Please remember: this video is just my opinion, and there is a 0% chance that any champion will actually be removed from Paladins! And, if EM could find a way to rework these characters so they have extremely well designed kits, that would be great! As it stands though, I feel like the game has too much bloat and that it would be better off if all of these characters were never added in the first place.

And maybe 2 years later it shift from tank to damage, becoming the only champion that had been in every classes. Then another 2 years they bring back all previous versions of Moji, so you have 4 different Moji, one in each class, each with different old/new talents 😁

@@stopsliding8355 My guess the detonator was the controller aim assist. He had strong stats but you still needed to aim and deal with the strong recoil of his weapon. Then controller aim assist for PC happened and now the recoil and aiming parts were no longer an issue.
Ngl, I started playing the game less when the last five or so champions came out. Every time a new one was in the game, I would hop in, give them a try, unlock their talents and not touch the game until the next one. It just felt like I was playing a MOBA sometimes, the quick thinking simplicity of older champions just wasn't there anymore.
Hey im a lvl 230+ yagorath main personally i wouldn't remove her i mean she is my main lol but i will say i have managed to make yagorath work and this video definitely confirms one thing. How slept on her trail of acid pools are. This ability is actually extremely good not because it kills but is amazing for dismounting players by utilising yagoraths mobility like after a team wipe yago can dismount and boom a free 20 to 30% on capture points. Her worst ability is hardening it not only locks you in place but it also makes yago vulnerable due to being unable to attack so really its only used for burst damage. Idk how but i like her unique playstyle and i do think with her ult all it needs is to modify ult hp with range. Further= less hp etc. I do think they could do something to make yago feel better to play like reduce her lockout so she could move because right now even with 30% dr i feel like i can get shredded every game because of the amount of hp% attacks it shreds yag. agreed. yag is one of the most difficult characters to play on a high level and pretty fair imo all things considered. I agree that the ult should probably get a few tweaks. but it's not OP. the ult has a ceiling. you can only get ONE kill. and that's not even guaranteed. it's easier to kill with khan's ult in most cases. other ults can get triple kills. honestly this characters deserves buffs imo^^

Yag has the most unique PlayStyle of all characters not just with the tanks and her kit makes her one of the best flanks in the game .... "If it's a 1 on 1, always bet on Yagoroth"
The best rage line ive ever heard was some poor gold in my placements getting railed by a controller vivian player. It was something the effect of: "Its like raum and khan had a child and let oakmilk raise it", much funnier when a swedish child is screaming it icl 😂

Yagorath needs a rework on harden bcz it is a useless ability, acid pools rework while in travel form(maybe instead of that she should be able to shoot spikes like in planted form). Also make her planted form a bit faster cuz it takes too long to get to max speed. And if that proves too strong some hp/dr tweaks. Yagorath with a little care can become a better tank. Caspian needs his stun back honestly, it was part of his identity. It doesnt even have to last long, it disrupting the enemy was good enough. And his movement ability needs to carry momentum better. Slight Ult damage nerf. And his best talent is too disgustingly good compared to the other 2. Either needs to be removed or nerfed. I wish his sword talent was fun again.
Vatu's projectile need to be like Genji's, makes no sense how he's a squishy flank and has to get close otherwise one puny kunai is all you're landing.
Saati's coin could possibly be reworked to work like the coin in Ultrakill, where it explodes and deals big damage with high cooldown, as for Dead Ringer and Blast Back... I don't know...
I feel like saati and omen just has too much for the dmg class so if they get reworked some of thier abilities/mechanics should just be taken away and put on another character ...which in in all honesty is probably how they came up with saati and omens kit
Kasumi is like all the mechanics made in paladins but poorly made, imagine that it takes Moji or Seris half a year to reach the maximum marks, or that Zhin and Seris leave their bodies behind when they become invulnerable, imagine that Evie takes 3 seconds for her teleport works, that's all kasumi

i have an idea for a rework for yag's ult that could fix her looking over walls bs and keep the ult as cool as it is: the ult consists of 2 parts, a stunning close range roar to doom whoever is close enough to yagorath into certain death, and then the second part being yagorath making a mad dash towards her victim, essentially reversing how the ult works, in here you dont get dragged towards yagorath, yagorath comes to you directly. The animation for running in the second part would be the spiral crawl thing she does in the cinematics and one of her mvp poses Also would be a good idea to rework the point tank talent she just doesnt work for that, would be more fun to have something like "accelerate ramps up damage and refreshes duration the more enemies you hit"
I really don’t see why he hates on Lillith, I think she has an interesting mechanic and yes, she has a big blood pool but that’s why you need to play consciously to make sure not to overcast your abilities. I guess the descriptions could be somehow simplified but other than that I think she is a solid champion. Yago is also really unique and a great addition but she needs love as she has been abandoned by the devs for quite sometime. First of all, I would make her a bit smaller as she is way too much of a giant hit box of free damage atm

This video would be better if you would come with ideas how to revork those champions. I think that Moji revork kind of worked and the smaller revork like Kinessa, so if they would revork some of champions (not change their role) it would be amazing.
On Omen, another YT-ber called YellowNinja made a video talking about how he would rework Omen and I think he had some pretty good ideas, among others is for the shotgun to instead start with high accuracy and then ramp up into a shotgun, since most longer range, high accuracy weapons tend to be semi-fire, but then the shotgun would just be fully automatic instead

I havent Paladins in a hot minute and back when I did caut was still an item. I got a question for yall: do you think 90% caut makes sense? I was wondering if there was a point in caut being so high, considering that they now changed rejuvenate too. Idk wouldn't it be better to just lower it all together to like 75% max or just reducing the healing output across all the champs? Let me know ur thoughts!
Imo, saati could be more fun to play, if the removed knock back/up from her dash, instead giving it 2 charges per every ability activation, so you would have a... WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY where you get to use the dash second time for free. This way, you could dance around the enemy instead of sending them to space. Idk how to rework the rest of her abilities, maybe make the coin more of an Ashe dynamite ability, where you just shoot it once and it deals damage to the enemy in close range to the coin, or maybe make it so you could deploy multiple coins, and then the shot would ricochet between the coins multiple times, so you could set up the tripwires that would require an actual thought about throwing those coins around.
The fact that I stopped playing more than 2 years ago, and I was able to tell all champions you want to be removed with basically 100% accuracy says something. Including ones that were released after I quit.
Betty was such a big mistake, she was only made to fill a checklist, and when something is made with a checklist in mind, it almost always turns out underwhelming or terrible due to what that checklist cater towards.
I might be biased as a 200lvl yag main .. but she is THE only unique character that paladins has.. even I might argue that she is one of the most unique characters that hero-shooter genre has.. (not native..sorry for broken english)
I'll be giving ideas, I am not a 'value' guy Hardening: Reduce the damage reduction amount by a little, make so she gains increases healing received during that duration Trail of acid: Reduce it's cooldown.. 8 sec for literally no damage/ utility is insane Caustic spray: Reduce it's slowness amount and reduce max pool amount from 8 > 6 (reduction of max pools will decrease the lag amount) Acceleration: Reduce it's duration, increase max speed, reduce cooldown. or make so after hardening she will have it's cooldown reduced by some amount (talent or something?) Primal vision: Make primal vision for her own, when she using her primal vision, revealed enemies will take more damage from her only Form swap: increase cooldown to 1sec, make the switch animation itself take less time. Devour: first, give back the minimum distance. Use a ray-cast check for how far the target is, the more faraway the target will be the more health she will gain during devour. capped at current value. also reduce the max range heavily. trust me.. no one uses the max range devour on yag without wall abuse.

@@gametechbc2956And Hardening should either make Yag immune to dmg or provide some sort of utility. Characters like Yag usually have some sort of extra hp ability so they can go in and survive enough to get a kill and get out. You can see that concept in OW for the Hamster character or in Marvel Rivals for Venom. She either needs a mechanic like that or another solution. Maybe rework harden so that she she does a burst of dmg around her while providing herself with extra hp or dr, without locking her into an animation so she can do dmg. Might be a bit generic, but i can't think of anything else Also idk how broken/bad this would be, but I would like it if she could jump a bit higher while using travel, kinda like bouncing. Would be hilarious

Saati might not be fun to play against, but she feels like the last champion that had an actual gameplay idea behind her design. Speaking of Paladins 2, it could be interesting to turn characters into talents instead of bringing the entire roster into the game. Like, instead of Viktor, Tyra and Vivian, you get one and the others as talents for that character. Don't know how people would feel about that, and the only problem it solves is having the team stacked with too many similar characters. Could work for characters like BK and Betty or even Jenos and Omen. There are certainly abilities that are not fun to have in the game like any thing that just increases your fire rate for five seconds is stupid and annoying, the only actual good one being Ruckus' ult.
MY issue with Octavia is that Hi-Rez doesn't go all out or at least further with Octavia's status as a Damage that could act like an off-support. Sure, she has her choice of four passives and not one but TWO healing talents, but there is so much more. Especially since we already have quite a few off-supports with Cloak and Dagger Skye, Subservience Raum and while definitely irrelevant now, Snack Attack OR Toot Moji.
@@AndrewChicken fair, and albeit my comment was inflammatory. I stand to believe that a large majority of the cast on this list stand to fit said criteria. To the T or pretty close to it. And simply because there are functional characters that may fit the bill, I disagree that all the ones you’ve chosen are dysfunctional and/or problematic. And I would also say it doesn’t make my statement untrue. Constant calls for nerfs to healers no matter how balanced they are including recently Mal’damba which is a full 180 from previous ideas about the character simply because he is doing well. So if the characters strong against your character, we grant are dysfunctional. And all of the items that help those characters which aren’t even top tier or meta characters, are called for to be nerfed. And all including balanced healers are called for to be nerfed then this would lead me to believe said statement. because if we acknowledge the items and characters are the problem but even their supports are now problems because they heal them and stop you from getting a 2 second ttk in 2 shots with a flank it really seems overboard. I grant, you have called for torvald nerfs which he’s been undeniably strong for a long time. And that’s fair. You’ve also called for rei nerfs which I disagree, she isn’t overtuned but to each their own. But if the standard was being held equally why not call for the sha Lin removal. A character which takes a higher level of skill and aim to perform against flanks. That is extremely hurt by DR items and cards. But is broken and has been broken for a long time which you’ve mentioned due to poor optimization causing frame skips when charging his shots even on high end gaming computers. A character that is actually broken and not characters that just make it inconvenient to solo dive and instead utilize cover and timing between shots and reloading and team play to handily counter. Why is omen having a damage card problematic but his base damage being less than stellar okay. And why is it okay for vatu to have almost permanent uptime on his DR and cooldown resets. Omens issue when he was OP was partially his damage but that focus was entirely overplayed in comparison to which the amount of range he had with effective damage. But instead of fixing that or changing either of his crap talents he’d been gutted completely and the only thing he was given back was a shell of what he had before. Omen is not a difficult champion to balance especially if they stayed true in him being a shadow character to Jenos. Saati is another completely balanced unique and unbroken character that serves to my point having no purpose being on the ctrl+alt+dlt. List for removal from paladins other than she has a complete kit to protect herself and utilize something that not many champions have which is cover denial. Which by the way has never been the meta playstyle for her even when it was at its peak.

Again, if I wanted to do that, I'd be looking to put Torv, Rei, Sha Lin, Imani, Androxus, etc. into the ground. It's fallacious thinking, and I am correcting you on it now by saying that I do not, in fact, choose to ask for nerfs based on if they counter Evie. I don't even play Evie that much anymore. Please stop it. I also haven't done a full 180 on my opinions about Mal'Damba. My long-standing opinion has been that he is a perfectly capable support who doesn't need many buffs, and that the meta over-bloated and power crept supports need nerfs. Mal'Damba has gotten nothing but buffs over the past year, and the most recent buff has made him a meta support. All I have asked for is that this recent buff (the .5s cooldown buff on Mending Spirits) be reverted. I haven't asked for overwhelming nerfs, I just think that this recent buff was a step too far. Mal'Damba is also my favorite support, so it's not like there's favoritism here. If anything, reverting this change only hurts my Mal'Damba gaming experience! I'm not sure why you're bringing up Omen and Vatu because they haven't been mentioned up until this point, and you're putting words in my mouth. The reason why Omen's damage card is problematic is because cards shouldn't provide damage bonuses. It makes the character hard to balance. I'd rather he did 500 damage per shot and had no damage card, instead of what he does now. In regards to Vatu, it's not okay for him to have almost permanent uptime on his DR and cooldown resets. That's why I've asked for the following three changes: revert the damage buff (seriously, what were they thinking?), remove the damage reduction on his dash, and give him a reload animation cancel like all other flanks to make him feel more fluid to play. The last one would be a really small "buff" that would improve his quality of life immensely, and the other two would be straight nerfs. If EM does this, I think Vatu will be in a healthy state. Saati is just an obnoxious wench. Like I said in the video, all of her abilities are gimmicks, and not fun ones either. It doesn't matter if it's hard meta, it can still be really bloody annoying. Some designs just aren't good, and Saati's kit is one such design. Simple as that.

In my view there was a period where there were lots of nerfs called for to every class minus the flank class and in my opinion that’s been the most consistently strong class. I would disagree about calling for those specific character nerfs meaning that it isn’t the case. But I suppose if that’s the case calling for the specific character removal or nerfs doesn’t equal that you want to remove your character counters either. This in tandem with flanks strength that increased to be able to 2 or 3 shit backliners it seemed as though that’s the direction you wanted the game to go. I mentioned Omen and Vatu due to 1 omen being in the video and his damage card being a pain point even though his damage is poor as it is doing the same damage as rei as a base shot. But other characters have unholy amounts of DR like vatu and I picked vatu because he’s a flank that directly impacts a backliners effectiveness. As a dmg or a healer. But other character classes also impact this as well. I disagree about the power creep with the supports especially because many of them are so poor or lack luster now. And often very niche. And so that same way that Mal’damba isn’t stellar because the other healers are good the same is the case because the other healers are bad. He isn’t scratching mojo’s level of strength. But I can agree to disagree on that point and retract my other statements.
I can’t believe that you said my mains Octavia and Vivian should be removed from the game! They have a very complex style of gameplay revolving around finding the right position to shoot from, picking the correct targets to shoot at, making sure to hit the right enemy, and using your abilities effectively to keep yourself safe when you get shot at. Though I can see why a new player like yourself wouldn’t recognize such complexities!
Yeah i've recently picked up Octavia and she's very fun to play. Third talent is my favourite and the commander passive is a good boost to the team. I never feel like i'm not ready for a situation. I have all damage ranges to play with that aren't clunky like VII
I don't know if you've played smite but Betty ult is a 3D movement 1:1 of Danzaburou ult. He gets in a rocket and steers it towards enemies stunning and damaging on impact...
Okay, not going to lie, I believe Betty's ultimate is one of the (if not the one) most jank ability in the game. Simply because the visual updates can't keep up with her in the server, it's too unpredictable and sometimes the sound effects don't go off for her rocket flying away. I also used to believe that ultimate left Betty with like 150 health points but that was a freaking lie! If it worked more like Drogoz ultimate with less range and velocity it would improve a little bit.
Kasumi is actually a lot of fun now and arguably not badly designed anymore with haunted ground, they need to put it in base kit it's the only way she gets to be unique in playstyle. Still annoying to play agaisnt though

Conversely VII is my favorite character because of his mobility. Its hard for me to agree with nerfs as i dropped talos for VII. I really like Omen specifically for the shotgun and the powerslide. I like jenos, so dps jenos was an instant buy for me. That fact that i can run up and kill damn near anyone is sick. Octavia is an interesting one, as i like the idea of modular passives and abilities to cheat a gun fight. The execution could be better.
i'm gonna be the annoyingly positive one saying i find good things in pretty much every champion. The one that I come closest to wanting removed is Kasumi but if they gave up on the targeting cone mechanic and just made her a regular hitscan or projectile she would be fine
I got a better idea, make the 60th character be Mr.Random. A chisled man with a question mark on his face wearing a tuxedo and he does what you think he does. Makes you select a random character, has a gold skin if you level up with him (as in choosing him over a character). A good end to the roster and not leave it hanging with 59 (obviously we can have more characters but not having a proper 60 is triggering.
Shortly, more champions are always better for a game like Paladins. I agree with the fact that they should not add more right now (as they have done for a year) because the balance is getting out of hand. I think they should keep balancing them, but with some order. But to get the game up to its good days, it needs to keep pace with new games. If they do that, we will see. But especially ultimates seem very boring. There are no big champion animations and no third-person for Tyra/Vivian/Nessa's ultimate, for example... and some abilities seem boring too, mostly because of a lack of or laggy animations. But besides looks, I think buffing all weaker ultimates or (if needed) fun abilities of champions with already strong ultimates would make it a lot more fun. But as a whole, I think they do it well for what they're doing. What I want to say is if they should do something else, they should just make Paladins 2 with a new engine and new features, not deleting champions.
this is just 1 opinion, no need to be mad. I would remove caspian (just boring), evie (too reliant on 1 attacking move, makes for boring gameplay), betty (more boring dredge), lian (very boring and uninspired moveset), lillith (underwhelming, low impact), maeve (worse vatu with dumb accent), vivian (somehow more boring viktor), willow (less fun drogoz) and ying (promotes low interaction gameplay). and like it or not, yagorath is one of the most unique characters ever. and very skill-demanding (dare I say underpowered) on a high level
If you find caspian boring you just havent played him enough or have no idea how to. Evie with wormhole talent is indeed kinda boring, without it her gameplay becomes a bit more dynamic. And Lilith used to be very strong, but too spammy for my liking. Idk if she still is now after they tampered with her.
@@mirius4665 it's once again, just an opinion. I haven't played caspian but I watched gameplay and got the character explained to me. I find his moveset boring. I like evie and I wish I was better but 2 movement abilities + 1 defensive ability that only says "wait till I get 1 of my movement abilities back" + a slow projectile is just a very frustrating character to play as and annoying to play against.
How I'd fix Octavia's passive. She has a series of quests she can fulfill during the match. The passive can be selected when she fulfills its associated quest. Simple. Adds to her as a champ. Steal the idea right from HOTS's ability quests.
Honestly the only character i would actually want to be removed is Skye, but im probably just coping because she annoys me to an outrageous degree every game
I think it's okay to have champions with spammable brain dead abilities. They are perfect fit for new players, or low-skill people, or even abuser are also players. It may not be enjoyable all the times, but the cons make the pros stand out. After all, the game is a products and it won't fit everyone taste, but if too few people play it will be hard to maintain and expand its content
I'm gonna throw an odd ball saying Andro, but not for the reason you'd think, every time they rework a talent of his, he somehow manages to have a Broken talent that then gets nerfed, give him an edge and he goes a mile, I don't know how he manages that
Honestly I would delete drogoz he is either completely countered so he can't do anything or he has no counters in the enemy team and he is too oppressive.
Kinessa, Strix, Dredge, Betty. Well, maybe don't remove them, but nerf to the point of being useful only in specific team comps. I agree that Vivian and Octavia are really bland and nobody would notice a thing if they got deleted. The rest are fixable with a rework, and some are in a pretty good place right now, IMO (Lilith and VII seem ok this patch)
Yago is as balanced as she can be right now, but that isn't saying much. She was too powerful at release, then they over-nerfed her, but then brought her back up just enough to be viable without making her overwhelming in most scenarios in *balanced* lobbies. The problem is that when the game doesn't have a balanced lobby, and someone who's good at her is matched up against Bronze through low Plat players, they're nearly unkillable and it ruins the match. That's the biggest justification for disliking her. She's an abomination with bizarre design choices. Her kit is counter intuitive and she shouldn't be in this game. But I love her and I haven't stopped using her since her release.

Noone will agree with me but hear me out: I would remove Evie and Maeve because those champions cannot be played by everyone and when someone is good with them, enemy team is cooked. I AGREEE Evie should not exist she can disrupt a whole game and not get punished if her team is decent in covering her, blink does not even make sense for a "Ice Sorceress" and Maeve is fine ish i haven't ever gone against a pounce beast to say anything about that, i agree with the snipers aswell nothing angers me more than getting sniped by a coward because i turned my back to defend a flank side by her team with Khan and she/he only gets me because they waited long enough.
I feel like they missed the mark on Nyx. Why doesn't she use her chains for god's sake? She should swing them around instead of making boom boom punches that make no sense to be semi-ranged. Why does she have poison? She summons a poison field and upon reactivation chains? What's the reasoning behind it? Her rift has the worst hitbox in the game. Why is her ultimate just stomp stomp boom and not using her CHAINS? Also delete Talus, he's comparatively boring to Vivian and even more annoying.
I'd probably remove Kasumi, VII, Vivian, Tyra, 1 of the snipers (combine them to Strix weapon and Kinessa mobility), Koga and maybe betty- DO NOT EVER remove Drogoz, BK, Vatu, Evie, Ruckus, Makoa, Azaan, Barik, Pip or Damba, they are perfection of skill expression combined with being balanced and offering counterplay
@@zzzhin9501 snipers do not counter each other, just pick any mobility based flank and they are screwed. Same goes for most off tanks as well as Tiberius and Sha Lin to some extent. There is no risk of a sniper meta currently
I think they should at least rework Omen's voicelines. His voice just doesn't fit his character and it sounds like he's purposefully trying to be edgy and cool when lore wise he's somewhat of a tragic character that turned to the Abyss as a way to get revenge.
Yikes the detailed explanation at the beginning makes me feel like you know your audience is a bunch of children that hardly understand english or any sense of a joke. However thats pretty accurate if its anything like ive seen this week playing paladins. I need a break from this game, to many people sit in spawn sweating out their anxiety over a keyboard instead of playing. We need a way to delete chat from existing, I dont see why hi-rez forces us to listen to other people during a match. I havent seen it been used in a useful manner yet and im account level 421.
I think most of the champions you mentioned were designed for console players because the best champs are extremely hard to play with controller ie drogoz, evie, bombking, Maeve..at a high level of course

Please remember: this video is just my opinion, and there is a 0% chance that any champion will actually be removed from Paladins! And, if EM could find a way to rework these characters so they have extremely well designed kits, that would be great! As it stands though, I feel like the game has too much bloat and that it would be better off if all of these characters were never added in the first place.

@@stopsliding8355 My guess the detonator was the controller aim assist. He had strong stats but you still needed to aim and deal with the strong recoil of his weapon. Then controller aim assist for PC happened and now the recoil and aiming parts were no longer an issue.

Ngl, I started playing the game less when the last five or so champions came out.
Every time a new one was in the game, I would hop in, give them a try, unlock their talents and not touch the game until the next one. It just felt like I was playing a MOBA sometimes, the quick thinking simplicity of older champions just wasn't there anymore.
Hey im a lvl 230+ yagorath main personally i wouldn't remove her i mean she is my main lol but i will say i have managed to make yagorath work and this video definitely confirms one thing.
How slept on her trail of acid pools are. This ability is actually extremely good not because it kills but is amazing for dismounting players by utilising yagoraths mobility like after a team wipe yago can dismount and boom a free 20 to 30% on capture points.
Her worst ability is hardening it not only locks you in place but it also makes yago vulnerable due to being unable to attack so really its only used for burst damage.
Idk how but i like her unique playstyle and i do think with her ult all it needs is to modify ult hp with range. Further= less hp etc.
I do think they could do something to make yago feel better to play like reduce her lockout so she could move because right now even with 30% dr i feel like i can get shredded every game because of the amount of hp% attacks it shreds yag.

agreed. yag is one of the most difficult characters to play on a high level and pretty fair imo all things considered. I agree that the ult should probably get a few tweaks. but it's not OP. the ult has a ceiling. you can only get ONE kill. and that's not even guaranteed. it's easier to kill with khan's ult in most cases. other ults can get triple kills. honestly this characters deserves buffs imo^^

Yagorath needs a rework on harden bcz it is a useless ability, acid pools rework while in travel form(maybe instead of that she should be able to shoot spikes like in planted form). Also make her planted form a bit faster cuz it takes too long to get to max speed. And if that proves too strong some hp/dr tweaks. Yagorath with a little care can become a better tank.
Caspian needs his stun back honestly, it was part of his identity. It doesnt even have to last long, it disrupting the enemy was good enough. And his movement ability needs to carry momentum better. Slight Ult damage nerf. And his best talent is too disgustingly good compared to the other 2. Either needs to be removed or nerfed. I wish his sword talent was fun again.
Vatu's projectile need to be like Genji's, makes no sense how he's a squishy flank and has to get close otherwise one puny kunai is all you're landing.

i have an idea for a rework for yag's ult that could fix her looking over walls bs and keep the ult as cool as it is:
the ult consists of 2 parts, a stunning close range roar to doom whoever is close enough to yagorath into certain death, and then the second part being yagorath making a mad dash towards her victim, essentially reversing how the ult works, in here you dont get dragged towards yagorath, yagorath comes to you directly. The animation for running in the second part would be the spiral crawl thing she does in the cinematics and one of her mvp poses
Also would be a good idea to rework the point tank talent she just doesnt work for that, would be more fun to have something like "accelerate ramps up damage and refreshes duration the more enemies you hit"

I really don’t see why he hates on Lillith, I think she has an interesting mechanic and yes, she has a big blood pool but that’s why you need to play consciously to make sure not to overcast your abilities. I guess the descriptions could be somehow simplified but other than that I think she is a solid champion. Yago is also really unique and a great addition but she needs love as she has been abandoned by the devs for quite sometime. First of all, I would make her a bit smaller as she is way too much of a giant hit box of free damage atm

This video would be better if you would come with ideas how to revork those champions. I think that Moji revork kind of worked and the smaller revork like Kinessa, so if they would revork some of champions (not change their role) it would be amazing.
On Omen, another YT-ber called YellowNinja made a video talking about how he would rework Omen and I think he had some pretty good ideas, among others is for the shotgun to instead start with high accuracy and then ramp up into a shotgun, since most longer range, high accuracy weapons tend to be semi-fire, but then the shotgun would just be fully automatic instead

I havent Paladins in a hot minute and back when I did caut was still an item. I got a question for yall: do you think 90% caut makes sense? I was wondering if there was a point in caut being so high, considering that they now changed rejuvenate too. Idk wouldn't it be better to just lower it all together to like 75% max or just reducing the healing output across all the champs? Let me know ur thoughts!

Imo, saati could be more fun to play, if the removed knock back/up from her dash, instead giving it 2 charges per every ability activation, so you would have a... WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY where you get to use the dash second time for free. This way, you could dance around the enemy instead of sending them to space. Idk how to rework the rest of her abilities, maybe make the coin more of an Ashe dynamite ability, where you just shoot it once and it deals damage to the enemy in close range to the coin, or maybe make it so you could deploy multiple coins, and then the shot would ricochet between the coins multiple times, so you could set up the tripwires that would require an actual thought about throwing those coins around.
The fact that I stopped playing more than 2 years ago, and I was able to tell all champions you want to be removed with basically 100% accuracy says something. Including ones that were released after I quit.
Betty was such a big mistake, she was only made to fill a checklist, and when something is made with a checklist in mind, it almost always turns out underwhelming or terrible due to what that checklist cater towards.
I might be biased as a 200lvl yag main .. but she is THE only unique character that paladins has.. even I might argue that she is one of the most unique characters that hero-shooter genre has..

Hardening: Reduce the damage reduction amount by a little, make so she gains increases healing received during that duration
Trail of acid: Reduce it's cooldown.. 8 sec for literally no damage/ utility is insane
Caustic spray: Reduce it's slowness amount and reduce max pool amount from 8 > 6 (reduction of max pools will decrease the lag amount)
Acceleration: Reduce it's duration, increase max speed, reduce cooldown. or make so after hardening she will have it's cooldown reduced by some amount (talent or something?)
Primal vision: Make primal vision for her own, when she using her primal vision, revealed enemies will take more damage from her only
Form swap: increase cooldown to 1sec, make the switch animation itself take less time.
Devour: first, give back the minimum distance. Use a ray-cast check for how far the target is, the more faraway the target will be the more health she will gain during devour. capped at current value. also reduce the max range heavily. trust me.. no one uses the max range devour on yag without wall abuse.

Characters like Yag usually have some sort of extra hp ability so they can go in and survive enough to get a kill and get out. You can see that concept in OW for the Hamster character or in Marvel Rivals for Venom. She either needs a mechanic like that or another solution. Maybe rework harden so that she she does a burst of dmg around her while providing herself with extra hp or dr, without locking her into an animation so she can do dmg. Might be a bit generic, but i can't think of anything else

Saati might not be fun to play against, but she feels like the last champion that had an actual gameplay idea behind her design.
Speaking of Paladins 2, it could be interesting to turn characters into talents instead of bringing the entire roster into the game. Like, instead of Viktor, Tyra and Vivian, you get one and the others as talents for that character. Don't know how people would feel about that, and the only problem it solves is having the team stacked with too many similar characters. Could work for characters like BK and Betty or even Jenos and Omen.
There are certainly abilities that are not fun to have in the game like any thing that just increases your fire rate for five seconds is stupid and annoying, the only actual good one being Ruckus' ult.
MY issue with Octavia is that Hi-Rez doesn't go all out or at least further with Octavia's status as a Damage that could act like an off-support. Sure, she has her choice of four passives and not one but TWO healing talents, but there is so much more. Especially since we already have quite a few off-supports with Cloak and Dagger Skye, Subservience Raum and while definitely irrelevant now, Snack Attack OR Toot Moji.

@@AndrewChicken fair, and albeit my comment was inflammatory. I stand to believe that a large majority of the cast on this list stand to fit said criteria. To the T or pretty close to it. And simply because there are functional characters that may fit the bill, I disagree that all the ones you’ve chosen are dysfunctional and/or problematic. And I would also say it doesn’t make my statement untrue. Constant calls for nerfs to healers no matter how balanced they are including recently Mal’damba which is a full 180 from previous ideas about the character simply because he is doing well. So if the characters strong against your character, we grant are dysfunctional. And all of the items that help those characters which aren’t even top tier or meta characters, are called for to be nerfed. And all including balanced healers are called for to be nerfed then this would lead me to believe said statement. because if we acknowledge the items and characters are the problem but even their supports are now problems because they heal them and stop you from getting a 2 second ttk in 2 shots with a flank it really seems overboard.
I grant, you have called for torvald nerfs which he’s been undeniably strong for a long time. And that’s fair. You’ve also called for rei nerfs which I disagree, she isn’t overtuned but to each their own. But if the standard was being held equally why not call for the sha Lin removal. A character which takes a higher level of skill and aim to perform against flanks. That is extremely hurt by DR items and cards. But is broken and has been broken for a long time which you’ve mentioned due to poor optimization causing frame skips when charging his shots even on high end gaming computers. A character that is actually broken and not characters that just make it inconvenient to solo dive and instead utilize cover and timing between shots and reloading and team play to handily counter.
Why is omen having a damage card problematic but his base damage being less than stellar okay. And why is it okay for vatu to have almost permanent uptime on his DR and cooldown resets. Omens issue when he was OP was partially his damage but that focus was entirely overplayed in comparison to which the amount of range he had with effective damage. But instead of fixing that or changing either of his crap talents he’d been gutted completely and the only thing he was given back was a shell of what he had before. Omen is not a difficult champion to balance especially if they stayed true in him being a shadow character to Jenos.
Saati is another completely balanced unique and unbroken character that serves to my point having no purpose being on the ctrl+alt+dlt. List for removal from paladins other than she has a complete kit to protect herself and utilize something that not many champions have which is cover denial. Which by the way has never been the meta playstyle for her even when it was at its peak.

I also haven't done a full 180 on my opinions about Mal'Damba. My long-standing opinion has been that he is a perfectly capable support who doesn't need many buffs, and that the meta over-bloated and power crept supports need nerfs. Mal'Damba has gotten nothing but buffs over the past year, and the most recent buff has made him a meta support. All I have asked for is that this recent buff (the .5s cooldown buff on Mending Spirits) be reverted. I haven't asked for overwhelming nerfs, I just think that this recent buff was a step too far. Mal'Damba is also my favorite support, so it's not like there's favoritism here. If anything, reverting this change only hurts my Mal'Damba gaming experience!
I'm not sure why you're bringing up Omen and Vatu because they haven't been mentioned up until this point, and you're putting words in my mouth. The reason why Omen's damage card is problematic is because cards shouldn't provide damage bonuses. It makes the character hard to balance. I'd rather he did 500 damage per shot and had no damage card, instead of what he does now.
In regards to Vatu, it's not okay for him to have almost permanent uptime on his DR and cooldown resets. That's why I've asked for the following three changes: revert the damage buff (seriously, what were they thinking?), remove the damage reduction on his dash, and give him a reload animation cancel like all other flanks to make him feel more fluid to play. The last one would be a really small "buff" that would improve his quality of life immensely, and the other two would be straight nerfs. If EM does this, I think Vatu will be in a healthy state.
Saati is just an obnoxious wench. Like I said in the video, all of her abilities are gimmicks, and not fun ones either. It doesn't matter if it's hard meta, it can still be really bloody annoying. Some designs just aren't good, and Saati's kit is one such design. Simple as that.

In my view there was a period where there were lots of nerfs called for to every class minus the flank class and in my opinion that’s been the most consistently strong class. I would disagree about calling for those specific character nerfs meaning that it isn’t the case. But I suppose if that’s the case calling for the specific character removal or nerfs doesn’t equal that you want to remove your character counters either.
This in tandem with flanks strength that increased to be able to 2 or 3 shit backliners it seemed as though that’s the direction you wanted the game to go.
I mentioned Omen and Vatu due to 1 omen being in the video and his damage card being a pain point even though his damage is poor as it is doing the same damage as rei as a base shot. But other characters have unholy amounts of DR like vatu and I picked vatu because he’s a flank that directly impacts a backliners effectiveness. As a dmg or a healer. But other character classes also impact this as well.
I disagree about the power creep with the supports especially because many of them are so poor or lack luster now. And often very niche. And so that same way that Mal’damba isn’t stellar because the other healers are good the same is the case because the other healers are bad. He isn’t scratching mojo’s level of strength. But I can agree to disagree on that point and retract my other statements.

They have a very complex style of gameplay revolving around finding the right position to shoot from, picking the correct targets to shoot at, making sure to hit the right enemy, and using your abilities effectively to keep yourself safe when you get shot at. Though I can see why a new player like yourself wouldn’t recognize such complexities!
Yeah i've recently picked up Octavia and she's very fun to play. Third talent is my favourite and the commander passive is a good boost to the team. I never feel like i'm not ready for a situation. I have all damage ranges to play with that aren't clunky like VII

I don't know if you've played smite but Betty ult is a 3D movement 1:1 of Danzaburou ult. He gets in a rocket and steers it towards enemies stunning and damaging on impact...
Okay, not going to lie, I believe Betty's ultimate is one of the (if not the one) most jank ability in the game. Simply because the visual updates can't keep up with her in the server, it's too unpredictable and sometimes the sound effects don't go off for her rocket flying away. I also used to believe that ultimate left Betty with like 150 health points but that was a freaking lie! If it worked more like Drogoz ultimate with less range and velocity it would improve a little bit.

Shortly, more champions are always better for a game like Paladins. I agree with the fact that they should not add more right now (as they have done for a year) because the balance is getting out of hand. I think they should keep balancing them, but with some order.
But to get the game up to its good days, it needs to keep pace with new games. If they do that, we will see. But especially ultimates seem very boring. There are no big champion animations and no third-person for Tyra/Vivian/Nessa's ultimate, for example... and some abilities seem boring too, mostly because of a lack of or laggy animations. But besides looks, I think buffing all weaker ultimates or (if needed) fun abilities of champions with already strong ultimates would make it a lot more fun.
But as a whole, I think they do it well for what they're doing. What I want to say is if they should do something else, they should just make Paladins 2 with a new engine and new features, not deleting champions.

I think they should add alacrity into base kit for lian and rework that talent fully maybe give it 2 charges of grace and now it deals 450 damage
this is just 1 opinion, no need to be mad. I would remove caspian (just boring), evie (too reliant on 1 attacking move, makes for boring gameplay), betty (more boring dredge), lian (very boring and uninspired moveset), lillith (underwhelming, low impact), maeve (worse vatu with dumb accent), vivian (somehow more boring viktor), willow (less fun drogoz) and ying (promotes low interaction gameplay).
and like it or not, yagorath is one of the most unique characters ever. and very skill-demanding (dare I say underpowered) on a high level
If you find caspian boring you just havent played him enough or have no idea how to. Evie with wormhole talent is indeed kinda boring, without it her gameplay becomes a bit more dynamic. And Lilith used to be very strong, but too spammy for my liking. Idk if she still is now after they tampered with her.
@@mirius4665 it's once again, just an opinion. I haven't played caspian but I watched gameplay and got the character explained to me. I find his moveset boring. I like evie and I wish I was better but 2 movement abilities + 1 defensive ability that only says "wait till I get 1 of my movement abilities back" + a slow projectile is just a very frustrating character to play as and annoying to play against.
I just noticed IIV just need his grapple removed and make his alt firing modes his abilities then switch him to dmg
How I'd fix Octavia's passive. She has a series of quests she can fulfill during the match. The passive can be selected when she fulfills its associated quest. Simple. Adds to her as a champ. Steal the idea right from HOTS's ability quests.

I think it's okay to have champions with spammable brain dead abilities. They are perfect fit for new players, or low-skill people, or even abuser are also players. It may not be enjoyable all the times, but the cons make the pros stand out. After all, the game is a products and it won't fit everyone taste, but if too few people play it will be hard to maintain and expand its content
I'm gonna throw an odd ball saying Andro, but not for the reason you'd think, every time they rework a talent of his, he somehow manages to have a Broken talent that then gets nerfed, give him an edge and he goes a mile, I don't know how he manages that
Honestly I would delete drogoz he is either completely countered so he can't do anything or he has no counters in the enemy team and he is too oppressive.

I agree that Vivian and Octavia are really bland and nobody would notice a thing if they got deleted.
The rest are fixable with a rework, and some are in a pretty good place right now, IMO (Lilith and VII seem ok this patch)
Yago is as balanced as she can be right now, but that isn't saying much. She was too powerful at release, then they over-nerfed her, but then brought her back up just enough to be viable without making her overwhelming in most scenarios in *balanced* lobbies.
The problem is that when the game doesn't have a balanced lobby, and someone who's good at her is matched up against Bronze through low Plat players, they're nearly unkillable and it ruins the match. That's the biggest justification for disliking her.
She's an abomination with bizarre design choices. Her kit is counter intuitive and she shouldn't be in this game. But I love her and I haven't stopped using her since her release.
I can't lie this feels more like a "I've given up" with these characters rather than a here's what we should do. I knoe that's the point of the video but damn does it suck 😢

Noone will agree with me but hear me out: I would remove Evie and Maeve because those champions cannot be played by everyone and when someone is good with them, enemy team is cooked. Almost 90% players who pick these two champions are sooo bad, ruining the entire team!
Also, I would remove snipers. Probably the most unbalanced sh*t ever added to Paladins.
I AGREEE Evie should not exist she can disrupt a whole game and not get punished if her team is decent in covering her, blink does not even make sense for a "Ice Sorceress" and Maeve is fine ish i haven't ever gone against a pounce beast to say anything about that, i agree with the snipers aswell nothing angers me more than getting sniped by a coward because i turned my back to defend a flank side by her team with Khan and she/he only gets me because they waited long enough.

I feel like they missed the mark on Nyx. Why doesn't she use her chains for god's sake? She should swing them around instead of making boom boom punches that make no sense to be semi-ranged. Why does she have poison? She summons a poison field and upon reactivation chains? What's the reasoning behind it? Her rift has the worst hitbox in the game. Why is her ultimate just stomp stomp boom and not using her CHAINS? Also delete Talus, he's comparatively boring to Vivian and even more annoying.

I'd probably remove Kasumi, VII, Vivian, Tyra, 1 of the snipers (combine them to Strix weapon and Kinessa mobility), Koga and maybe betty- DO NOT EVER remove Drogoz, BK, Vatu, Evie, Ruckus, Makoa, Azaan, Barik, Pip or Damba, they are perfection of skill expression combined with being balanced and offering counterplay

@@zzzhin9501 snipers do not counter each other, just pick any mobility based flank and they are screwed. Same goes for most off tanks as well as Tiberius and Sha Lin to some extent. There is no risk of a sniper meta currently
I think they should at least rework Omen's voicelines. His voice just doesn't fit his character and it sounds like he's purposefully trying to be edgy and cool when lore wise he's somewhat of a tragic character that turned to the Abyss as a way to get revenge.

However thats pretty accurate if its anything like ive seen this week playing paladins. I need a break from this game, to many people sit in spawn sweating out their anxiety over a keyboard instead of playing. We need a way to delete chat from existing, I dont see why hi-rez forces us to listen to other people during a match. I havent seen it been used in a useful manner yet and im account level 421.

I think most of the champions you mentioned were designed for console players because the best champs are extremely hard to play with controller ie drogoz, evie, bombking, Maeve..at a high level of course
