These jobs are few and far between, usually require you to have a cargo van and drive 12hr days. There maybe some that luckily land on a really good one but most don't pay jack. I have been looking into this for years now and I had one pop up in my area. It was paying 500 dollars to drive enough miles you would have to stop 4 times for gas. At 100 dollars a pop at the gas station for a cargo van you would pay 400 in gas a day meaning you would make 100 dollars a day and that is before taxes. Not only that but most of the time unless you have a newer vehicle they won't even consider you if you get a car gig so you have to add that in. These guys see that one particular video is getting a lot of engagement and views and they all start to do it, telling you the same things and exaggerating about how much you can make and how "great" it is, lol. Smh.
Dude has never done this. You will never make this much. After gas, taxes, insurance, you will make $10-$12/hr and your $40k vehicle will be worthless after 2 yrs at 100k miles/yr - so more like $8/hr - same as Uber or any other driving gig. I challenge ANYBODY to post here if you made 120k/yr delivering
Yup. I did this work for 15 years.. the money is ok but for the amount I worked and the wear and tear on my car it makes it questionable. My best year I made 98k.. I worked 60 hours a week, 0 vacation or pto, I drove 105,000 miles in one year. My expenses gas, repairs, tires, car payment, insurance were 27,600$ so my annual pay was around 71,000 working my self to death. 12 hour days and my car always looks like a piece of crap after 6 months. Rocks chips, cracked, wind shield, sagging bumper. Driving all day everyday will absolutely destroy your car. So at the end of a year I made 70k with completely worthless car 0 benefits working 60 hours a week with 0 time off and we weren’t allowed days off this “working for yourself making your own hours is a myth, this stuff has to be picked up, there isn’t an army Of employees out here, if you don’t show up you’re fired”
I do this for a living. I work less than 35 hours a week and am on track to make 70-75k for the year. My coworker has been doing this longer and works more and he makes over 120k a year. I don’t think this is quite the norm. But you asked for anyone..
I worked for a company in St Loius called Pegasus. It was horrible. 12 hour days and then I was forced to work through every other weekend, so 5 days on, 2 days off the first week, and then no days off the second week, so it was 12 days in a row before your next day off. They also put over 20k miles on my car in only 3 months. I did make close to 5k a month, but living life in your car kind of sucks, especially if you have a family...
Not to mention fuel and maintenance expenses. Even for someone like me who can do a lot of auto repairs myself, it's not what it's cracked up to be. Fuel, vehicle maintenance, and self-employment tax eats a significant portion of pay. Furthermore, $120,000 a year is not typical--and I have never heard of anyone who has ever hit six figures doing this.
You can make 5k a month working other jobs without using your vehicle. Like cable, plumbing, alarms etc…. 5k a month is bs if you’re using your own car to deliver
Thanks, Super Dave! Great video for people who hate office work. Or being on a time clock, or being stuck in an office or factory for 8 to 12 hrs My son started doing this and luvs the hell out of it. He has worked for many companies and hated having bosses. At 26, he is now his own boss. He made 80 grand last year and has brought a mini-van for his business. I helped him cage it up last week..
Where did he start finding jobs. I’m a college student who works and school throughout the week but want to try this on days where my schedule is a little less heavy
We have been doing this in the Philippines since 2012. It is really a great business, especially for tax time. You can file a schedule "C" and deduct your car depreciation, matainence expense, Mileage, cell phone, computer , and internet, and part of your home expenses that you use for business, like Rent/Mortgage, utilities, etc. You must keep good records for items you share in your personal life.
Love half of it. What about explaining the Missing Half?... hours needed, how many stops, how many drop offs? average miles per day, would more than one company be needed? What could one average ea day for 8 hours effort? Of course more hours, more $ if you don't burn yourself out.
My coworker makes over 120k doing this. I work less, and am at a lower pay rate but I work about 30-35 hours a week and I’m on track to make 70k for the year. I don’t think we are the norm but I will say some people will be able to do this. For most others it’ll be a 15-25 per hour job
Let's do the math. It will easily take 60 to 80 hours to make $2500 a week. Of that expect 40% in taxes. About 15% in gas. Expect lots of wear and tear on your vehicle and most likely some repairs. Some of which will be tax deductions. Add everything up and of the 60-80 hours weekly you'll be making about $10 per hour.
I havent engaged in this type of work in a long time. But, since i know folks are looking for extra income, and i know some who DD, id say that one needs to get their feet wet and have a proven track with these types of dedicated courier runs. Its competitive, and folks that have been doing it for a long time know the ins and outs. I think if you have a newer vehicle and arent desperate for cash, its viable. I say newer vehicle because you want to be reliable for a while so more work can come your way. If your vehicle is older and has issues, youll get bumped down for others. Id also say that in the beginning, for better more lucrative runs, availability at a moments notice will get attention. Its doable to get to 1k a week, i think, in months, but id bet the better routes go to experienced couriers and small delivery services. In my rural area, contractors deliver packages for Ama, and i cant see it being that different for Med Supplies, especially if theres a need.
Your post sounds like you haven't been around this environment in a long time like you said. Try digging back in ad see what the delivery world is like today.
Curious do they require Vaccination for these courier positions, particularly Covid, for those of us that did not participate in the dangerous experiment ?
Let's keep in mind Trump and all republican members of congress participated in the "experiment". Did you have a legit question, or just wanted to push political rhetoric?
Don't forget to check the requirements they want for your vehicle before you even start to apply. Many places require you to have a vehicle that is 10 years old or newer, unfortunately.
One thing that was not mentioned was taking out for taxes,SS,FICA and the like. Most times as an independent contractor, you have to be your own accountant.
You also have constant maintenance on the vehicle……tires, brakes, gas, whatever else can break will break. It’s damn impossible to keep brakes and tires on a car doing deliveries.

Hi Dave, Don you have any resume tips? I’m sure there are other 9-5 employees looking into courier jobs but have no or little delivery experience. How should we present ourselves? Thank in advance
If it sounds to go to be true, it probably is. 2500 a week delivering medical supplies sounds unreachable unless you're doing nothing but working 100 hours a week

I was a 1099 courier for 3 years. Made pretty good money but the delivery rates are determined by the suppliers. You are basically an employee without benefits and you pay all your own taxes and expenses. Mandatory drug testing. This has been great for the suppliers. No fleet of vehicles to maintain. No employees to provide benefits for. I worked 60 hour weeks Mon-Fri. I burned out.
These companies are also scamming the shit out of the vulnerable patients who are forced to use them. 500%+ markups, etc. One of the most immoral business sectors in the states.
Yup I did it for longer but this is facts.. they will burn you out. I worked 60 hours a week no benefits, no time off.. the money was ok but I was miserable. It definitely sucks. Glad I moved on.
I promise u won’t make shit with drop off. They pay like $15 to drive 25-30 miles. And u have to realize the wait time and time to walk through hospitals and big labs takes a long time. So that’s straight cap
Dave, I was a medical courier in 2023. We picked up the Rx drugs at the pharmacy. They never had them ready on time and we have to wait there, many times for 1-2 hours, without getting paid for our time. This was the same at both the companies I worked for. After factoring in this unpaid time and gas costs the actual pay per hour was not great considering the high mileage you are putting on your car.
@@pastoryoda2789 that helps with the gas part but does nothing about the waiting around for hours not getting paid part. If its really a lot that will def cut into your hourly.

You need a much bigger vehicle and you'll be driving out all over hundreds of miles, in podunk town backroads overnight, every night, I know someone who did this and she did not make very much, had a fully loaded massive SUV, got in many accidents on unlit rural roads and nearly died. Hardly a dream job.
Not really. Spend a week walking into companies which need deliveries made and you will be working. Keep hitting up places and you will be swamped in a month. Your job is simply to be the best at what you do, and provide top notch customer service. Stand your ground and demand what you are worth. Never do anything for someone cheap who is making promises for more work later. Just move on. There are thousands of people who need your service. Just go look for them. You will find them. Ask questions of everyone. Some can help, and some cannot. Your intention to gain jobs must be greater than your fear of asking. That is the key to success. It works with women too. Trust me on that.
driving is like 40 cents per mile for an old honda. so driving for an hour, will cost 24 bucks - - meaning... if you're not getting paid at least 50 bucks hourly, it's not worthwhile.
Most of this type of videos don't include net profit. So , actual profits are less than the gross. Fuel constantly up more than down. W/t on your vehicle is expensive. So, a realistic profit in his case would more then likely be about $50,000.
Let’s not forget that Federal TAXES must be paid on top of fuel costs. So… that PT high paying job… is going need to be FT+. Need health insurance? Deduct that too. Oh yes. Social Security and state taxes must also be paid. So… to the simple minded: Enjoy this fantasy. Reality is waiting to kick you hard where it hurts the most!.
In America nobody gifts money. Sometime time sounds great after you find out how hard it is, most people would like to make 2500 a week but that is not the reality.
Unfortunately reality tells you it’s impossible to make money easily unless you’re doing something different than others. But a gig that’s open for everyone to do is just as Uber, who turned the transportation industry into a fast food market, because anybody can do it. Don’t fall for the same trap over and over and be unique.
People fall for the trap cause they don't want to do hard jobs, jobs like these get tons of applicants since most people find a job like this easier for them and their skill
Thank you for giving of your time and effort to help others find good paying jobs out there. That is very kind and thoughtful of you. So many people are struggling to make ends meet with the low paying wages many well known Companies are paying. That’s why so many are looking for worthwhile alternative independent contractor jobs.
I work a part time job at a used dealership. I pick up cars from the auction and bring them back. Then the following week I bring cars to specialty mechanics if ours can't do it and then I go get them and bring them back. Normally it is 3 days a week and 6 hours a day. Some days there's nothing and they just text me and say don't come in. $15 hour. Better than flipping burgers or Walmart.
I do this exact same thing for my business. Except I'm the repair shop and I pick up and drop off customer cars to my shop, fix them, then deliver them. I use a college student for this. She loves it.
Hello great video! Is it normal to pay an application fee?? I’ve never pd to apply & probably won’t. Is there a way around that? Trying to apply with frayt. I’m an excellent dependable trustworthy experienced driver, I’m not going to pay them to consider my services! To me that’s crazy👎
Good luck! But i tell you that you and most likely 100 of others have applied, since a job like this is easy, that alone will attract tons of low skilled applicants looking for an easier job. I know cause i applied on indeed and they had more than 1000 applicants, harder jobs are easier to get, since. Nobody wants to do them
State Farm just sent out amendments about this. Basically if you are using your vehicle for anything other than transportation. and get in a wreck, your fault or not you ARE NOT COVERED. Be weary check on YOUR insurance.
As a 60-something hale and hearty semi retiree working 3 days a week in auto parts, this sounds interesting. In the PT job, i'm on my feet nonstop for 8 hours a day, no breaks at all. Wears me out! I have to find something better for me and different where I can make equal or better money. I've been an independent contractor in the past so I'm familiar. I own a Chevy Suburban large SUV.
A guy comes into the dealership I work at every other week for service. Last visit he was at 635,000 miles on his 2016 Corolla. That’s just wayyyy to damn much windshield time for me!

One thing to consider in any delivery job where you use your own vehicle is the TOTAL cost of using that vehicle. The Federal calculation for mileage is 58.5 cents per mile. This includes ALL costs, fuel, maintenance, wear & tear and depreciation on the vehicle. In other words it costs $585 for every 1000 miles of driving before you make anything at all. The dirty secret is many of these costs don’t show up until later.
Love your videos , Nice to see someone helping out with others . I am a LICENSED NURSE going to school for Physical Therapy and started looking into some of your suggestions. I took a leave of absence from my job and started do driving for Medical Supplies . I am happy but sad to say , I can make more money doing this job and with a lot less stress . Factors including wear and tear on the car , oil changes ect still made me more money and less responsibility.

New to this idea. Hes not telling you all the facts. Depending on what state you live in there can be strict regulations on courier and independent contractor jobs. Also if you deliver interstate you must have a dot number and a 300 dollar movement permit from the fed. That requires a massive amount of complicated paperwork filing for which you usually pay a company hundreds of dollars for. On top of that, these "trucking" companies hound you relentlessly after you file, calling you hundreds a times a week because the fed gives them access to all your info literally the second you file. FYI
I love you Super Dave you might have just changed my life. My dad has a small fleet of trucks that do a dying business. If I can get him to convert to this and I can get a percentage from it you would've effectively retired me! If this happens I will definitely bring the support back to your channel! FYI : This could be a good case for an high millage electric vehicle one could buy it and easily pay for it with this type of work. It costs far less per mile and if you get a highest range you can charge it at night at home and it’s always ready in the morning. Tell your insurance company before you purchase the vehicle but Tesla’s insurance through Costco Connect auto insurance is less that other Vehicle’s now because they get in far less accidents they have so many cameras on me don’t hit other Vehicles so their incident level is far less. Just be sure your car is locked up Well at night in a Guarage. If so and you don’t have any tickets that’s an option you may consider
You're joking right? Doing you have an electric vehicle, have you driven one for any length of time over a week. Only those that don't own one think it's a good idea. Time is money and you spend most of you time charging the vehicle. Your driving (time sensitive delivery) will reduce range, a full load will farther reduce range and thats in good good temperature climate. No ev owners thinks it's a good idea.
Thank you very much for your research. I’m going to get into my computer and try to apply to this companies. I already subscribe to your channel hoping to hear more good news from you once again I thank you for all your research.

You forgot you get tax deduction and also you forgot you can use a cheap used car.
So at the end of a year I made 70k with completely worthless car 0 benefits working 60 hours a week with 0 time off and we weren’t allowed days off this “working for yourself making your own hours is a myth, this stuff has to be picked up, there isn’t an army
Of employees out here, if you don’t show up you’re fired”
I do this for a living. I work less than 35 hours a week and am on track to make 70-75k for the year. My coworker has been doing this longer and works more and he makes over 120k a year. I don’t think this is quite the norm. But you asked for anyone..
Your right. No1 left that tells truth anymore?
@andrewincontrera3128 bullshit
Excellent video! Brief and to the point! Thanks.
5k a month after millage and expences? 5k a month in revenue is not even close to min wage for the hours put in
You can make 5k a month working other jobs without using your vehicle. Like cable, plumbing, alarms etc…. 5k a month is bs if you’re using your own car to deliver
Nothing like being a drug runner
Thanks, Super Dave! Great video for people who hate office work. Or being on a time clock, or being stuck in an office or factory for 8 to 12 hrs My son started doing this and luvs the hell out of it. He has worked for many companies and hated having bosses. At 26, he is now his own boss. He made 80 grand last year and has brought a mini-van for his business. I helped him cage it up last week..
Where did he start finding jobs. I’m a college student who works and school throughout the week but want to try this on days where my schedule is a little less heavy
How many hours does he work?
He didn’t make 80grand. How much did he pay in gas for his minivan? Subtract that.
@Jon Dough of course he did. That's with the gas subtracted already.
Good!
I want to switch from trucking to this soon.
Thanks!

I am having a problem with the '120K per year'. If anyone is really making that kind of $$$ (even before expenses) please drop a comment.
We all know that is BS making 120k. If that was the case, everyone would be doing that. Maybe, you’d be making 1/3 of what he is claiming
My coworker makes over 120k doing this. I work less, and am at a lower pay rate but I work about 30-35 hours a week and I’m on track to make 70k for the year. I don’t think we are the norm but I will say some people will be able to do this. For most others it’ll be a 15-25 per hour job
Wait till you pay for gas wear and tear = small small profits
Let's do the math. It will easily take 60 to 80 hours to make $2500 a week. Of that expect 40% in taxes. About 15% in gas. Expect lots of wear and tear on your vehicle and most likely some repairs. Some of which will be tax deductions. Add everything up and of the 60-80 hours weekly you'll be making about $10 per hour.
You can write off the expenses tho
So you make about $7 an hour , you make more working minimum jobs flipping burgers all day lol
And some people are fine with that. Especially, when you set your own hours.

No employees to provide benefits for. I worked 60 hour weeks Mon-Fri. I burned out.

The simple minded don’t think about anything other than the grift. Reality is… harsh.
The issue is finding contracts with companies

@@economicdevelopmentplannin8715he didn’t ask that…
Most of this type of videos don't include net profit.
Very honest and straightforward sir. These information is very helpful and straightforward to the source. No one shares actual stuff.
Unfortunately reality tells you it’s impossible to make money easily unless you’re doing something different than others. Don’t fall for the same trap over and over and be unique.
People fall for the trap cause they don't want to do hard jobs, jobs like these get tons of applicants since most people find a job like this easier for them and their skill

58.5 does not include the cost of your time. It also doesn't account for the type of car you are using.

@@shadae68 the company is not accepting drivers in my area. If anyone sees another site like this for VA lmk
Just be sure your car is locked up
Well at night in a Guarage.

Hi, super Dave I have a question. Want to know in your opinion which job would be best for me because I have a bad back and the jobs you listed sounds great but I can't deliver items that are heavy like 25lbs or more but paper work and medical supplies or blood samples that I can do, So which company should I apply for . Thanks for this video, very interesting

Thank You Dave , looking forward to new career.👍
Note hipaa law provides no official hipaa certification process. Companies will sell such but they are unofficial...
