Here's a funny deck I made during the "tiny bubble" quest. It worked out, in a strange way, interesting control variant. Still a 50/50. 2x North shire 2x Power word shield 1x shadow word pain 2x Acolyte 2x Cabaltalon Priest. 2x Mirage Caller* 2x Scarlet Crusader 1x Death 1x Barnes 1x Eater of secrets 2x Bishop 2x Psych-o-tron 2x Argent Commander 1x Dragon fire 2x Sunwalker 1x Mind Control The mirage caller is intended to be drawn later, and used on your divine shield minions preferable Sunwlker and Argent commander. Somehow this deck worked marginally better than I thought, but the mirage on the taunted minions basically sets up your opponent to use removal or take damage for a few turns as they bash through them, that damage is pretty significant over the long term. The buff supplements the health loss of the divine shield, and also works well with a barnes minion being buffed. I added eater of secrets which nullified the mages using ice block as an insurance. Mind control helped against Barnabas and large taunts. It had interesting results. The combination of healing units gives interesting board swings of pressure.
i just noticed something. when amaz hovered over the quest, the spells that didnt start in his deck that were in his hand stayed the same color, where as the other spells dimmed out. You can tell because the frost nova on the left dimmed where as the one in the middle stayed the same color
At 4:51, I think Amaz played too safe and missed a guaranteed lethal. He could just play 2 apprentice and molten reflection, then play the glyph. Both the reflection and glyph came from cabalist tome and would count towards the quest. It was turn 9, and he had enough mana: 2(apprentice)+2(apprentice)+2(reflection)+0(glyph)+2(time warp). Then on the next turn he could play Antonidas, getting 3 fireballs and attack with 3 apprentices, which would be 27 damage. The only thing he need to do was finding a spell cost 3 or less from the glyph, or drawing any spell except the blizzard in his deck next turn. I think this is very likely to happen. Even he failed, he could still attack with apprentices and cast fireland portal on the opponent's face, dealing 9+5=14 damage, and finish the game with pyroblast next turn.
How does the secret draw battlecry work/coded ? I dont think its 50/50. I think it looks at all Secrets in your deck and because there are 2 ice blocks and 3 secrets in general its a 66,6% chance of getting ice block and a 33,3% chance for the armor thing

Naah, all that is needed to weaken mage quest is to make starting coin to not trigger it. Because getting 6 random spells that you can actualy play... it takes time. While getting only 5 (if you get free coin) is so much easier, especialy with that coin allowing you to balance your curve better. There is that reason why rest of your deck is just about stalling. It is not as if you can win at turn 5 with mage quest.
