I have a CB500 from 1998. I bought it at the start of the pandamic for €925 including a tankbag. I just LOVE this bike, very nice and eazy to ride, FUN, reliable and very fuel efficient.
Nice video, on the fuel tap, there’s a little hole on it. This is visible at 03:12 of the video and the hole is at the top. I was wondering is there a pipe attached to that as my dad and I are restoring his CB500 and when the engine shuts off, fuel spurts out of it for a second. Do you think it could be the rubber seal inside?
Might I suggest that it would be a good idea to flush out the cooling system, radiator, hoses engine etc and instal fresh coolant while you have gone this far also a good coat of High Temperature paint on the exhaust might help keep it from rusting up again! Thanks
Its an awesome bike. I had many starting issues these days, but i finally fixed the carburators. The main jet was stuffed with rust from the tank... was aweful. But now shes running like a queen. Thanks alot!
Hi! I used the Motul Mototcool expert mixed with water. Thanks for the comment! If you want more in deph information, just read an article in a cb 500 forum, these guys always have an awnser . Greetings from Germany
Hi! I don#t have turn signals installed at the moment. I can not tell if mine work or not. Either it's the Signal-relais, or all 4 of your signals are just broken. It could also be a wirebreak in your handlebar maybe? There are only few options what it could be. Still a very nice bike!
Well done mate. So you're really gonna sell her? Please tell the new owner that she will run forever and ever if taken good care to. Honda Design had some 300 kkm for target when developed. I like my CB500 more than my Harley bobber.
Let me also say that I'm taking my hat off for you - if I had one on - for this extraordinarily good documentation from Part 1 and ahead, I've seen them now. Such good, steady footage at that. I believe I've seen enough vids on YT to understand that 😊
@@hni7458 Thank you so so much! i have no words. Yes i am actually flipping those bikes! It's my hobby and i make some money off it. Bought this one with 47.000kms for 200€ ;). I am so glad you like my videos, you really made my day. thank you so much. The cb 500 is definetely an awesome bike, everybody sais that. Greetings

I have the same problem except that I have a fuel leak on that hole while the engine is running.

Hi! I have the same bike from 1995 but the turn signals are not working at all, do you have any tips what could be the problem?
