It's that time of the random period of time again where I say that I am not associated with Mitsuharu Fukuyama in any way. Check the description for links and what not; and please enjoy :). Once again, thank you to Nanashi Zero for being the first to recommend this, then DaFunky and also Mine's uhhh Gum Collection.
@@SnowiestAngeman so this was made for the Yakuza THE BEST album which consisted all the favorite tracks from the original to dead souls (including Kenzan). The remix was also used for the PS3 HD collection for Yakuza 1 and 2.
My pleasure kyoudai, thks for your great work. I love so much his work, Solitude is probably my "long battle" theme. In Dead Souls, Inescapable Battle is a masterpiece.
I found his music pretty flexatious, but knowing he is the man who composed Bakamitai just solidifies him as one of the GOATs. Please come back in Lost Judgment…
Spicy Brass Squad, Solitude, Affected Fight _and_ Bakamitai? My god I hope he comes back. Edit: I gotta be honest, Yakuza has to have the best group of composers in video game history. It’s got so much diversity in every genre of music, and I think that’s so endearing.
i know bakai mitai is his most appreciated work, but jesus fucking christ solitude is the best long battle theme for one of my favorite long battles none of his songs are flops, theyre either good or the best goddamn thing to ever come out of a game composer
Solitude, to this day, remains one of my all-time favorite tracks from the Yakuza series. It's just so powerful and cool, so yeah. And of course... BAKA MITAI!
Not gonna lie, when you had to chase that chicken in yakuza 5, while a desperate run play’s, I was just completely confused but wasn’t surprised as that’s what a yakuza game is about
Don't be forgetting about 堀井 亮佑 / Ryosuke Horii, the chap behind the lyrics for that legendary song along with many other karaoke tunes for the series (And Director for Ryu ga Gotoku 7 / Yakuza: Like a Dragon as well?? If they are indeed the same person, holy crap!). But no kidding, although I've not yet played the games for myself (Because I'm a bugger about starting with Ryu ga Gotoku 1&2 HD, but cannot find the time nor energy to fire up my PlayStation 3) or heard the entire soundtrack in full, but Fukuyama-san was absolutely lighting Ryu ga Gotoku 5 up with the likes of 'Isolated Fight', 'Affected Fight' & the unforgettable 'The Battle for the Dream'. Even if he's content with not composing any more music for Ryu ga Gotoku again, he certainly left his own profound mark on the series to leave the likes of myself to be content with.
You know, I was never planning on talking about him, but I think I might look at Ryosuke Horii in a sort of bonus video for the series now as he doesn't compose music, but the karaoke and stuff wouldn't be the same without him. Thank you for mentioning him
The fact you never mentioned he composed Battle for the dream greatly upsets me,as I believe that is the best track in all of yakuza 5 for arguably the best boss fight in the series. I'm just sad -~-
Another great episode. I know like 5 people have played Ishin, but there's are at least 2 really incredible songs on there and I have to know who made them. Planning on doing Ishin at all?
I wouldn't do a specific game but most of the composers I've looked at have done Ishin songs so you can check out their playlists to see what they made for Ishin
i think the soundtracks are all great but yakuza 4-5 were the peak of yakuza music after it quality kinda dropped not too much bet went more electronic which was great sometimes but not for 90% of the ost like yakuza LAD and yakuza 0 did which i wasnt a big fan of sure some songs are huge bangers but i dont like 90% of the soundtrack is just the same thing and genre.
Like a Dragon and 0's soundtracks are my favourite haha but I fully understand your problem with those soundtracks. 5 I have always praised as having the most diverse soundtrack in the series because it has so many different sounds and was a turning point in terms of quality in so many different ways for the series. I think it was not only because of Mitsuharu's direction, but because of having new composers like Hyd Lunch and ZENTA to mix things up in an awesome way. 5 kicks ass
@@SnowiestAngeman i agree with you mostly and i think yakuza lad and 0 are have masssive bangers just yakuza 5 nailed to get more songs into my playlist yknow

He also made my favorite version of Receive You:

I had no idea that CD even existed lol

@@natsurashizero Ahhh so that must be where I've heard that version then
My pleasure kyoudai, thks for your great work. I love so much his work, Solitude is probably my "long battle" theme. In Dead Souls, Inescapable Battle is a masterpiece.
Fukuyama really came into Yakuza 5 as music director, dropped Baka Mitai, refused to elaborate further, and then left. What a chad
Absolute chad energy
The fact that Baka mitai is one of his last songs, makes very sad...
Dame da ne
Dame yo dame na no yo
Anta ga
Sukhi de suki sugite
Dore dake
Tsuyoiosa
Ka de mo
Yugawanai
Omo idega
Baka mitai...
Now THIS is a dame da ne moment
I found his music pretty flexatious, but knowing he is the man who composed Bakamitai just solidifies him as one of the GOATs. Please come back in Lost Judgment…
I will NOT let the man who composed one of the best Kiryu battle themes be known as the Dame Da Ne Guy
Haha just making a reference to the meme of Kiryu on Spotify being the "Dame da ne guy"
What a legend, Yakuza 5's ost wouldn't be where it is without him.
Bakamitai was the reason a lot of people got into yakuza lol I don’t think the series would be where it now if it wasnt for him!! Mad respect
Spicy Brass Squad, Solitude, Affected Fight _and_ Bakamitai? My god I hope he comes back.

Solitude goes hard.
Affected fight is my favorite fight theme simply because akiyama
Man, I really hope that he does more songs for Yakuza. Because he has made BANGERS.
i know bakai mitai is his most appreciated work, but jesus fucking christ solitude is the best long battle theme for one of my favorite long battles
none of his songs are flops, theyre either good or the best goddamn thing to ever come out of a game composer
Yakuza 5 is in the top 2 osts for the yakuza games imo. Really appreciate this guy for making such memorable songs!
5's soundtrack just hits different in every regard
Bruh just making affected fight makes him the GOAT
HE MADE SOLITUDE
Solitude, to this day, remains one of my all-time favorite tracks from the Yakuza series. It's just so powerful and cool, so yeah. And of course... BAKA MITAI!
Solitude, the best long battle theme
Not gonna lie, when you had to chase that chicken in yakuza 5, while a desperate run play’s, I was just completely confused but wasn’t surprised as that’s what a yakuza game is about
It's pretty appropriate music given the situation
tfw you realise you have to punch twice to hit the chicken
*babe wake up, new SnowiestAngeman video*
Ah the guy whose song eventually led to insane popularity of the series 😁👍
Indeed but it's sad because it became popular long after he left :(
Better late then never and I'm sure he's still very proud
This man composed Baka mitai… if it weren’t for him the yakuza series wouldn’t be as big as it is now.
Indeed that's why it's such a shame he doesn't work on the Yakuza games anymore :(
You gotta do Hidenori Shoji. Mans made so many bangers
If no one has any more good recommendations then I shall make a video on him next
Battle For the Dream is damn good
Damn his songs are all amazing
He composed Solitude where is this man I need to give him all of my money to make more music for the series.
Solitude? oh mama.
dude I love your videos so much
I'm glad you do :)
:O he composed because i have you, affected fight AND baka mitai... i love him
THE GOAT!!!!!
It was a good recommendation by you
So what you’re saying is this dude composed nothing but HEAT
STRAIGHT FIRE yes
He's the best cause he made Solitude.
wow skipping dead souls
some of his biggest bangers come from there, singlehandedly sold the atmosphere where the graphics fell short
so Kiryu is NOT the dame da ne guy?
been living a lie my whole life.
Bakamitai was tge trigger that made me play the yakuza series this guy is a GOAT

spoiler

Ye sorry about that but at least I do have a playlist of all the songs he composed haha
@@SnowiestAngeman yes,but there could've been greatness if that track was mentioned. Oh well. Good job anyways
His Dead Souls and 5 music was so good. I wonder if he will do some of the new Judgement OST considering how jazzy it can be
wow he really composed baka mitai... i hope he comes back for LJ
My man didnt even mention the best final boss yheme that is the battle for the dream, all the rest that he did are still top tier songs nonethless
I love that song too but I didn't want to put in a big spoiler haha
HE MADE AFFECTED FIGHT AND BC I HAVE YOU AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Masterclass
He should compose everything
Made isolated fight and affected fight sick
when the affected fight solo hits
i found him the dama dane guy
I could be wrong but I think he came back for like a dragon ishin
still waiting for hidenori shoji
Guess who's back in Sonic Superstars
yees
Dame dame guy
none of this explains the chicken
Chicken nuggies and chips
Haha-
Wait he was the original creator of dame dame funi song ?

2:02 For the sake of curiosity, how much of Dead Souls music did Fukuyama do exactly?
Didn’t he also do the battle for the dream
Yes and this is a playlist of every song he was credited for composing for the Yakuza games ua-cam.com/play/PLN58ITKbq8wBdMDsB8kCoRJ08MyU6W1Bf.html
