A North Park landmark is Sterns Gym, just south of University on Granada. It is an old school gym, been there since 1946. Not sure of the status with the current covid restrictions. Trained there when I was playing football back in the 70's, everything was free weights then, no machine weights.

@@Jaycation Hi JJ. I thought it was good. Service was excellent. Everything is a la carte. So purchased fries and drinks separately. A large fry order can feed 4 people I realized after we ordered but were delish. I ordered the lobster roll and felt it was okay. I have had lobster rolls that were a bit more robust, especially for the price. My hubby ordered the chicken parm and it was filled with lots of chicken. You just may need to ask for a side of marina for dipping. If I were to rate on a scale of 1-5 Cali Burritos 😉 I would give the lobster roll 2 Cali Burritos, chicken parm sandwich 3 Cali Burritos, and the fries 4 Cali Burritos with an overall score of 3 Cali Burritos...hahaha
I dont know if they stopped because of the pandemic or not, but there was a thing called 30th on 30th. All the bars, restaurants, etc on 30th and surrounding streets would offer specials on the 30th of each month. Great opportunity for a restaurant crawl.
