taste spicy.
Something to think about with portable gas stoves: You shouldn't use them in confined spaces and/or indoors. I have a two burner Coleman camping stove I'd never use indoors because of fumes and Carbon Monoxide. And just about all gas stoves are going to have this problem. With electric, the only fumes you really need to worry about are the ones when you burn your food.
I grew up using a regular skillet (not cast iron) to make grilled cheese sandwiches, etc. - we just flipped the sandwich over to toast/grill the other side! Works like a charm! Nothing special here!
Thanks fr the reviews, however I must note that I've had 2 Secura wine openers, where the battery fails after 4-5 months. The vendor was good in sending a repalcement, but when we had the same issue with the replacement, we went high end.
Re: blade grinders for coffee, I think it's also important to specify hat they are fine for auto drip machine. Some brewing methods require uniform ground size to produce good coffee. In addition, the roast level of the beans should also be specified, as the hardness of the beans depends on the roast
My potable burner is better than that pos! It is a cast iron top portable burner that comes in single and double and is identical to a regular stove top version ! Used these for years! I love it!!!
There’s an argument for electric bottle openers for those with arthritis or limited grip strength. For everyone else that drinks wine, learn how to use a waiter’s corkscrew and avoid buying a gadget that has a battery that can’t be replaced and will go to the landfill in a couple of years. ATK even has a video on using the corkscrew.
Should be said for coffee grinders, the Mahlkonig EK43, a $3000 grinder (if you can find it in stock), was the single equipment that arguably started the entire third wave coffee movement today. That grinder was originally designed as not a coffee grinder, but a spice grinder. I understand both sides of the argument. Coffee nerds will know that any blade grinder is inherently going to be trash by its very design, and simply doesn't make sense when we have Kingrinder units today that cost only around $50 for quite decent performance. But we have to realize that for the viewers of this video, people that couldn't be arsed to not even spend $25 for a grinder is absolutely not going to spend close to even $15 for a halfway decent 12oz bag of coffee. For someone that would actually benefit from a blade grinder, the competition/alternative is pretty much just Folgers instant. It seems inconceivable for us coffee nerds, but even a blade grinder with nitro-preserved bag of high volume whole beans will be a night and day difference for most people.
My girlfriend bought a dash mini waffle maker, and I wasn’t fond of the idea of a mini waffle maker, but it has been an absolute workhorse for about 5 years and has no sign of wear

@@wild-radio7373I have used my Duxtop Induction cooktop for years. It can hold a heavy pot of stew. It's sold on Amazon with different model options. I have the $83 one.
I have an induction burner and love it, but it hardly fits in the “great kitchen gadgets under $25” category. And many folks on a tight budget may not already own induction compatible cookware.
Defeats the under $25 subject, now doesn't it?
Instead of getting a bulky panini press, I bought a cast iron sandwich press with grill mark textures which takes up less space in my kitchen.
Ted The Krups coffee grinder is the best. While I hold the button down I hold the grinder with both hands and shake. It's great.
Dash makes a model with removable plates so the same cheap griddle can do waffles in different shapes, stuffed waffles, pancakes, panini, etc.
George Foreman grill has a similar model.
I did not know Krups was still an active brand. They always made excellent small appliances. I have had a Krups coffee maker and a grinder for 19 years and still going strong!
Hannah killin it solo! a true pro
@1:24 Just spend the extra $$ for an induction burner which is better than both gas and electric
If going that route, be prepared to also purchase induction compatible pots/pans if what you already own isn’t.
I love my Krupps coffee grinders. Never has a coffee bean been seen in one though. 😂 1 I use for spices and the 2nd one is used for cinnamon.
I am going to manually de-cork my wine with ye aulde corkscrew.
Barbarian!
We want a food dehydrator episode!
If a gas stove puts off carbon monoxide, you have a bad stove. Gas stoves have been used indoors for decades without anything major happening.
Hannah is back!
I grew up using a regular skillet (not cast iron) to make grilled cheese sandwiches, etc. - we just flipped the sandwich over to toast/grill the other side! Works like a charm! Nothing special here!
Love this! Please more of these videos
Thanks fr the reviews, however I must note that I've had 2 Secura wine openers, where the battery fails after 4-5 months. The vendor was good in sending a repalcement, but when we had the same issue with the replacement, we went high end.
I have an egg cooker it works perfect from Amazon
ATK is the BEST!
Re: blade grinders for coffee, I think it's also important to specify hat they are fine for auto drip machine. Some brewing methods require uniform ground size to produce good coffee. In addition, the roast level of the beans should also be specified, as the hardness of the beans depends on the roast
I have 2 mini grinders. 1 for coffee and 1 for spices. Got them at dollar general or family dollar. $5-$10ea.
I got a mini slow cooker just for lil smokies and bbq sauce during football season and I’m not overly precious about gadgets.
i use my geriatric foreman grill as a 'panini press'. I don't eat pancakes. Sandwiches, burritos, and defrosted pizza slices are great with it.
George Foreman has a geriatric model now?

Hannah's back!
A long time ago I had a small crockpot but on low it was too hot to keep dips warm- they burned...hope new ones are better.thank you
My potable burner is better than that pos!
You guys are the best!
My girlfriend bought a dash mini waffle maker, and I wasn’t fond of the idea of a mini waffle maker, but it has been an absolute workhorse for about 5 years and has no sign of wear
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!
Portable single burners are great from a traditional steel gooseneck kettle in a coffee corner.
Welcome back hannah
Krups Coffee grinder is a good recommendation. Looking for something to replace my Hamilton Beach grinder for all the reasons Hannah to look out for. Thanks.
Great review 👏🏾 👌🏾 👍🏾
I'm more of a rice cooker person than a slow cooker person these days, honestly.
Stella cut oats are great cooked on n a rice cooker. Also mini rice cookers are great.
I most definitely want mini slow cooker and the panini press...
Blade grinder is only appropriate for spices. You get very inconsistent results when grinding coffee beans.
You should remove the part of the extension cord. That is a liability you do not want. Heavy Duty is one thing, correct amperage cord is another.
THIS! ⬆
Great video and presentation!
that portable electric is cool. I wish induction were that small and portable.
Great video.
I just can’t beat a good double pull corkscrew.
Great information 😺❤❤❤ thanks 👍
