yeah it is,you can think quicksilver is cooler than flash while someone else thinks vice versa. Just because marvel made some movies doesnt mean the charachters are suddenly cooler. Look at batman then iron-man, green arrow and hawkeye, flash and quicksilver. mostly their personalities are very familiar. the only difference is dc is darker and serious while marvel is not

I love Superman. I am a huge comic book fan, DC and Marvel alike, but Superman is #1 in my book.
I hate it when Marvel fanboys say that Superman is OP along with the other DC heroes, when they have a giant green guy who gets stronger the angrier he gets, a guy with a magic hammer who barely loses in a fight, an overpowered copy of Darkseid, an overpowered copy of Deathstroke, a giant who consumes worlds, shall I go on.

So... Clark Kent (Kal-el) and Goku (Kakarot) were born in another planet, where each of their parents tried to prevent an apocalypse and no one listened, then their children were sent to another planet where they were adopted and teached to be good and finally years later they fought an enemy of their previous planet some of the same race (Zod and Broly) and others who were not very kind of their race (Brainiac and Frieza), no wonder why we wanted them to fight each other...
Fight beings based on their cells eg Bizarro and Cells, Metallo and Androids, Goku Black and Ultraman, Buu and Parasite.
To think Broly is more of Superman than Goku, Goku would be kind of like Zod minus he is good.
Superman is alright, sure he's overpowering but he's still alright.

Superman is for me the best DC-Hero and the Superhero of all Time, because his Superpowers are awesome, he is very smart, he has defeatet the very hard villians and he protect everything thats on the good side.
Superman was more then just a character. During world war II his comics were given to soldiers to keep up morale. Planes were painted with him on it for good luck. People actually believed in his ideals. If you read the superman biography about the rise of the character and the impact it has had on those times it is amazing how something like a comic character can influence our scociety.
Even a skinny Superman still has powers, as you can see in The Flashpoint Paradox.
And he is one of a few superheroes who can lift the Mjolnir.
He is the most powerful superhero in comics universe.
So, who's gonna beat Superman?

Superman has always been my favorite super hero. The Flash..running second. I also never missed an episode of Smallville when it ran. That was a great series! Just my opinion.

He can use all solar energy he has absorbed up to something similar as a bomb from within himself and destroys everything around him....and he loses all his powers until he has absorbed enough solar to recover his powers...which could take a few days I believe..

Thanks watchmojo for the redux, this character changed my life, I look up to him to this day, he's the reason I'm the good man I am today, I grew up without a father in my life he's the closest thing I had to a father and a male role model, he inspired me to stand up for myself when I was bullied in school as a kid, Christopher Reeves brought him into my life when I was 2yrs old when the original movie came out in 1978, I've been a comic,video games, movies geek to this day because of him, he's the greatest hero of all time, my hero and I'm keep being inspired by him til the day I die, THANK YOU MAN OF STEEL FOR BEING A HERO IN MY LIFE
All I want to say here is thanks for including my favorite Easter Egg clip from the 1986 movie, as Clark is running home racing the passenger train next to him, and a small girl sitting next to her mother is watching him with binoculars. The girl is the young Lois Lane, and her mother is played by Noel Neill, who played Lois opposite George Reeves in the 50s.

Superman is the only true great hero. By this, I mean he's a better person. Superman didn't need trauma to influence his heroic nature. He simply is motivated by his own abilities. Superman is a testament to all people. If you have the power to help, it's your responsibility to do so. He doesn't need dead parents or any real motivation other than being able to help. That's a true hero.

Over the years, Superman faced many villains in Metropolis. Including Lex Luthor, who became Superman's arch enemy. Superman has saved Metropolis from Lex Luthor, and other villains like General Zod, Brainiac, Bizzaro, Parasite, Matallo, and Doomsday.
Everyone should be a fan of Superman. :)
