  • The next generation of the Reid family is to arrive next spring. I'm moving my office and studio to this new building, once we install electricity and internet service. We will also insulate the building, install finished walls and install a window-mounted air conditioner/heater.

    I hate to be critical, but the lack of a good solid foundation is not right for such a substantial shed. Concrete blocks on grass will naturally have some differential settlement along with skewed openings, stuck doors and the like. Best to have settled those blocks in a bed of concrete.

      Concrete or gravel for drainage.

    Looks great, I am thinking about getting the same shed with a few upgrades, base price with paint is $5,555 but with my upgrades which are better doors, vents, shutters ,bigger eaves , the price is close to 10 grand ! Am I getting overcharged ?

    • @wbreid
      @wbreid  5 років тому +1

      Gary: Thanks for your comment. I'm very happy with my Tuff Shed. I don't believe it has settled. I only issue I have is that a small amount of rain can leak in around the bottom of the door frame, usually during a hard, wind-driven rain. I've stopped most of it by adding more caulk.Initially I had leaks around two of the windows, but that was because they were not caulked property. The contractor returned promptly and re-caulked them.

    So I have one getting ready to be built in a couple weeks by tuff shed. So you didn't have to level the ground? I'm putting mine on the grass as well but was concerned if it was level enough. Looks level to me. So they'll use blocks if needed to level it?
