I believed what i observed and know, not on what other political parties say or portrayed... Meghalaya is not safe under his leadership. He is only a SWEET TALK CM and who is busy building his family empire. In many sectors, meghalaya is declining under his government. MDA is high level government and not the people's government...

To those that do not eat beef, we beef eaters, which may amount to billion upon billion worldwide, are seen as insane by those that do not eat beef in our own country. Why is this so? And like Conrad ( Chief Minister Meghalaya) who is bold enough to openly support freedom to eat what one.wishes, I am now contemplating on writing my usual one pager on this topic. Conrad is the youngest Chief Minister we have had in Meghalaya, and he's been able to hold the coalition he led for one term and is now looking good to complete a second term. That speaks volumes with regard to his popularity. It also speaks a lot about the hope the people have in him. We all know it takes a caterpillar some time to become a butterfly, a seed takes a long time before it can reproduce it's own and in this context I must add, listening to this interview, Conrad is headed in the right direction. It's taken time but he has assumed the role of a leader now...I daresay, a leader of the North East. One reason for this hope the people have, is his ability to talk common sense when holding an interview. He actually makes us proud. Central to anyone's opinion of a CM is the quality of the person - the way the person appears, the way the person talks, the persons amicable attitude in the face of difficult questions, and there are numerous difficult questions that a CM faces in any interview - in this interview especially. Through it all he had no hesitation in making it clear that ones food habits is the worst subject to raise in politics. There was a time...a few years back when we thought religion was the worst thing to have entered politics, I tell you eating beef becoming a political issue, is the rock bottom level of healthy politics. You didn't address the Beef Ban issue in the State Mr Chief Minister, infact, you said nothing! You pushed the responsibility to the Deputy Commissioners, to extent that you even said, that "If such small issues are taken up by the Government, then how will the Government take up larger issues?" without realising that this issue could have turned for the worse! YOU DID NOTHING AND TOOK AN AMBIGUOUS STANCE FROM THE GOVERNMENT'S SIDE !" It was the Chief Secretary who had to finally take up the responsibility. Kindly do not take credit for others' work. You cannot handle issues such as drug trafficking and abuse. Imagine, that in a state with a population of 30 lakhs, there are 3 lakhs drug abusers, i.e 10% of the population are trapped in this hell. This problem was there since the 80's but it was accelerated in recent years mostly during your tenure as Chief Minister. Have you ever tried to find ways and means to atleast reduce drug trafficking and enforce rigid inspection on border areas? Robberies and murders and rape are common, many of them against women and children, what have you done to tackle that? I dont mean you to go and investigate or arrest the criminals personally, but atleast you could have asked for a holistic study on why such crime is on the rise in this state?, then perhaps you would understand the root of the problem. Merely arresting someone in POCSO or any other law, will not bring justice to the victims, nor has it hindered perpetrators of the crimes. As for development, the lesser said the better, I wont go into the details. Mr. Chief Minister, your only achievement is that you are the Chief Minister that speak good English and can play " Iron Maiden" on the electric guitar, beyond that, I'm sorry to say, you are not fit to administer. Your father would have rolled in his grave by now.

Three main reasons for the Meghalaya government's impairment: 1. Corrupt selfish ministers and workers working under the chief 2. The fiscal burden brought upon by the financial commitments, liabilities, and obligations of the previous administration. 3. Constant pressure from the current matters or challenges that require almost immediate attention, debate, or action, such as economic issues, social issues, or policy issues. If not for these three things, the current government would function much more efficiently and most of the issues of the residents of the State would be solved even before demands could be made. So for those who don't understand how heavy the crown is I request to kindly reflect upon this.

With time our politics normally should be on the ascendancy, but if eating habits is the issue at stake I fear we are heading downhill and we all know that coming down is many times faster than going up.
So, the big question we should ask ourselves is: Are we growing each day, becoming better, stronger, wiser, smarter, and constantly improving or are we losing it all?

Just a geographical correction, Bangladesh is situated on the south of Meghalaya and Assam lies entirely on the North of Meghalaya & also on the west.

You didn't address the Beef Ban issue in the State Mr Chief Minister, infact, you said nothing! You pushed the responsibility to the Deputy Commissioners, to extent that you even said, that "If such small issues are taken up by the Government, then how will the Government take up larger issues?" without realising that this issue could have turned for the worse! YOU DID NOTHING AND TOOK AN AMBIGUOUS STANCE FROM THE GOVERNMENT'S SIDE !" It was the Chief Secretary who had to finally take up the responsibility.

You cannot handle issues such as drug trafficking and abuse. Imagine, that in a state with a population of 30 lakhs, there are 3 lakhs drug abusers, i.e 10% of the population are trapped in this hell. This problem was there since the 80's but it was accelerated in recent years mostly during your tenure as Chief Minister.
Have you ever tried to find ways and means to atleast reduce drug trafficking and enforce rigid inspection on border areas?
Robberies and murders and rape are common, many of them against women and children, what have you done to tackle that? I dont mean you to go and investigate or arrest the criminals personally, but atleast you could have asked for a holistic study on why such crime is on the rise in this state?, then perhaps you would understand the root of the problem. Merely arresting someone in POCSO or any other law, will not bring justice to the victims, nor has it hindered perpetrators of the crimes.
As for development, the lesser said the better, I wont go into the details.
Mr. Chief Minister, your only achievement is that you are the Chief Minister that speak good English and can play " Iron Maiden" on the electric guitar, beyond that, I'm sorry to say, you are not fit to administer.

Three main reasons for the Meghalaya government's impairment:
1. Corrupt selfish ministers and workers working under the chief
2. The fiscal burden brought upon by the financial commitments, liabilities, and obligations of the previous administration.
3. Constant pressure from the current matters or challenges that require almost immediate attention, debate, or action, such as economic issues, social issues, or policy issues.
If not for these three things, the current government would function much more efficiently and most of the issues of the residents of the State would be solved even before demands could be made. So for those who don't understand how heavy the crown is I request to kindly reflect upon this.
The ways he speaks is good but his governance is worst at all level including education, health care, infrastructure,salary for the teachers .....and so on .He used to purchase good leaders and MLAs,MDCs from other parties especially from INC party
