    1 14 oz Bag of Sweetened Shredded Coconut
    1 14 oz Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
    1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
    ¼ tsp of Almond Extract
    2 Egg Whites, at room temperature
    ¼ tsp of Salt
    ½ tsp of Cream of Tartar

      Isn't too much sweet. Is enough with condensed milk

      @@carinsaj1266 it's a powdered acid (byproduct of wine-making actually) that helps stabilize the egg whites when foaming them up.

    I started making these last year for family gatherings and potlucks. I get so many compliments. The almond extract I believe is key.

    OMG I just made these and they were amazing!!!!! BTW peoples, if you don't have cream of tartar, just leave it out because I didn't have it and they turned out absolutely perfectos :D

    @xheathermichelle hi there, yes i did add all of the egg whites i just added them a little at a time so that it all gets blended well. Hope this hepls! :)

    I made this recipe a few times and it always comes out AMAZING! i would recommend this recipe to anyone because it tastes soo good and is really easy to make

    @bbabb131814 cream of tartar insures that the eggwhites stay stiff and dont deflate. If you make these without it i am not sure if they will hold their shape while baking. :)

    Yea. Proper macaroons instead of macarons. :) I can't believe I finally know how to make these. I used to read about them in UK books as a kid. It never occurred to me that I could make them myself. :) LOL.

    @mikhayelataran you can leave it out. It wont taste exactly the same but they will still be yummy. :)

    @yaramorino just leave out the cream of tartar its a powder that helps with volume and almond extract is just for added flavor

    @LauraVitalesKitchen So do you only use half the eggwhites in the mixture, or do you just put them in half and half? I am going to try to make these today, but that part was skipped/not explained in the video or in the recipe directions.

      high metabolism and it is a home cooked meal that isn't filled with fat and sugar so it is easier to make like all the companies do.

    You can use a bit of lemon, like a teaspoon :)
