Your story about knocking around the S-NES by accident brings up a memory from one of my Dragon Warrior gaming sessions. Nothing so harsh happened to my NES. Still, I turned on the system with expectations of doing another few hours with this game...only to be greeted with this full screen page of text that was all so well written and being extremely apologetic about having fumbled the correct storage of the game save. I've no idea if anyone has ever given this rare pop-up message any love. But, someone in programming had some real fun in writing up this olde world error message. Having long known about the potential dangers of unstable game saves, I had backed up the game to a second slot and recovered from that one. Still, the very fact that this micro novel of an apology even existed is highly amusing. I think it was one of the later games. Maybe 4. More likely 3.
May it be near impossible to corrupt a game file of Earthbound for the S-NES Retro by mere shock, alone. (Though, it's far from infallible to lose the game saves by doing the wrong things on the start screen.)
So I guess since I watched this already it means there won't be a new video for me to watch on Monday.

I'll admit, I never knew you could sell mushrooms to anyone BUT the mushroom girl. Considering the amount of enemies I faced, I probably turned in well over 10 mushrooms to that one mushroom girl. I love discovering new things and seeing what I know compared to what you're discovering this LP! Keep up the great work.
