What a trail of broken hearts he left behind! I was 13 1/2 and I felt what mourning someone was like for the first time. I know it was like a puppy love, but it felt so real! I'm so glad that I can still see images and film .
I still miss him and think about him every New Years! Some things you just don't get over!

A beautiful vid for a beautiful man, I can't believe it is 40 years, he is certainly someone special and the fact that he has brought so many people together from all over the world is incredible, he will always have a special place in my heart, so thank you for doing this.
My favourite programme and always liked him the best and the horses....one of the best riders ever! so very very sad he's not still with us.....XX

I still remember crying. I was 15.
I remember being really shocked and very dad when I heard he died. I ;oved that show. It died without him. Very sad for him to go like he did. I think I was just about to turn 18 on Jan 1st.
He made a great cowboy. He was real at the part.
The first tv show watched when I was twoyears old...

I remember him from Gidget and Alias Smith & Jones. He committed suicide and they're placed him the second yr of the show. It died, Duel made the show a hit, and it died with him.😢

Pete has been gone 40 years now....that is more years than he lived on this earth. For him to still hold a special place in so many hearts, speaks wonders for his talent. And he is still capturing hearts today. What a wonderful legacy he has left us with! RIP Pete....
You all can think I'm crazy. Maybe I am. Anyway the night he died I dreamed he got shot. I was very young. My mom found the sto in the paper. I STILL miss him
