37:54 you can see the tiny cutlass doing 1084 on a crit. That means its inherent double crit is stacking with the deadly crow's nest for 4x damage on a crit. That's legitimately cracked.
To be fair, that is still much weaker than one would expect. Both effects increase the crit mult by one, bringing it from 2 to 4, whereas if they both multiplied it by 2, which seems to me at least as the logical assumption, it would be an 8× multiplier total. Still busted, but it just FEELS like you're getting scammed.
@@hhjk4 It's all just X × 2 × 2 = X × 4. In this case, the math is always × 4. You're probably in an "exponentiation" mindset, which is also very common games, but this is a level below that. EDIT: This is wrong, forgot that there's three levels of multiplication here, see hhjk4 below.
@@Naeddyr crits deals double damage by default, without either of those effects being applied. So, it seems logical to me that, with both effects, the total multiplier would be 2(from the crit itself)×2(from the cutlass)×2(from the crow's nest)=8. In reality, though, the total multiplier is 4. If only the cutlass's effect was being applies, it would only be a total 3× multiplier on crit, instead of 2(default)×2(effect). So the effects are actually "deals additional damage on crit equal to base damage", or "increases the crit multipier (2 by default) by 1", instead of actually doubling the damage you would usually do on crit.
Using one shot, one kill as the ultimate knee brace was a sick call. You had nearly 50% CDR on that weapon, which was on top of it most likely following up with it's second attack at haste and 2 seconds charged.
It doesn't actually help, though. They're both multiplicative. So the cooldown gets reduced by a bigger number, but then that number gets divided by the 1.5× multiplier from one shot, one kill. For example, at 34:50 you can see it reduce the cooldown from 5.7 to 5.4, and then to 3.6 after disabling OSOK, for a total reduction of 3.8->3.6, which is about 3%, or the same as if he had used the wing without OSOK.
@hhjk4 doing some math, i think it might get him an extra .1 second worth of cdr here and there do to rounding or something. It definitely isn't massive, but i think it might do something here.
(knee brace) 4 - (4 * .03)=3.88 4 - (5 * .03)=3.85 (One shot, One kill) 4 - (4 * .03)=3.88 4 - (6 * .03)=3.82 So, it did a thing. Okay, and if you do that several times, which he did, with higher cool downs, which he had, then that is even more effective. I am not understanding your argument here boss.
I really enjoy your commentary. The butt-clench talk always cracks me up. Learning how to play better is great from you. The explanations are sound and humorous
not viable in current state of game. Its been poison pufferfish Vanessa meta until recently. Now its Dooly poison meta. Healing is the only reliable way to cleanse poison, but its too slow since it only cleanses 1 stack per healing activation. Even with pre-nerf Uwashiwali bird it'd be a struggle, but now that its been hard nerfed there's just no way to handle all the poison.
Can you get the health belt on duly or Vanessa? Ive been fishing for one early and wanting to run a poison nonpuffer and go for the gain regen on poison stuff... i got a full burn heal run with the sword, the staff and 1 claw. Was crazy strong with all the new cinders you can get.... ran on duly with aden, welding lance. Was a ton of healing and burn. But still loss to 1 shots, i get the fun of 1 shot builds but damn they suck to run into.
I don't have the game so I can't really comment on meta and stuff but from what I've learned when certain players say a build is "dead" what they mean is they can't just giga cheese for free wins.
I actually think Vanessa is in a good spot. But Pyg and Dooley, the other 2 characters have a couple broken builds that don’t require much luck to get online. To get a strong Vanessa build up and running you need a few planets to align (in my opinion). Basically all DOT builds are overpowered right now and Vanessa doesn’t have enough natural weapon scaling to keep up.
Maybe you’re having more luck than I, but I don’t think Vanessa is a “free w”. She’s probably the best option, but I often don’t see the things I need to make it happen.
I wonder, why you don't like Harpoon? It really helps you beat Dooleys and all their rays. Especially considering how many powders you found through the whole run. Not in one-hit-one-kill run of course, but in general
I love Harpoon, it is just a bit slow for the meta right now. By the time it goes off, if you don't hit the right thing on Dooley's boards you'll still have enough poison stacked to lose. It was better in Bee Pig meta where he often only ran one or two small items and they took a bit to get off the ground, and you knew you'd hit it before it went giga.
Just got the game, trying to grind out the daily free ranked win with vanessa to try to unlock other characters has been super rough, it feels like im just getting constantly smashed by dooley's
He was moving it to play around with the cooldown increase from one shot, one kill. Since the skill increases the cooldown by 50% the static reduction from feather is higher how he was doing it.
@@dylanharbour4476 Just want to point out that it didn't change anything and just confused people. The skill increases cooldown by a percentage which means that it doesn't matter if it's applied or not due to how multiplication works. Knee Brace is the only exception because it has a flat cooldown increase.
can the game release already? like the game is a finished product, balance can still be made after launch whats the point of calling closed beta? if you want people to buy the pack to play just set a price for the game and release it....already not liking how the devs handle things im actually slowly steering away from the game, also a lot of people are forgetting about it.
In fairness, the game still has some pretty distinct bugs, UI issues, unpolished edges etc. Hell, it was only recently that a bug involving ghosts maintaining whatever stats they gain in their fights from persisting on to the next time they fight a player. Some ghosts had over 100k damage. xD
@Kimtroverted that can only translate that the devs rushed the game to calling it beta when it has so many game breaking bugs and isnt polishes and also points out to how lazy they are to fix these, either way there is no real excuse to how they are handling this game, I legitimately lost all interest in it, also why not just have an open beta?? More players mean more people can mess with the game and find any more bugs that still linger if the intention was truly to fix bugs.
@@NoxHelios Likely because an open beta would mean completely uncontrolled numbers of players that they then need to manage servers around, deal with more bug reports from a wider userbase (which can catch more niche bugs for sure, but overall it just means more time sifting through duplicates and common bugs), additional community management work from the bigger influx of players, bigger PR impact if something massively gamebreaking or off-balanced occurs and just generally causing more trouble and money than it's worth. Seriously, d'you know how expensive servers are to host? Keeping things closed to a smaller subset of people isn't laziness, nor is letting them experience bugs and lack of polish considered "rushing" the game, since they...Y'know...Delayed the release of the game based on feedback from Closed Beta participants? The game is 97/98% of the way there, it just needs that last couple %.

Reto: Look at me! I'm the Pyg now!
The early losses, while understandably salt inducing, does make for a fun video. Day 15 just has particularly spicy insanity.
One Shot is such a trap. Well done wriggling out of it. What a comeback.
I think its less of a trap and more of weve been using it wrong the whole time. Using it as a super knee-brace is massive.
Ahh, Vanessa's arrived just in time for dinner again!
Its the "nothing personal kid " build!

Was a fun game to watch how 180 the run went from beginning to end
I saw a streamer with a mod that was a hovering overlay for the items the PVE bosses had. It was pretty clean
Still waiting to see someone super buff an uzi into insane levels in a one weapon build

Can you only get an item you already own from an enemy if its the same tier as the one you own?
