I sure ĥope Ford listens! Only reason I don't upgrade my S550 is because there were rumors of the S650 having AWD and in the end it was a half baked S550. At least if they had put in the AWD system I would have ran to the dealership and bought one. I just want to say, we need something to rival a Nissan GTR

AWD would definitely help with traction issues on unprepped surfaces. Ford engineers need to start working on this if they aren't already. Just have an electric motor to power the front wheels.

I’m shocked no one has tried two eliminator electric motors up front on a mustang.
I am pretty sure it's coming soon! with cars being so expensive Garage Engineers are finding us new ways to enjoy cars!
over 450/500 HP you need an AWD unless you're just a roll racer. Most of these cars are just used around town where the AWD always wins. No prep stop lights
I watched it and loved what he did.. Can you imagine a legit 1000 HP AWD mustang? Spinning the wheel's is usually the Biggest weakness of any high power car.. Thats why a lot of people love the GTR's and the way they get the power down. Then again thats a whole other level of money too. A built GTR tran's is over 50K in some cases, So just remember as the power changes so does the need for a built tran's.. Oh and I watch RacerX too and I am glad he did those vid's to show it's not really an all the time 2 sec zero to 60 car like dodge says. prepped on the track yeah it is. Out on the street it's a different story..

Surprised Dodge didnt do a RT awd or Hellcat because they have the awd GT v6.
Dodge did have an awd Charger RT V8. I believe 2014 was the last year because they didn't sell well.

There's an awd Corvette in Germany with giant twin snails that was terrorizing things for a while. Ford listens to their customers more than general motors... so they may build an awd mustang 🤔 i hope

I saw this dude's vid about a week ago... I have been waiting for this. AWD with electric front drive motors would be the ticket. Been questioning for years why Ford never gave a FWD version for the non-performance masses... like an ecoboost in FWD...

I seen that video a few weeks ago and made the argument that while it does take a step away from the traditional pony car/muscle car heritage it would be awesome to have a must gt or gt500/350 that didn't have to be parked during bad weather when the snow and rain comes just toss some all terrains on it not to mention the drag strip time increase

An awd mustang GT would have to start at 45k otherwise forget it, and its already near 4k lbs. Put the mustabg on a diet and sticky tires and suspension work.

Dodge offered an AWD Hemi Charger and Challenger upto I believe 2015. Sales were low because customers like the rear wheel drive performance version better so the AWD versions didn't sell. I also continue to read about the higher Mustang pricing postings. I don't see adding approximately $2000 to the MSRP something people will buy similar to the Dodge products. Many said they wanted a manual transmission in the Mustang, yet only 27% sold have manual transmission creating the end of the manual EcoBoost. Adding more weight with a higher price with the current high interest rates doesn't work. The other issue is a slightly lower mpg. Ford's pushing the envelope by still offering the New Gen 4 Coyote but they can't afford to lose Mpg. If the Dark Horse GTD Supercar had Awd. Then there's a possibility, but from what I've researched. That's not going to happen.
Regarding RacerX and his Demon 170. First the car basically rattled the tires meaning not enough wheel speed at launch. Then with lower tire pressure and a reprepped track. The car pulled the front wheels meaning it had traction. I think the car's weight and chassis setup is the issue. It's basically a drag car approved for the street. It seems most owners are running 9s. It will take time to learn how to set the car up and launch it. I recently watched a video on Ford enthusiast REVan Evans U-Tube channel from 3 years ago. With no weight reduction like seats removed, etc.. I watched a daily driver GT500 run 9.80 with a great launch even with a headwind. Speaking of Drag cars. Ask your connection at Ford about the NHRA Dark Horse X-Class Mustang which is replacing the Cobra Jet.

I would think its just like any other car that didn't come with awd that people converted. Nissan 240sx, Honda civic, Oldsmobile cuttlass, etc. Just find another car that the brand makes that comes in awd and take everything. Just get the stuff from a ford explorer st

If all of the world’s fastest hyper cars are all wheel drive hybrids, why not get behind them for Ford Mustangs? If Koenisegg being one of the most popular all wheel drive hybrid hyper cars, why not Ford Mustangs, Ford GTs, F-Series, etc. be all wheel drive and hybrid? An all wheel drive hybrid Mustang would be a start of something special.

In a straight line sure AWD. But for track and handling purposes RWD is king. There’s a reason why F1 cars aren’t AWD and they will smoke anything you name around the track

I SEE WHERE THAT SYSTEM WOULD FIT UNDER A MUSTANG REASONABLY WELL. REMEMBER PEOPLE FORD OWNED JAG FOR AN AWFUL LONG TIME AND HAVE BEEN USING FORD COMPONENTS FOR A LONG TIME NOW.
