The unusual chance for an early comment! I have watched every last video of yours and you were the one that started me watching auditing videos leading me to discover the whole scene and hours of enjoyment!..... You all do a top job for the public, thanks!
I was just trying to think who started me watching, i think it was the American auditors like "bay area transparency" but the UK i think was "live free" I've learned a lot from watching them.
If the police approached auditors genuinely friendly and showed a positive interaction there wouldn’t be a need to film, unfortunately it’s extremely rare reaction
TLA, AB, JD audits were my intro into this world of auditing. Weirdly, strangely addictive. But they helped me through tackling my own alcohol addiction. I enjoy what they do. I find some a tad too confrontational, but I see the importance of what they do. So many in the past were done by dodgy policing.
When people wake up to the fact the council don`t give a shit about you or your human rights and the police work for corporations the better! they all forget they all work for taxpayers end of the questioning!!! thx TLA :)
It astonds me where these public sector workers ( paid with our taxes ) get the balls to direct the general public what they can and can't do. If it's open to the public you have every right to film. Have you noticed it's nearly always women who kick off?
As a 78 year old retired police sergeant I'm really irritated by the ongoing decline in dress standards not only for police officers but for employees in general. Police officers wear crumpled combat trousers tucked into their scuffed unpolished boots. Many forces don't issue shirts and ties (except for dress uniform)instead they wear black long sleeved T shirts. Male officers often have straggly beards and long hair, disgraceful. Male public employees in particular no longer wear a suit and tie and often wear jeans and a casual open necked shirt or top. At least (for the moment) bank staff still look smart.
Council offices , Job centres and all government buildings should provide places of privacy for customers . Officials talking about GDPR should practice what they preach .
Agreed! Police stations too - I’ve been as a victim of crime and had to stand there giving out highly confidential data in front of other people 🙄 Then as an “auditor” I’ve stood for 20-30 minutes queuing as I listen to everyone’s highly personal info It’s crazy they have the audacity to put the blame for that breach of privacy in to the cameraman when it’s literally their responsibility 🙄
yeh well Reading council told some of the churches to stop ringing their bells as it could upset the muslim neighbours in the 90s even though the mosques in the town had exterior speakers to broadcast the call to prayer 5 times a day every day !
@MickG-g2o St marys butts in the town center was allowed to ring its bells but every church going towards cemetry junction was asked not to i was suprised when the bells stopped being rung on sunday mornings so i asked why !
Unwanted attention from the security, culminating with the closure of a gate. This has the makings for a 'disturbing' Psychological drama. It although what we witnessed, was far from fiction!
Even after years of people filming in public and being filmed by CCTV numerous times a day that people still react this way. Police and council workers seem to be the worst.

The stupidity of them that the woman left the paperwork unattended it would have been communicated to that no paperwork should be on the desk like this. She called it her private desk if that is the case LOCK YOUR STUFF AWAY and ensure the set up is that a person cannot reach over to look or touch it. The other end is that people can overhear each other, so it's not private for the public personal details so they are in breach of GDPR!

If you really want to exercise our rights it might be worth going to the metro bank which is just up from the council, they have their computer screens face onto the town as it's mostly glass! You can defo see information on the screens

Spent a week in Reading town centre for a course years ago. Have to say I found it a pretty miserable place. Stayed in the hotel near the train station and it was all cheap, black furniture (reminiscent of the 80s - may actually have been from the 80s ...) and dusty-looking, polyester velour bed coverings. The course was fine, but getting back on the train to go home (to Scotland) was the best bit. Oh, and Reading M&S was the only place they tried to refuse my Scottish money for a sandwich. This was pre-independence movement, by which point, whenever I was down south, they were falling over themselves to be nice to Scottish people who wanted to take their oil away. Right now, they're being supplied with Scottish power, whilst Scottish energy bills go sky-high and Scottish pensioners are shivering in the cold through lack of funds. It's not right!

I was just trying to think who started me watching, i think it was the American auditors like "bay area transparency" but the UK i think was "live free" I've learned a lot from watching them.
