Dude.. Tommy's 5 bar D and quickness to steal that pass on the final ball and get it on his 5 bar was super clutch.. impressive player for sure.

Damn, that was really high level foos! Yore showed extreme self-control under pressure there, much respect!

Our little town (Manistee Michigan) had a place where kids all played Foos around 1980 for about a decade. After I got my drivers license I could go there. I got really good at it for some reason. But we invented a lot more 3 man shots than are used today. They were tricky and they worked, and still do today, (shots you guys have never seen, before the pinch shot got the most popular). They can work so good, I never mastered the "trap/pinch" shot from the three man and I never needed to. I use the goalie much different too, and it worked just as good against national pros I had later played against around 1993. (A legend named Bob Curtin, also called "The bionic pull". 7th in the world in the 70's I understood. Met him at a dive in Grand Rapids MI. called "DJ's Lounge").
I have not played in over a decade, but I can get it back in 6 months and run with these guys, except one thing. "The 5 man pass to the 3 man", I don't seem to find the left hand coordination for it. I can make as many 3 man shots or more than these guys,---but if you cant get the ball to your 3 man more often than the other guy, it does not matter how good you shoot from 3. You won't win a game at this level if you can't get the ball to your 3 man.

I also saw a show on TV back then called "Games people play", and they were showing some pro foosball. This was also before the pinch shot, (and the Tornado table), and the best 3 man shot was just using the center guy, and pushing the ball back and fourth from goal end to goal end, by just circling, (push it, get your guy on the other side, then pull it,--repeat 10 times super fast), around the ball and moving it back and fourth super fast until he saw a hole. I have tried to mast that too, but failed. I have never seen anybody move the ball like that before or since.

@@EarthSurferUSA I m sorry to be the one to break the bad news to ya .... But without a 5 bar passing game your not gonna win much even in the lower ranks. Most of the rookies on tour have a good developed 5 bar for passing to the 3. Your kidding yourself if you think you can play with either of these 2. They are both Pro Master players. So if you can play with these 2 guys then you would be one of the top players in the World. Takes years of practice to reach this status.

I live very close to your little town. I will pay you money for you to teach me to make as many 3 man shots as these 2 machines. But if you're coming back to foos I would start with playing amateurs and semi pros before saying you can play with pro masters.

Obviously this is way late in coming, but.....better late than never. I just thought somebody should clarify to you, that what you're is seeing here, in terms of the shots by the forward 3 bar, are what many might call, tournament shots. These are the high percentage shots that most pros will use when playing tournaments. They use their strongest shots they have in their repertoire. For the vast majority of pros, that will be either the pull shot or the roll over, aka the snake shot. However, if you ever get to see these players, just kind of horsing around, playing foosball for fun, you would see not only the shots that you speak of, you would see many many more, and they are all done to the highest level. If you are fortunate enough to witness this, you will truly begin to understand just how good these players really are.

On a technical level, Yore has got what it takes, I think he's pretty much on par with Spredeman. He can also handle the pressure of high-stakes-games and if he can set the pace, he's the kind of player who can just keep turning it up. But I think Spredeman is quicker to react to the flow of the game, switching up the pace and ruining his opponent's rhythm. However, Yore just proved that he can handle massive pressure. I think Spredeman still has the edge for now, but if Yore keeps up this kind of performance, he may eventually dethrone Spredeman.

I don't see it happening. Of course he could grab a win here and there but won't be able to hold the throne long or as long.
