Ser Eryk leaving King's Landing and finding Rhaenyra and pledging himself to her Queensguard reminded me of Ser Barristan leaving King's Landing and finding Daenerys in Astapor and pledging himself to her Queensguard.
The difference is had Baristan not been illegally dismissed from Joffrey’s guard I don’t think he’d have sought out Daenerys. He’d have remained loyal to the person who sat the throne. In contrast with the twins who each made an actual choice.
The dragon Daemon was with in that cave was Vermithor. It used to be Jaehaerys Targaryen's dragon. The old king we see in ep 1 at Harrenhal who declared Viserys as his heir. Vermithor is also known as Bronze Fury. A badass dragon of Jaehaerys.

23:44 omg you reacted exactly the way I did when I saw this scene the first time 😭😭😭 Vhagar was so mad at his mere presence, Idk why Luke didn’t immediately do a u-turn “sorry mum, the baratheons weren’t home” 💀
Dragons can't be tamed, only negotiated with. When a dragon gets that blood lust going, the only thing you can do is hold on, because there's no way you're going to stop it from doing whatever it wants. That's why Aemond looks horrified after the killing because, while he wanted to scare the kid, he knew what would happen if he actually killed him. That's why he was telling the dragon no, but Vhagar wasn't listening. She was in kill mode.
I like how both Rhaenyra and Alycent tried to slow down their side, in vain... And the dead of Lucerys is almost an accident... It's like the path to war is almost an inevitability, rather than the wish of a particular person.
Even the writer said it wasn’t a accident lol he literally chased him and wanted to cut a eye out and you think that would be fine? Way different circumstances than when aemond lost his eye. Alicent like to play like she slowing things down but she also been holding information that Otto been trying to get Aegon to be king for a long time. Also the page was sent to manipulate rhaenyra obviously lol and dumb writers made it work a little
Difference is Rheanyra had control over her people but Alicent has no control over hers, everyone on her side sees her as a tool Otto, Larys and Aegon the Usurper in season 2 she will have less power then she had under Viserys I.
For me Luce's death is on the same level of intensity and importance as Ned's execution and the red wedding except for one thing. This is the first time in this lore/story when we knew exactly what was coming. But still it's so shocking and frustrating. You just sit helplessly and watch this chase while the boy is getting closer to his death with every second. So heartbreaking...
I would agree for the most part, but I think they are different regarding the fact Ned was basically the protagonist of the first season. Although GOT didn't have a certain one specific main character for the rest of the 7 seasons, for the 1st season it was Ned, in my opinion. Whereas Lucerys was definitely not a protagonist, but he was the son of one.
@@laidamaria_ yeah, you are right. But I'm not talking about "killing main character". It's about impact it had on me. I mean, that last picture of Vhagar flying out from the clouds with open jaws still haunts me.

I love the scene where Daemon chokes Rhaenyra out of pure anger that Viserys never truly saw him as heir and when he lets her go Rhaenyra just fucking smirks at him like “oh, you didn’t know? lol 🤭” I kinda love her 🤣🤣🤣
Rhaeynera is the only one who knows daemon best and can keep him under control which is why I don’t understand why visery’s didn’t keep daemon as heir and marry him to rhaeynera or the opposite. It has been established many times and in front of many people that rhaenerya can handle him to the best of her ability even otto was worried when she went to confront daemon on dragonstone about her brothers dragon egg. Yes daemon will be daemon but with rhaenyera at his side to reign him in they could’ve ruled the world.
@@Mcherri Daemon being the cunt that he is, would end entire houses because of minor inconveniences, viserys' knows this. Rhaenyra absolutely cannot control daemon, she can survive him, but not control him
The dragon to whom Daemon is singing is Vermithor, called "The Bronze Fury," who was the mount of Old King Jaehaerys. (Vermithor's mate Silverwing was the mount of Jaehaerys's wife Good Queen Alyssane.) Vermithor is a few years younger than Dreamfyre, the dragon of Jaehaerys's older sister Rhaena who now belongs to Queen Helaena, but Vermithor is larger and more powerful. The only living dragons bigger than Vermithor are Vhagar and probably The Cannibal. (The Cannibal is a wild dragon that no one has ever been able to tame. It has eaten everyone who tried. It prefers to eat young dragons. The smallfolk claim it has been on Dragonstone since before the Targaryens arrived, making it older and possibly larger than even Balerion, although Maesters doubt that claim.) At this point Vermithor is 96 years old, which is about the perfect age for fighting wars. He is almost as powerful as Vhagar but much faster, as Vhagar is old enough to start slowing down. The dragon keepers also noted that Vermithor was exceptionally well trained, well behaved, and more comfortable around unfamiliar humans than are most dragons. His house was founded by Orys Baratheon, a dark-haired bastard of Lord Aerion Targaryen. Aerion's only legitimate son (with his wife Velaena Velaryon) was Aegon the Conqueror, Ory's best friend. Lord Borros also has Velaryon blood through his grandmother, Alyssa Velaryon, the widow of King Aenys and mother of Jaehaerys. Alyssa died giving birth to his aunt Jocelyn, who was the mother of Rhaenys the Queen who Never Was. Lord Borros's close blood ties should make him a natural ally of the Blacks, but also means he is the only Lord Paramount in the Seven Kingdoms who is Blood of the Dragon and should be capable of claiming a beast of his own.
If I were Rhaenyra I think I would have told Lucerys to tell Borros Baratheon that while he cannot offer a marriage alliance, he can offer him something better. He can give new meaning to the Baratheon House Words, "Ours is the Fury." If he comes to Dragonstone to reaffirm his loyalty to the true queen, she may let him claim The Bronze Fury for himself.
When you were talking about the bonds and emotions between the rider and a dragon... Technically, neither of the dragons acted "on their own" in what happened between Aemond and Luke. You are one of the very few people who actually got it right and I am impressed. Arrax (Luke's dragon) was (like Luke himself) a young, inexperienced dragon. He felt Luke's nervousness and fear about the whole situation. When he attacked Vhagar, it was most likely because he felt Luke was panicked and so he himself acted out of panicked instincts, kind of like a cat striking back when pushed into a corner. With Aemond, I think it was a bit more complex. He also definitely harbors some dark feelings toward Luke, though his intention was most likely to just taunt him and scare him, and probably flaunt his power as well. But... what we need to remember is that Vhagar is a war machine. Literally. Vhagar was there when the three Targeryens were conquering the seven kingdoms. She has seen shit, burned cities to the ground, killed a lot. She is like a battle hardened warrior with a bit of dementia/confusion I imagine, because of her age. Once the dragon attacked her, her instincts kicked in. She was back flying around with Visenya on her back conquering the kingdoms. I imagine back then it was kill of be killed, so those fighting instincts kicked in and Arrax and Luke were done for. Aemond lost control because Vhagar's instincts kicked in but she also acted on his hatred toward Luke, even if Aemond did not actually want to kill him. His face at the end clearly said "oh shit, I actually don't have full control over this flying nuclear weapon", basically. I think it was wonderfully done in the episode. It showed Rhaenyra and Daemon, two people with the mature, balanced, symbiotic kind of bond with their dragons, and two inexperienced kids who don't quite understand that bond or its limits who were out of their depth. Like Viserys has said: "the idea that we control the dragons is an illusion."
That dragon is Vermithor, the dragon of old King Jaehaerys I, the king we saw at the grand council (in the prologue of episode 1). Jaehaerys was Rhaenys, Daemon and Viserys I grandfather.
Well, there was also the whole Lyanna breaking her betrothal thing, albeit that was a bit more understandable, as Lyanna broke a pledge she had no part in making.
Daemon might want his first born son on the throne but he knows that Rhaenyra will be his biggest enemy if he did contest the claim. Besides, his own daughter, Baela, would be queen while his other daughter will be lady of Driftmark. So, it's awin-win situation for them. He will just have to find brides for his other two sons.
I love that you noticed the silent sisters stood back it was one of my favorite details in the episode. PS Absolutely agree with your post episode discussion
@@Tooba-K123 Totally. 'Cause Rhaenyra doesn't have an "Oscar winning" great monolog scene, 'cause Emma just gave birth to a real human, a daughter, a mother (astonishing acting) and a Queen, most of the audience can't see the performance. I am totally impressed.
@@cataclyzm3844 No good reason for that opinion. About the Dragons not listening to Lucerys and Aemond; A lot of people say that Arrax went into fight or flight mode from being hunted and attacked in self defense, which only exposed their location. Vhagar, on the other hand is an old war veteran who is used to hunting to kill, and Aemond was trying to play cat and mouse. It's like sending a hunting dog after a small animal and expecting the dog not to kill it just because you don't want it to this ONE time.
A lot of people weren’t happy with the change that Aemond “accidentally” killed Lucerys, but I was fine with it. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter whether it was on purpose or not - it still happened. No one would believe Aemond didn’t want to anyways.
Technically it wasn't changed. Fire & Blood is told from a couple third-party accountings (i.e. an unreliable narrator). Many of the details are deliberately wrong, don't make much sense, or are mysterious.
Rhenyra's look at the end was best thing in the season (at least for me). I really would want an awesome mad queen arc (Rhenyra or Alicent) that was stolen from us in GOT
True. But Rhaenyra wanting vengeance does not make her "mad". She is not acting without reason. Revenge isn't psychotic. It's driven by pain and anger.
And now our wait begins. All of us! Absolutely enjoyed your reaction and commentary. You’re spot on in your analysis of each scene and especially your assessment of Daemon.
You’re right about the emotional connection they have with the dragons, Lukes dragon responded to his fear by attacking and Aemonds responded to his anger
You're right, the dragons were feeling their riders emotions. Arrax was feeling Lucaerys's fear but since Arrax himself is a pup dragon, out of instinct and feeling his rider's fear he attacked Vhagar. Noticed how Arrax attarcked Vhagar's eye just like how Lucaerys attacked Aemond's eye in childhood. Aemond was careless in handling Vhagar, he took a big nuke for granted especially a war veteran dragon who already had battle experience. Vhagar was already feeling Aemond's rage and when Arrax attacked her, she thought its war time and went on to remind the little pup who's the boss. No matter how good of a bond riders have with their dragons, in the end they're still wild beasts who have their own instincts so careless not 'accidentally' activating them. Its just as Viserys said "The idea that we control the dragon is an illusion, there are powers men should never trival with."
Rememeber what Viserys told his daughter when he named her the heir. He told that it is an illusion that they can control a dragon! Greetings from Germany❤
Wow first time I see/saw a reactor who guessed right about rhaenyra's dragon feeling the pain of rhaenyra, other's said she was giving birth to a dragon 😂😂
probably someone else has said it already, but the whole thing with both riders losing control over their dragons is the reflexion of what Viserys said on the first episode "the idea that we control the dragons is an illusion, they're a power men should never have trifled with".
@gojoshine5961 The incident over Shipbreakers Bay was told by a maester quoting sources, none of whom were in the sky with Aemond and Lucerys, so there's nothing to "validate" as you put it. The Maesters and people on the ground would have no way of knowing if it happened that way or not, so as far as i'm concerned i'm cool with it as it backs up ASOIAF assertion that dragon's are not slaves. I thought it was fucking great idea and loved it.
@gojoshine5961 I don’t mind the detail. As the other guy mentioned silverwing refused to fly above the wall even after Alysanne tried 3 times.(which makes you wonder about the Magical properties of the wall) Plus the Area Targaryen incident where she tried claiming Balerion which is actually in fire and blood and adds cadence to what show Viserys said. Barth speculates with good reason that it was Balerion who chose the destination and that Aerae was to young and inexperienced to gain control over him. Which would imply that humans MIGHT not have as much control as they think. At the very least they have wills of their own
You’re definitely right about Daemon not caring about the throne as much as caring for his family, but also his daughter is engaged to Jacerys so his daughter will be queen as well! May soften the blow a little bit haha
Ironic that it was Aemon, the prince who seemed like he should have been king, is responsible for the negligence that began the war, rather than Aegon, the prince who became the king that everyone predicts will be a disaster.

Rhaenyra didn't offer peace to the Baratheons. What she wanted was for him to call his banners to her side and when Jace showed up with nothing to offer in return of course he spurned her offer. Aemond came with a marriage proposal that would strengthen his house for the future.
Rhaenyra should have told Lucerys that he could offer Lord Borros a dragon. The Baratheons are the only Lords Paramount who are Blood of the Dragon, as they descend from Aegon the Conqueror's dark-haired bastard half brother Orys. Also, Borros's grandmother was Alyssa Velaryon, the widow of King Aenys, mother of Old King Jaehaerys, who died giving birth to the mother of The Queen who Never Was. Rhaenyra could give new meaning to the Baratheon House words "Ours is the Fury" if she let her loyal vassal come claim The Bronze Fury, Jaehaerys's dragon Vermithor.
@@magister343She knows Boros doesn't deserve a dragon. And if the Targaryen generally marry their siblings, it is to avoid other houses to have dragons.
Vhagars dragon has also been to war which is why she turned on Aemond's control. She's used to going kill mode when shes attacked like that. And Arrax hasnt been to war so he was probably scared when vhagar started chasing him. Crazy episode I loved it
Daemon’s song is translated. It’s almost like a spell. Look up the translation. If you think about it, Dany controlled to some degree Viserion and Rhaegal.
Because Rahaenyra was heir during Jaecerys birth he has the birthright to be heir as her eldest child. It doesn’t matter if she has children with Daemon. And for all intensive purposes, Jaecerys and his brothers weren’t delegitimized. If they were, then Daemons children would be the heirs.
Also I loved the parallel between first and the last episode where both episodes end with Rhenyra staring at the camera. Except the emotions differ in both scenes.
Man this was a ride, I am so stunned at how well you pick up on character motivations (I have to wonder if you are an actor yourself, or have worked in film? From experience I've found I understand storytelling much better after training to be an actor) And you very clearly seem to care and understand the lore in this universe. I have not seen many people fully comprehend that the dragons truly feel their riders feelings. It gives so much more meaning to the chase scene, these are kids/teenagers with crazy emotions running high, and Vhaegar especially is an old, war tested beast of a dragon. She is not a toy, yet Aemond treated her like one in a sense. He clearly didn't mean to kill Luke. I'm so glad I found this channel!! It's so refreshing to watch somebody who really sees the complexity of this story and doesn't get sucked into the team green/team black mentality that 99% of people seem to buy into. George writes grey characters with light and dark in them, and a huge theme in all his books is that it isn't about being on one team or the other. In the end, as we'll see in the coming season, the ones who truly suffer in the game of thrones are the people, the realm.
Remember what Viserys told Rhaenyra in the first episode: "The idea that we control the dragons, is an illusion. They're a power man should never have trifled with."
I agree with you and also subscribe to the belief that Vhagar wasn’t just attacking Arrax because she was attacked first, but because she could feel the resentment Aemond has towards Luke. When you take into account the fact that she roared when Luke took Aemond’s eye and that Luke’s arrival in Storm’s End triggered her like that, it becomes clear that she hated Luke just as much as Aemond did. Aemond is human and knows not to cross that line l, but Vhagar’s an animal. All she knows is this boy hurt the rider she’s bonded to so she eliminated him.
The dragons are emotionally connected to their riders. They share their emotions. Lucerys was scared, his dragon responded by getting protective. Aemond was vengeful and bloodthirsty, his dragon, a battle hardened ginormous war machine responded by delivering on that blood thirst. Aemond surely understood that he could not kill Lucerys, if not for the consequences it would have with the conflict then because he comes from a quite strictly religious family where kinslaying is a grave sin, but the dragons don’t respond to rational thought, they respond to feelings and desires.
Aemond was trying to scare Luke. What he didn't account for is the fact that Vhagar is a freaking war dragon (and a senile one, hoary old b!tch, lol). At the first sign of Vhagar snapping after Arrax Aemond should have backed off. Of course grandma Vhagar takes it personally when some young whelp blasts fire into her face. Arrax was acting on Luke's fear and wanted to protect his rider, it's evident from the moment Vhagar pops up from the castle walls that Arrax is scared AF. "The idea that we control the dragons, it's an illusion." The dragons aren't horses to be ridden, they are characters in their own right. So many fans discarded that when watching the scene.
One of the most intimidating things I’ve ever seen in a movie or tv show is vaegar looming through the rain of storms end like some sort of lovecraftian horror, i get chills every time i see it
You gave me a new perspective on the whole show. When I watched it on TV, I was bored to death halfway through. But your analysis and interpretations of the scenes and the characters made me start liking the show more and more.
Vhagar is an exceptional old and powerful dragon. Arrax breathing fire at her out of fear was like shooting a gun outside the front door of a Vietnam vet. Vhagar's PTSD just took over. The rider Vhagar was bound to longest was Visenya Targaryen. Harsh, hot-tempered, unforgiving, a warrior who convinced Aegon of the need for the Kingsguard by opening his face with Dark Sister before his Household Guard even got their swords out. She absolutely would've killed Lucerys for taking her eye.
I feel like the the Dragons can make there own independent thoughts for instance Luke had Arrax since hatching. I imagine him being very protective since he can feel how scared Luke is, him spewing fire on Vhagar was him saying “back off,” problem is Vhagar has fought in many battles helped kill thousands of men on the Fields of Fire, knowing her rider is having fun playing these games having a chase then suddenly get hit with a blast of fire in the faces just thought “Games over for you buddy”
I imagine they have more of an empathic bond instead of telepathic, maybe a little bit of both. I think a Dragon can sense the true heart of their rider. I think Aemond hated his cousin most of his life and even more after he lost his eye. I think Aemond only wanted to scare his cousin, but deep down he was harboring hate.
You are honestly amazing, not many people actually understood correctly what happened with the dragons but you nailed it. You get it, even if Aemond didn't want to kill Luke he still went too far. He is to blame for. Nyra loved Luke so much she will never recover from it.
Rhae’s kids are devoted to her because she is a actual devoted mother. Her kids cared more that Viserys had passed away than Alicent’s. Sad. And I’m not sure Alicent loves her kids the way they are supposed to be loved. Something is off because Helaena always dodges Alicent’s affections. Rhae was a complete bad ass in the episode. She lost her father, her birthright, her baby girl and her baby boy, all in the span of a week.
No one will escape Rhaenyra’s wrath
notice how in the end her song turned into this dark twisted piece? And when she drops Daemon's hand and takes a few steps forward she rubs her stomach almost she could feel once again when she was pregnant with Luke? I thought those were really nice touches.

“The fact that we control the dragons- is an illusion” - Viserys “a dragon is not a slave” - Daenerys
Thank god this show saved the franchise. I love it.
Viserys in episode one: "The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion. They're a power man should never have trifled with. One that brought Valyria its doom."
23:44 omg you reacted exactly the way I did when I saw this scene the first time 😭😭😭 Vhagar was so mad at his mere presence, Idk why Luke didn’t immediately do a u-turn “sorry mum, the baratheons weren’t home” 💀
"Weren't home" 💀💀
I think she sent that page from their childhood to emotionally weaken and manipulate Rhaenyra since she has mentally abused her for 10yrs already
You've got to remember what Viserys said to Rhaenyra in episode 1.
"The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion"
I mean, that last picture of Vhagar flying out from the clouds with open jaws still haunts me.
now i agree it was a shocking scene but let’s be serious- lucerys and his 5 minutes of screentime had nothing on ned stark or the red wedding 😭
I don’t agree that it’s as important, but it’s definitely as intense
@@hali_55 Luce's death is the reason the dance of Dragon began and ended the Targaryen dynasty + dragon extinction. So his death is far more important than Ned's death.
I love the scene where Daemon chokes Rhaenyra out of pure anger that Viserys never truly saw him as heir and when he lets her go Rhaenyra just fucking smirks at him like “oh, you didn’t know? lol 🤭” I kinda love her 🤣🤣🤣
True, she wasn't even surprised😂😂😂
Rhaeynera is the only one who knows daemon best and can keep him under control which is why I don’t understand why visery’s didn’t keep daemon as heir and marry him to rhaeynera or the opposite. It has been established many times and in front of many people that rhaenerya can handle him to the best of her ability even otto was worried when she went to confront daemon on dragonstone about her brothers dragon egg. Yes daemon will be daemon but with rhaenyera at his side to reign him in they could’ve ruled the world.

And also kudos to Ser Steffon Darklyn, who was the one who delivered the crown in the book
then the storm broke, and the dragons danced.
Can’t wait for Season 2!
The dragon to whom Daemon is singing is Vermithor, called "The Bronze Fury," who was the mount of Old King Jaehaerys. (Vermithor's mate Silverwing was the mount of Jaehaerys's wife Good Queen Alyssane.)
Vermithor is a few years younger than Dreamfyre, the dragon of Jaehaerys's older sister Rhaena who now belongs to Queen Helaena, but Vermithor is larger and more powerful. The only living dragons bigger than Vermithor are Vhagar and probably The Cannibal.
(The Cannibal is a wild dragon that no one has ever been able to tame. It has eaten everyone who tried. It prefers to eat young dragons. The smallfolk claim it has been on Dragonstone since before the Targaryens arrived, making it older and possibly larger than even Balerion, although Maesters doubt that claim.)
At this point Vermithor is 96 years old, which is about the perfect age for fighting wars.

Vaghar is so huge that Aemond had to park her outside Storm's End lol😂
Sofie you are easily one of the smartest reactors , there’s so many reactors who miss things but you rarely do.
Starks honored their oaths till Ned made kids 😂😂😂
Well, there was also the whole Lyanna breaking her betrothal thing, albeit that was a bit more understandable, as Lyanna broke a pledge she had no part in making.

Daemon is all of us when we are reminded of season 8 😂. House of the dragon is absolutely amazing though, and your reactions are great!
Also young princes have a tendency to die at war. And of course if they will not die on their own you can always help them a little bit.
@@thedoomofvalyria6466 That was his plan, either he would poison the heirs, or they would die in war, daemon knew this.

@@cataclyzm3844 No good reason for that opinion.

She is ready for war now & I don't blame her. Phenomenal job by Emma
Aemond knows if he says that he lost control of Vaegar then that will make him look weak, so he is gonna brag and say that was his plans all along.

Well loved your reactions to this series and now it's on to the agonizing wait for season 2 when the war truly begins.
Idem !
Viserys Told Rhenyra in episode 1 that "The idea, we (Targaryans) control the dragons, is just an illusion".
Indeed, they are bonded to them but they dont control them, the dragons have still a will of their own.
@gojoshine5961dragons have disobeyed and acted on their own before viserys
@gojoshine5961 Silverwing, Alysanne's dragon, refused to fly beyond the Wall and in the books, Daenerys can barely control Drogon.
As the other guy mentioned silverwing refused to fly above the wall even after Alysanne tried 3 times.(which makes you wonder about the Magical properties of the wall)
Plus the Area Targaryen incident where she tried claiming Balerion which is actually in fire and blood and adds cadence to what show Viserys said.
He is not caring about throne as much as he caring about killing Higtowers is better explanation) THATS his best motivation
Ironic that it was Aemon, the prince who seemed like he should have been king, is responsible for the negligence that began the war, rather than Aegon, the prince who became the king that everyone predicts will be a disaster.

@jadeberry5620 thanks for the correction I forgot who was who
Rhaenyra should have told Lucerys that he could offer Lord Borros a dragon.
@magister343 That's a good point but it could have become a Quentyn Martell situation as well.

While telling prophecy king said " The thought we control dragon's is myth" there is bond connection but not control.
I really hope she didn’t miss that line from Daemon about his sons 😂😂😂 it was perfect

Man this was a ride, I am so stunned at how well you pick up on character motivations (I have to wonder if you are an actor yourself, or have worked in film? From experience I've found I understand storytelling much better after training to be an actor)
And you very clearly seem to care and understand the lore in this universe.
The end, almost the same look when she turned around as Daenerys had when Cersei killed Missandei....
Rhaenyra: we have to protect the realm from the Night King
Daemon: damnit, I am the Night King
Daemon meant it in a way that Viserys was poisoned by the greens. Which makes sense.
Daemon would be proud of Daenerys 🤣
The shot where Vermithor is in the clouds above Luc, was one of, if not the best shot, of the series!
Remember what Viserys told Rhaenyra in the first episode: "The idea that we control the dragons, is an illusion. They're a power man should never have trifled with."
" The idea that we control dragon is an delusion ." King viserys
There was never lived a Stark who forgot his oath. Meanwhile Robb Stark: Hold my cup of Ale!
What a great season! Now our wait begins.
“There has never been a Stark who forgot an oath.” Oh, Robb. 😢
25:30 I said that too the first time I read about his eye. He's an anime villain, but that's why I love him.🤣
Man I been waiting for this! Yes!!
You’re finally all caught up on Game of thrones universe!! Lol hopefully you can now start The Bear soon! Highly recommend it 10/10
Riderless dragons can be reclaimed. Vhagar was riderless for many years before Laena claimed her.
wearing green for the black queen ep is unexpected
When dragons went war everything burned. The amount of control Targaryens have over their dragons is more fluid is what Aemond learned.
All Hail The Black Queen.
Girl power in every single way! She loses her father, her only daughter, and son in one day! Whatever she does and how Daemon follows things out are 2 separate things in next season. Its going to be crazy and soul shaking.
