I'd like to know how to tame the anenome from over growing. I just planted two under a window in my front garden and I'd like to keep them contained

Once they are established and happy they can be very vigorous . I would just prune them to the size you want and dig up any runners and pot them up . They must love the position . You could always consider moving them to a different position where they can happily spread out in the autumn or spring if they are over vigorous for the position or planting a smaller less vigorous variety

Let me see if I've understood correctly, as long as a plant is flowering, you deadhead the umbrellas that stick up so that that individual stem might produce more flowers and when the whole plant is done flowering for the year, you take out the flower stems all the way down to the base of the plant, right?? An answer would be much appreciated!♥

Yes that’s what we do although today I did take a lot of old flower stems off to try and stimulate some late growth

@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 thank you for your response. It is not the drought but the stems with the flowers grow simply to tall 🥹

@@anitamarskampAccording to some research it says in order to prevent the flowers from going to the ground is to move the plant to more sun
