Thanks for the great video mate ,Mr Paydirt my nuts went up into my stomach ,which is getting further the older I get ,but when your messing with your grader tyre ,I know you have done countless times ,but a good mate of mine was a firefighter ,and was at the port of Brisbane working on a massive fork lift ,that moves shipping containers that had caught alight ,and the split rim and tyre gave away as he was standing nearby ,and was killed instantly in a horrific way ,so everyone please treat them with the respect they deserve ,ironically his name was Jeff as well ,rest in peace mate ,cheers from down under.
Damn it Jeff. I had a 10:00/22 split ring blow off and nail me in the kneecap many years ago. My a-hole puckers every time I see someone air one up. Got a bad case of split rim PTSD. Then you had to insert the "Boom" in the video. Nearly sh*t myself.
Jeff, that’s great! you just don’t get instructions on how to do things like that. Most of us just end up hopping on a machine and figuring it out. That’s how I learned to run excavators, dozers etc. haven’t done much on a grader, but always wanted to learn. Never understood why they had so many adjustments, and articulation. Thanks for a great explanation. Hope things pick up for you. I hate to see good people losing money for no fault of their own. If I still had my plane, I’d fly into your airstrip and say hi.
Excellent, excellent video sir. You caused me some anxiety when you were airing that tire up to reseat the rim/o-ring, tapping on it with a hammer. I recalled back when you and one of the boys were working on a scraper tire, and seeing the energy released when it finally set... Just makes me a bit uneasy watching it. Regarding commenting on "how I/we out here in the youtube world are doing". I am very fortunate/blessed to be able to live way out away from a large population, and can pretty much do what I please when I want, and don't have a small business that is shut down in the middle of the biggest economic boom in our history, so I cannot complain. In your comment about this having been quite a week/month, I sensed some dread, In fact I sensed a somberness in your voice as you narrated the 2 recent rock gathering/clean-up videos, and I hope all is well for you & yours. Learn how to do ditches at fort leonardwood miserable Missouri 1968 in winter time . Still cutting ditches and mud at 70 years old, what a life. Great videos you do,thanks
Great job on the irrigation ditch I do street reconstruction and sewer and water here in mn. Company I work for started 2 weeks ago lots of work have heard of some cities canceling contracts with some outfits my son works pipeline he has been working to so we feel very fortunate. Nice to see someone cut grade without GPS a lot of the younger guys reli on it too much when the GPS doesn't work you get to see who the real operators are. Stay safe and healthy 👍
Great video Jeff! It took me back to the years I worked for the state highway dept in Illinois. Laying out ditch grades and setting pipes for my maintenance crews Strictly cutting edge 1950's technology, my Ziess Ni2 level and wooden lathe. Gotta love it! Stay safe from the bug!!
I enjoyed the video Jeff. Us farmers are essential. So nothing really different other than going and getting parts. Call ahead and pick it up at the front door. I'm starting to getting used to not being able to BS with anyone!!!!
Fortunately I am retired. But locked down since March 15th and looking at May 15th before we are back to moving around. Life as we know has changed forever. But we will be better and stronger because of our trials. Thanks for your videos they are contributing to my positive outlook and somewhat sane approach to life.
Here in Southern Ohio it’s been wide open hauling limestone for concrete plants. The wife and kiddos are staying on our ponderosa and not venturing out at all. Lots of good home cooked meals! Great channel
Jeff , I too like me a good looking bottom, now & then… but all joking aside, that ditch is a beautiful piece of work. Great classroom portion, and great field classroom & narration session. This my second time viewing video.., yep I have no life. Thank you sir.
Been nice tutorial for a novice grader operator...this is a sweet time to get all these home shop projects done ..if I didn't need help to do them all I'd be wouldn't be so over wealmed to do them...cheers
As an aspiring blade hand I thoroughly enjoyed this Jefferson!! There's one guy in our county shop who would know this and in 7 years I've never been able to work with ner watch him run grader other than a distance, and he's about to retire!! As for the kung-flu........I've been very fortunate to be in the "essential" personnel folder during this process and have been working like business as usual. But we can't have two people in the same pickup, use the same equipment daily or as much as possible, no morning crew muster for job duties, and of course the social distancing measures still apply. Most all new construction in Central Oregon is still booming like Bend had exploded in the early 2000's with growth so it's good to see my local economy still thriving I guess.................even though I'd rather they were leaving lmao. However they've really jacked with the fishermen by closing all boat ramps as with campgrounds because you must "gather" to use them. Also there's talk of not having county fair this year because of this situation (as many othere states, counties, provinces, and countries) and I can't help but feel for the 4-H and FFA kids who can't sell their market animals now since they would've just purchased if they had beef critters to show, maybe even kids raising hogs depending on their respective fair times. My wife showed me a real cool post from Facebook that someone had posted a suggestion to all that if you are a person that purchases your meat on the hoof for butcher.........to consider making your purchase from a local 4-H or FFA member in 2020 who was also greatly affected by the kung-flu plague of intentional distribution...........I mean pandemic, dammit did I say that outloud.................everyone stay safe and stay healthy, I guess this UA-cam thing nowadays is pretty handy for quarantine victims to keep up with their best good channels and finding out some new ones
Great video. Learned ditch building with an old Galion while I was stationed in Guam in the Seabees as an Equipment Operator. WE built a new base and I did all the perimeter drainage work.
Scruffy 61 keep seeing your messages on the different UA-cam channels that I also follow..... they make good watching don’t they! Can’t remember the last time I watched the TV. 👍
@@ianwallett7438 nothing on tv that i want to watch. Yt is the closes thing to being there in person. Tv shows are all fake along with the news channels. Where are you from. Me i live in a small city in Wisconsin USA. You have a good day.
Doing well, family is well, working from home and loading up the wee excavator this afternoon to go relocate a couple trees from a very nice meadow this afternoon. Get them up to the burn pile and torch them saturday. Nice to have side work.
Hey buddy thanks for the shoutout! That’s awesome I feel like I’ve reached the big time now making the white board. Things have slowed down a bit here but hopefully it goes back to normal soon. That would help a ton of people! Great video as always! Best of luck in all this mess
I run a heavy haul trucking service in south central kansas and quite frankly it sucks right now. I have a 1956 D7 CAT that has once again saved the day doing some terrace and waterway work for a large farmer who wanted the work done before he planted corn. I cut ditches the same way only i use a CAT 112 that was new in 1947. Love your channel look forward to your videos each week.
Enjoyed the vid Jeff, locked down and laid off here in the uk, granddaughter was sent home from school with a fever and headache, five or more weeks ago, yep you guessed it, my sweetheart and I got the dreaded CV19.We’re through it now but scary stuff at one point.Hoping to get back to work next week.take care, stay safe.
So sorry to hear that Sir I'm glad she is doing much better now. I have been severely worried about my 6 year old son getting it because he was born with a hole in his heart and for the first 2 years of his life if he cried blood would start flooding into his lungs it was really really scary.
Hi Jeff . We are from NZ ,re the coved 19 our government shut all borders and put us in lock down three weeks ago I believe other week we will have constrution and loggers etc back working ,schools partly open no hotels restaurants cafes open maybe other Two or tree weeks . It has been hard shut down and will affect a lot of people but I believe we are on the right side of this . Say safe out there team . It's good getting these videos in lock down. It keeps us sane .
Thank you Dr. Ditch. Take your time to do it right (like she said). Lube it, keep it in the grove and apply pressure (18:55). Always learn a ton from you. Many thanks.
Hi Jeff, I am a civil engineering contractor in Nelson New Zealand, we have been parked up for the last month so no earthmoving , no pipe laying . But we maybe back working by the end of next week hopefully. So it's been catching up on the chores at home and working on my fast car so I can do some skids lol. Nice work on your canal with the grader, really like seeing guys that have the skill to get amazing results from their machine. Cheers.
And I thought I was the only one who didthat. And it always takes much longer to get it right than one first thought. How ever slowly one goes, its always a long way before I notice its wrong.
everyone needs to know how to cut vee ditch if they gonna run a blade! awesome teaching! with this current situation that is going on with be battling cancer, I am having to stay extra cautious about everything, the Drs forbid me from being around anyone while I am doing treatments. sucks because I work in highway heavy construction and it is considered essential..... I cope by getting out in my shop, when I feel like it, and tinkering with my machines, I felt decent yesterday, so I went down to mow at the cemetery and promptly got stuck! so much for an easy afternoon..... lol And I spend a lot of time watching y'alls vids, maybe you can work on that east TX accent that you was trying to teach me and Mr Frank in Vegas....... Stay safe sir.
I have been labeled as an essential employee. I work for the great state of ny. They have altered our work schedule. We have been broke up into three groups of around 7 employees each. Harder to get things done but I am still working and consider myself very fortunate.
Great work and nice lesson Jeff. Now do that with my old '52 knuckle buster #12... Talk about cussing & swearing... :) Power shift, hydraulics and articulation sure transformed motor graders over the years.
been grinding steel and ar400 on a 45inch by 156inch madison 1965 everyday here in ne ohio . i pray for the people that don't have the same luck. this has to end soon. GOD BLESS
Thanks for the video Jeff, very well explained. We have pretty much been shut down for the last 3 weeks with at least 1 more week before we can do work that’s not been essential.
I'm a backhoe owner operator in Dublin , Ireland and got shut down 3 weeks ago. Hope to be back working after May 5th. Interesting to see how you cut that ditch Jeff, Lotta skill and experience on show!. Pretty rare to see a grader used like that here in Ireland. Stay safe.
I wanted to thank you first for the grader work. It's by far my favorite piece of equipment to see working. As for fairing during all this shit going on, which is what we call it here in TX. Not Covid-19, That damn beer virus, freakin bat soup flu, or "how to kill an economy in three easy steps". Nope, just "all this shit going on". We are doing okay. I own a small contracting company, which is to say I hire crews to do small jobs between their typical larger jobs. I get some of the most capable people who show up on time and do the exact thing they promised. Had to shut that business down of course, but I'm keeping in contact and hopefully, we can stir some business up by June. My wife, however, is an ICU nurse and spends her workdays treating COVID patients. It's very risky and even more stressful. At this point, she's my only concern and legit reason to lose sleep about, as there will always be another way for me to make money. Well, I'm maybe concerned about my dog who hasn't fetched a bird all year, so no duck soup for us this year. Even the mailman is starting to look good to her Lab mentality. He might ought to get himself a faster truck. Any day now I expect her to show up at the door with part of a blue uniform or a tire from a USPS truck. Thanks for asking Jeff. I hope you guys are keeping the cabin fever at arm's length. Well, two arm's length. I'd ask for more 1693 videos or rebuilds on the service truck, but I'd really rather you be too damn busy moving dirt to make those other videos.
Nice lesson on ditch mak'n. Always wondered how them things got built. Hey ID12 strip. Only 346 naut. mi. from my hanger at RLD. Might have to make a fly in to say hi and drop parts. regards/greg
Jeff here in Rochelle the virus had very little effect. The farm land around here gives everyone a lot of room. Today two inches of snow. Yesterday temp 17 degrees. I worked on Kim's Cat 3406C giving some fuel. Now it's back on like it was before siding you back in the seat. Very good explaining cutting a ditch.
Hello Jay, Better days ahead. In Caterpiller vernacular, pulling the lock pin and kicking the saddle over is known as the "High Bank Slope Position". I traveled to Cat's proving grounds in Arizona to learn that. Fun trip in January. Regards
Life in AR its ok, about 50/50 dealing with people and the virus. We live on a mountain, Not closed in with persons around us. Got some CAT stickers ordered for my yellow Chevy truck.
Good video. I always enjoy when you explain the whats and whys of a project. Still farming here so my life has not changed much other than we are not socializing with friends in town right now. No haircut for 6 weeks so I'm starting to look like an old goat.
That machine is a real cortortionist. Always wondered what all those levers in the cab were for. I think you probably used all of them for this job. Oh yea I am all about a "good looking bottom" !
Great explanation on how that’s done! Southwest Nebraska here we are still working on highway construction projects. Things have changed for sure but no positive cases here that I’ve heard of. Hope all is well your way.
Good (early) Morning Jeff, Man between this video and the one with the IH and the ditch plow; these brought back a flood of training memories of my youth with my Dad and Grandfather running ditches here in Chandler and more specifically Scottsdale on our cotton, watermelon and alfalfa operations. I learned on an old Cat 12 grader. Those ratcheting control levers would wake me up big time in the early morning. I've got to be honest, I did a so so job. It really is an art with science all wrapped up together. My older brother and Dad were truly "Cat Skinners". Great video. As I've commented before on many other of your videos; YOU ARE A FANTASTIC instructor/ teacher! Lastly, love the camera angles ! EPIC! Warmest Regards from Arizona
Hey Jeff I'm from taumarunui new Zealand and am a general Engineer the lockdown has put a stop to everything at work except for making hydraulic hoses for the essential machinery that is still working been doing lots of firewood as its starting to get a little chilly now . Hope you and your family are well
Hey Jeff! Great vidja. Lets just say I would not be able to do an irrigation ditch w/a grader. Hope you and the fam stay safe. I live in MD and have been in social distancing for 5 weeks. I'm retired now so checks still coming in, but have been "emotional". Kinda like PTSD. Guess just seeing the losses is effecting me. I have been trying to talk people outta going crazy and such. It's a mental thing. Just going to buy gas you gotta figure it might infect yah. I'm not afraid to die, just dont wanna be there when it happens....Hospitals here are not even busy. I think the Task force are doing real well considering the magnitude of this problem. They really dont know allot of things about this virus but are learning daily. Really pisses me off that Pelosi and friends are holding up on PPP. I think 30% of business may go bankrupt. This too shall pass. Stay positive. Told my Dr. a script for sex 2x.week would cure what ails me and he said "good luck w.that".
Work is slower, but I think we’re good so far. Very cool video on the ditch, have tried to do some with the old 112, not as easy as you make it look! Hope you are are doing well
Tidy, especially as it's in the shop window. Water is your friend, but it won't run uphill ever! Was working flat out till Easter, been "work from home" 7 days now, wearing a bit thin. My guess is 1st June before we go back to work in uk, strange times. Stay safe, stay home, stay sane.
I put in a drainage ditch that looked similar to that, with a little 440 John Deere trackloader. Dug down level & flat, to a certain depth, put it to the side, when I got the bottom "close enough" I brought material back in, tapered to the center with one track running on the high side. Wasn't perfect, but it did stop water that ran down the hillside from running across the guy's new garage floor. I though a diverting berm, farther away from the building, would have been easier, but he didn't want that. All done by eye. "Get it close enough, the water will make it's own way" was his idea.
Great video Jeff, I'm amazed by what actually goes into something as simple as an irrigation ditch. And to answer your question, since I'm a mechanic and auto repair is 'essential industry', I'm still going to work almost like usual. It has slowed down quite a bit but still have some stuff going on. My wife is a teacher and has been home since the beginning but still working. Virtual schooling started this past Monday and seems to be working ok. (San Diego County) Have a great weekend sir!
No work at the Kentucky Truck Plant. Trying to get the list cut down in size Being safe. Stay safe Jeff. Thanks for showing how to cut a irrigation ditch. Man it sure looks good. 👍
Nice great content there Jeff. It was very informational, and interesting. I’ve been working a few days a week. I do asphalt paving and asphalt maintenance, working some but only essential stuff. Hopefully will go back too full swing soon. Stay safe there too Jeff.
It all makes sense now I was confused from your first video of this project. I thought it was a drainage ditch, not an irrigation ditch. That ditch of ditch deal is wild, you water rights states have some crazy stuff in that regards. I chuckled at your 1foot in 100 ft fall we don't have any ground flat enough for that. Most of my ground runs like 10ft in 100 and mine is flat compared to many. lol Hope this week is better for ya!
Hey there wonderful video, would you happen to have a diagram of how you put a crown into a gravel road as moving the gravel each pass in progression? Thanks for any help.
Good morning Jeff, Thank you for the video and explaining how you set up etc, funny enough I was watching an old wabco grader video and the information given was similar to what you’ve said !! Stay safe 👍😎🇬🇧.
Jpaydirt Good morning Jeff! Work for Cadburys as a yard jockey!! and it’s flat out, so lucky. Some poor people, just don’t know where it’s going to end so sad! You and your Family take care and stay safe!!👍😎🇬🇧
Hey bro, I follow you on UA-cam from Australia I dig your work it's awesome 👌 I like following guys like you to gain ideas I'm an operator my self always learning new tricks so keep the good work up maybe one day when I have the money I'll come over and give your vist roll with you for a week so be very good experience.
Hey Jeff. Great video as always and nice pointers to building a ditch. I am currently back home at the farm in north eastern Alberta, Canada continuing trade school over the net. We were going to get sent for work terms come next week with Finning Cat however with OPEC and Covid-19. Things have gone pretty south for work. Oil is in the tank so not much for iron running or needing to be fixed. So Finning is firing up another 2 months of online learning for us on engines. Glad to have that going as many trade schools have just cancelled classes for other apprentices. If she really gets bad I will probably head back to trucking for the summer to keep busy if there is still no work from our dealers.
Enjoyed this video and you speaking about bottoms, I just love a nice looking bottom. My wife is still working as she works in the food industry (for some reason people still need to eat) and for me well I am a senior citizen so nothing has changed there. We will know on Monday if they are going to ease some of the restrictions down here in NZ as we have had total lock down for 3 weeks which is working well. The daily new cases had dropped down to 8 yesterday. Anyway stay safe up your way bro
Sweet Willie here, We're doing fine here in North Dakota. The state is wide open for business. The W9 with 3406 CAT POWER is still dragging other people crap around. Have a nice day.
That was very impressive grading skills! We are holed up here in Florida at least until the end of this month maybe until middle of the next. Been off work but working some from home. I did have to go in for an emergency today for an hour or so. Other than that, we will be ok for a while. Hope things get smoothed out over your way soon... Hope to get out to see ya all this summer...
Ok I have never seen anyone cut the centreline that way. But the results speak for themselves.. I would've liked to see how you took your levels and where you and how you set your lazer up. I figure you got your fall when you graded the top of the ditch before you actually started. This is definitely going in the keeper file. Thanks Uncle... Learnt a few tricks (PS. Slowly clearing out the pantry of the bad stuff to start the big eating change. Thanks for the links too.)
Great video, Jeff. It would be good to use in a high school ag class where they teach about large machinery. Perhaps a series of all the equipment you use. Bulldozers, scrapers, loaders etc. Educational for the young people, and profitable for you. In any case, I learned a lot.
Im flatbedding with COTC we seem to be staying pretty busy even my twin and I occasionally go by on the 15... I live near Riverside Ca and he lives in Saint Helens OR. Our Granddad was a roadbuilder/cat skinner in southern Oregon he did most of his roadbuilding by eye he would be impressed said that he always wanted to learn on a grader but was happy on his D8
Working at a Cat dealer, we are designated essential services and have stayed busy. But things are feeling a little slim for this time of yr. Equipment isn't rolling out of the yard the way it did the last couple seasons.
Nice looking ditch!! Idk what psi you run in you tire but on the 140h I run 40 psi on ditch work. It rides a little rough but I've never popped the tire off the bead
Jeff, I'm never going to use the information that you just imparted to us but I feel better for knowing = ) Hope that you and yours are keeping safe and well. Regards from Vienna, Austria.
I own an "essential" business (autoglass repair and installation). We are still going, still keeping my employees paid. It was slow for a while but picking up now. I'd love to fly into Anderson International next time I'm out there in Idaho...
Some good tips here I'm putting in drainage ditches with a 9ft 3pl grader on a 310hp jcb fastrac Trying to get the sharp point out of the bottom of the ditch because we drive though them Not much change to life here in West Australia for us farmers They closed the state boarders so early the virus has had nearly no effect, 550 cases in a 1 million square mile state Still allowed to send freight over the boarders they just stopped the non essential travelers Sent 1200 sheep on a truck cross country last week

I'd say the "good looking bottom" is the most important thing!
Very sweet looking ditch, now that I'm old I have difficulties with my hard articulations too.
You can do it!
Your videos make the quarantine more bearable. Only left home to get groceries every two weeks. Thank you for the uploads Jeff. Stay safe.
My pleasure!
This took me back to the 1970's when we used to survey in feet and tenths of a foot. Man, when we went to metric it made life so easy ..... calculating in tenths of a foot is just so damn difficult in comparison. I can't believe imperial measurements are still in use.

Excellent, excellent video sir.

Like to watch your work. You gotta give Olivia a full time job with the white board. She did great!
Good idea!!
Here in Southern Ohio it’s been wide open hauling limestone for concrete plants. The wife and kiddos are staying on our ponderosa and not venturing out at all. Lots of good home cooked meals! Great channel
Jeff ,
I too like me a good looking bottom, now & then… but all joking aside, that ditch is a beautiful piece of work.
Thing are going good here.
Great lesson on making a ditch.
I take it you are loving your new yard space.
Yes I am!
Scruffy 61 I live in staffordshire UK.
Thinks for the video loved it and some good looking work
Doing well, family is well, working from home and loading up the wee excavator this afternoon to go relocate a couple trees from a very nice meadow this afternoon. Get them up to the burn pile and torch them saturday. Nice to have side work.
Great looking ditch ,not easy with the big grader .Thank you for showing us how its done . Take care ,stay safe , we will see ya later .
Thanks 👍
Hey buddy thanks for the shoutout! That’s awesome I feel like I’ve reached the big time now making the white board. Things have slowed down a bit here but hopefully it goes back to normal soon. That would help a ton of people! Great video as always! Best of luck in all this mess
Sup Brandon!
Erin said you were still staying busy, I hope this comes full circle on the media
Jpaydirt so far I am. I do too buddy they deserve it
I run a heavy haul trucking service in south central kansas and quite frankly it sucks right now. I have a 1956 D7 CAT that has once again saved the day doing some terrace and waterway work for a large farmer who wanted the work done before he planted corn. I cut ditches the same way only i use a CAT 112 that was new in 1947. Love your channel look forward to your videos each week.
I hear the rates are horrible
So if you have had it can't you go to work and do what ever you want?
Jpaydirt Theoretically yes, but the uk is not testing the general public and are not sure if we are now asymptomatic carriers.
Thanks Jeff , That is so damn interesting to me , Glad you put this out ! only a novice here , sometime I make more of a mess than I care to admit
Great video.
Stay safe and well.
Thank you Dr. Ditch. Take your time to do it right (like she said). Lube it, keep it in the grove and apply pressure (18:55). Always learn a ton from you. Many thanks.
Well said!
I feel ya on this being a tuff weak . I lost my dad one year ago this week. Love the videos and that's one sexy ditch u got there.
Know the difference between the governor of Michigan and the canal next to Jeff’s property?
One’s a busy ditch.
Cheers.
Well I am good at something I guess LOL
And I thought I was the only one who didthat. And it always takes much longer to get it right than one first thought. How ever slowly one goes, its always a long way before I notice its wrong.
enjoyed that its the reason I watch u on video ,working on the jobs and explaining what is what .Have fun with your Cats and look forward to next one.
everyone needs to know how to cut vee ditch if they gonna run a blade! awesome teaching! with this current situation that is going on with be battling cancer, I am having to stay extra cautious about everything, the Drs forbid me from being around anyone while I am doing treatments. sucks because I work in highway heavy construction and it is considered essential.....
I'll never get it down LOL
@@Jpaydirt we definitely got a different twang!!!!!!!
:) Power shift, hydraulics and articulation sure transformed motor graders over the years.
yup LOL
been grinding steel and ar400 on a 45inch by 156inch madison 1965 everyday here in ne ohio . i pray for the people that don't have the same luck. this has to end soon. GOD BLESS
Thanks for the video Jeff, very well explained. We have pretty much been shut down for the last 3 weeks with at least 1 more week before we can do work that’s not been essential.
I'm a backhoe owner operator in Dublin ,
Ireland and got shut down 3 weeks ago.
Hope to be back working after May 5th.
Interesting to see how you cut that ditch Jeff,
Lotta skill and experience on show!.
Pretty rare to see a
grader used like that
here in Ireland.
Thanks Jeff
Hello Jay, Better days ahead.
In Caterpiller vernacular, pulling the lock pin and kicking the saddle over is known as the "High Bank Slope Position". I traveled to Cat's proving grounds in Arizona to learn that. Fun trip in January. Regards
Great video. Like the how to of making the grader work for you. It’s amazing how much that 14 can move when it looks to be idling along
Yes it does!
Mrs Paydirt is my barber
Great skill on a job well done! Been blessed to have the acreage.
If you ever need help, I have previous grade checking experience 😉 Thanks for the white board shout out! 💗
And you did a fantastic job too, Mrs. E!
Hmmm.........Joplin to Blackfoot...........................what's that like 30 minutes? LOL
BurningDinosaurs thanks Wes! I mean 🔥 🦖 ! 😁
Jpaydirt in my private jet 😎
That machine is a real cortortionist. Always wondered what all those levers in the cab were for. I think you probably used all of them for this job. Oh yea I am all about a "good looking bottom" !
Great view of the ditch being built. We here in western South Dakota are doing well. Paper shortage is prety much over.
Great explanation on how that’s done! Southwest Nebraska here we are still working on highway construction projects. Things have changed for sure but no positive cases here that I’ve heard of. Hope all is well your way.
Good (early) Morning Jeff,
Man between this video and the one with the IH and the ditch plow; these brought back a flood of training memories of my youth with my Dad and Grandfather running ditches here in Chandler and more specifically Scottsdale on our cotton, watermelon and alfalfa operations.
Thanks Bruce
Hope you are are doing well
Well you know the story...............so ya
Good job, running a Grader is a great skill to have. It focuses the mind when inflating those big Tyers (U.K..Spelling)
Beautiful job Jeff.
Cheers
I'm all about the good looking bottoms!
Jeff looking good old fellow .man you have lost some weight! Think I have found it . Great job . Keep it up.
Thanks 👍
Thanks Jeff. Hope family is all ok.
Mantap 👍👍 skil tingkat dewa,,salam dari Indonesia 🇲🇨
Great video Jeff, I'm amazed by what actually goes into something as simple as an irrigation ditch. And to answer your question, since I'm a mechanic and auto repair is 'essential industry', I'm still going to work almost like usual. It has slowed down quite a bit but still have some stuff going on. My wife is a teacher and has been home since the beginning but still working. Virtual schooling started this past Monday and seems to be working ok. (San Diego County) Have a great weekend sir!
Call coatsie and tell him we need warmer weather LOL
Jpaydirt LOL, I’ll see what I can do
No work at the Kentucky Truck Plant. Trying to get the list cut down in size
Being safe. Stay safe Jeff. Thanks for showing how to cut a irrigation ditch. Man it sure looks good. 👍
Ya, one of my friends hauls engines to ford and he lost that
Nice great content there Jeff.
Stay safe 👍😎🇬🇧.
what are you doing? staying home or are you essential
Jpaydirt G
Jpaydirt Good morning Jeff! Work for Cadburys as a yard jockey!! and it’s flat out, so lucky. Some poor people, just don’t know where it’s going to end so sad! You and your Family take care and stay safe!!👍😎🇬🇧
My god there's so many similar adjustments on graders. I'd be so overwhelmed. Definitely something I'd want a class for before trying.
Great video! Appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Hey Jeff, great skill- you doing the work of three men. You deserve some isolation time.
Really informative video Jeff. I liked it very well,.
I would like to be holed up in Cancun
@@JpaydirtYup!
Great idea!
55
Great job
Jeff, I'm never going to use the information that you just imparted to us but I feel better for knowing = ) Hope that you and yours are keeping safe and well. Regards from Vienna, Austria.
I appreciate that
I own an "essential" business (autoglass repair and installation). We are still going, still keeping my employees paid. It was slow for a while but picking up now. I'd love to fly into Anderson International next time I'm out there in Idaho...
Hey bud! My washing business has slowed down about 25 percent but we are good as long as it doesnt get worse.
I like a good bottom too!
Some good tips here
I'm putting in drainage ditches with a 9ft 3pl grader on a 310hp jcb fastrac
Trying to get the sharp point out of the bottom of the ditch because we drive though them
Not much change to life here in West Australia for us farmers They closed the state boarders so early the virus has had nearly no effect, 550 cases in a 1 million square mile state
Still allowed to send freight over the boarders they just stopped the non essential travelers
Sent 1200 sheep on a truck cross country last week
