One phone you should have mentioned was a few months before the enV3 and enV Touch was the LG Versa, it was a music phone that you could take off the back cover and put on a keyboard case, similar to enV. A lot of news articles said it was the next enV phone or the Voyager 2, I don't think so at all but still thought it would be fun to mention it!
G, I have to say that I'm in shock that you have less than 1000 subs. This content is so interesting and well thoughtout, I feel like the phone community on UA-cam is pretty focused on new releases but I am obsessed with these videos about older phones as they were so much more interesting! I'm an 06 kid so I was pretty young during the releases of some of these iconic phones but its never to late to experience and learn about them!
The LG Dare was apart of this line I thought. Same thing for the ENV touch. Then the LG Venus. I had the Green Lg EnV then an LG Venus & when the touch part broke on phone I remember getting lg env touch model and it was the worst phone ever. It always died or froze the phones opening up kinda made no sense when everything was customizable on the outside. Facebook Messenger work on the touchscreen and the inside it didnt. It was a weird phone. You could install apps but on the outside only cause there touchscreen based. I remember downloading a fun resident evil game on that phone! Phones use to be so fun! Now we slabs of glass!
The EnV2 was my favorite phone of pre-smart phones. None of my keys fell off, I did not baby it at all very durable. Thank you for the content. Be well.
I had no idea about the email button changing when the orange and green came out. 🤭 that’s such a small detail, but you caught it! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 I wouldn’t have expected anything less. Your videos are truly one of a kind!!!
I noticed it immediately after moving from a silver enV to a green enV, I was also fairly young back then. The speaker texture also changed ever so slightly. Honestly, the only reason I even switched phones at the time is because my mom was buying an enV anyway and I really wanted the green one for myself.
I remember during this era of messaging phones virgin mobile made one called the wildcard. Very very similar the enV but it was half the price and had a bunch of features that enV didn't have at the time. It was a great phone but unfortunately wasn't able to see the success that enV had.
The majority of my high school years involved local pizzeria income accompanied by the emissions of a standard '93 VW Passat and the basic shit from an lg EnV. Class of 09
ahh, i have the second gen right nest to me. the speakers are incredible! it also has that battery door issue that i had to fix with some paper lol. it also had water damage but works great nonetheless!
I had the enV 3 and it was Maroon. I ended up throwing it at the wall for a reason I can't remember but the inside screen cracked so it was pretty much fucked only being able to use the front screen. Being thT the inside is the main screen so texting was hard for me and pretty much ruined the whole phone.

I know exactly what your talking about! That was a "unique" idea for a phone before smartphones anyways.
