Great video Norling! Funny that this video is about a perch. Because I got my pb last sunday it was 36cm and estimated high 2lb to 3lb range. I got it just after commenting I would like a big perch on your irl video. Great video and nice trophy! Keep doing what you are doing!

Never lock caliber its stoopid, lock when you have venga
Just never lock carps, venga is good enough to pull them out with 29 :) Of course lock sturgeons with venga only with legacys
u can lockpick every fish just be patient and super reactive to unlock it when it is close to break zone
@@frares_doc carp is not worth locking, they are very unpredictable when they will start running. be patient ant pull it out on fric brake
It really is tricky to lock with Caliber reel but you can lock quite a few big carp with that reel. One day i will have vengas!
Just don't lock HSV, the mech is crap. It's designed to be used for friction brake applied to a long spool of line, not locking.@@makentoshas

(from what i heard, not really tried out myself, you should only throw in 10 portion of feed after that it seems to fall of, but take this advice with a grain of salt (do you even say it like that? i have no idea😅))

quick tip next time you go for grass or black carp on ob, you will know when its trophy size because it will instantly burn your reel, finished that whole card with the hsv :)

You don't need to jump to Vengas after HSV. That might be ok advice specifically for those people who, aren't streaming or fishing primarily for fun and challenges, and who actually enjoy/have very high tolerance for inhumane levels of grind. For those of us who want to be more kind to ourselves, other steps like the Evia 8000 and Tagara exist. Remember advice isn't the same for everyone, and not all of us are just trying to get to Sturgeon and Sea fishing as quickly as possible while ignoring everything else. One of the best things about RF4, is the challenge and reward of all kinds of fun and rare species, not just fat deadweight type species like Sturgeon and so on. Lots of us enjoy ultralight, carp fishing focus, and many other things. There is no objective victory or goal in the game that says you have to just skip 80% of the content in order to just get the heaviest fish in game, and indeed there is often more skill involved with other targets, such as your trophy hunting approach.
Also, you don't need to get three of each reel on the way to your end game reel. When I was levelling up, every reel was an upgrade, because every upgrade increases the rate at which you make silver, and that opens up new options for your route through all the products. I have one HSV, one Evia 8000, one Tagara, one venga, a couple of baitcasters, and then went to conventional reels.
Good to know! I always had the impression that after HSV the best option would be to go for the venga reel. I will write doown Evia and tagara for myself! Of course it is a simulation game and people should just have fun and not go for the most effective route.
@@NorlingGaming Venga is incredibly versatile, but to get there from HSV means very dedicated and often boring long term grinding, focusing on catching e.g. amber carp and ladoga trolling, while ignoring most other things. It can kill the enjoyment of the game if heavy and repetitive grinding isn't your main 'fun'.
@@B.D.E. That is the fun of simulation games do what you want to do and the way you want to do it. Grinding can get boring fairly quickly.
What is the hook for the fun spot?
I think i used hook size 20 or smaller.
