Hi Ladies, L❤VE your channel!! Im obsessed with color analysis. It's so much fun! I was told growing up in the 70s/80s that if your olive skined, you have to be cool. The only colors I liked were burgundy, black and anything very deep. I look horrible in pink, bright colors and pastels. I tried some warm colors that were too intense/bright on me as well. So, I figured I just didn't look good in color. When UA-cam started having color analysis videos available, I started playing around with depth and chroma. I assumed I was a soft cool palette, because I still couldn't wrap my head around olive skin having warm undertones . The softer deep colors were better, but still not right. It was not until I combined my colors having warmth, depth and softness I FINALLY found a color palette that looks consistently good on me. Unfortunately, I didn't come to this realization until I was in my late 50s. I still see people on UA-cam saying there are no warm olives. This is so irritating and I can't believe professionals would make such a blanket statement without seeing people first. I can't tell you how much money I have wasted on buying colors that were just not right on me.Just for reference, I have medium (slightly deep)naturally very golden olive skin, deep brown hair with copper highlights and blue green eyes with golden brown flecks around the iris.
We are delighted to have you here. Our goal is to do deep dives in ALL forms of Color Analysis- yes there are several systems. AND do explode some myths and learn A LOT!
My mom always wore fuchsia lipstick, even into her eighties. She was an autumn and loved her colors, but always chose a bright shade of fuchsia for her lips. No one could convince her that it didn't look good because she just loved it so much.
Having just watched the eyeshadow colour one, anyone still needing convincing that this is expert advice just needs to look at the gorgeous, unusual clothes colours you both wear which are perfect for you both.
I’m a sweet soft November. I’m neutral and dark. I borrow from both both deep and dark autumn and winter. I don’t fit neatly into a category because I have ashy cool black hair, warm chestnut eyes and pinky lips. My skin is a neutral olive. I look better in charcoal than in black. I look great in brown as long as it’s not too pinky or warm.
There is a six palette system that focuses strictly on Dominant Characteristics. PalI always suggest it when people arent a perfect fit. Make sure you subscribe for a notification on the 6 Palette System.
I feel like I don't fit into a category either. My hair is straight up black, but you can see dark brown highlights in the sun. My eyes are dark brown. My lips are purplish- pinkish. My skin has high amounts of yellow tones (Im the yellowest in group photos), but idk if I'm neutral or cool. I look good in jewel tones as well as browns and golds. Beige and taupes look terrible on me. I just want to fit in somewhere. 🥹🥺
I thought for awhile I was a Soft Autumn (was typed as Autumn in the 80s as there were no subseasons then). But then I find out Soft Autumn is a transition between Autumn and Summer (which some AI has typed me as soft Summer, Soft Autumn). I had a pro do it virtually, and was typed a Spring. I’m not sure which I am and am pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. I am medium contrast, not particularly bright-looking, but my skin is bright and peachy. I can really rock some of the Spring colors, but not all. I can also wear some Autumn tones, but others are too heavy. I can even wear a few Summer tones as long as they have some oomph to them (darker rose, for example). I have dark brown/light blonde hair, hazel green eyes, warm undertone with high pink color (though it might be more peachy pink). Any suggestions? At this point, I’m sort of making my own palette with some Spring and some Autumn tones.
I have always gravitated towards autumn colors but since learning about color analysis I am mildly paranoid I’m a summer. I am definitely too soft for spring or winter but I don’t feel very cool or very warm! Maybe I just can’t see it… seems like it’s easier to tell on other people besides yourself haha
Is the softness of your features your dominant characteristic? If so, Soft Summer (cool) and Soft Autumn (warm) are sister seasons so you could wear colours from both pallettes! Also, the r/coloranalysis Subreddit really helped me figure out my season, maybe try checking them out!
On the topic of why some people gravitate towards the wrong colors: I think I may be a spring but those colors felt juvenile, so as I got older and wanted to come off as professional, etc. I started buying lots of neutrals (esp cool grays and blacks) and darker or muted tones. The more I dressed in those colors, the the less professional/put together I felt... so the more I dulled down my wardrobe. somewhere along the way I came to believe I needed to dress more "seriously" to be taken seriously, but the colors just made me look diminished and washed out. I'm enjoying my forray into color analysis because it's giving me the freedom to find and wear my colors, whatever they may be, and get to shine again 😊
I've pretty much known all my life I'm autumn. Sales staff, my family etc always recommended autumn colours for me. The 90s was my makeup era as all the rosewoods, browns and terracotta reds were made for me. Funny how genetics work. I am of Irish heritage, so light medium skin, medium brown hair and gold flecked teal eyes, yet both my boys take after their Indonesian father and have really dark brown hair, deep brown eyes and lovely brown skin. My eldest is a soft autumn, who can dip into soft summer. My youngest is a winter. He looks phenomenal in bright jewel tones and black and white.
I used to always think I was a winter because I thought I had cool skin because I am very fair and my eyes are dark. But lately I have been noticing I actually look better in soft autumn colors. My skin is more neutral and I have some freckles. My hair is a neutral dark blonde with some red. But yeah the photos of me wearing browns, greens and those soft autumn colors look better than if I was wearing a bright winter color. I’m confused now 😂
I go back & forth about spring and fall. If I go by natural hair color...light honey brown. Always has a red element. and green eyes that used to be green hazel, but isn't anymore. Now green with a tad of amber and a blue outer rim. My skin has faded to very pale neutral. But every time I get a compliment I'm in...dark forest green or black. Or ivory & camel. So maybe a bright spring?
i have the same eye color Kate Middleton green with gold flecks but no brown natural mousy brown hair natural ref highlights but constantly being told i have cool tones skin, get told i look good in bright jewel toned green sweater i wear when i wear white i look bright and tan
I e been trying to figure out my colours as I have gone grey haired. I’m completely confounded. All the videos seem to say the same thing - if you look good in it, your season is whatever that colour is in. They don’t come out and say it, but that is the bottom line. If I knew what looked good, I wouldn’t be trying to figure out what season I am!
I have no idea if i am autumn or winter. Black hair black/brown eyes, neutral to warm skin tone. But i feel like i dont look great in white, but i do look great in fushia and navy. I look great in mustards and oranges but not in brown. I look washed out in silver jewellery but great in gold. Im very confused!
Your description is very similar to mine if not the same, I had my report professionally done and I'm deep autumn which can easily borrow warm dark shades from winter if needed...
For the life of me, I can’t figure out what I am. I think I’m generally an autumn but there’s always a few of the more muted colors that look bad on me; beige, for example, washes me out. But my undertones in my skin are definitely warm, a light honey color. My eyes are very dark, almost black, and my hair is chestnut brown. My eyebrows and eyelashes are very light, so they don’t fit with the depth of my eyes. I also have natural flush in my cheeks. So I borrow some colors from autumn (like brown looks great on me), and some from spring, like coral, which makes my cheeks glow. If you have any insights please let me know.
Lucinda, You look much better in the dark colors. Does this mean you need to combine a dark color when wearing a light color or a brighter color? I would like to know what lipstick you are wearing in each video.
I don't think you guys should say if you gravitate towards Certain colors. Because a lot of people are attracted to colors, not in their season.I see it all the time. For instance, I love pastels, but I am a bright winter. I have to decorate with pastels in my house just because I love them so much. I've seen a video where this girl was cool toned, but she loved Brown and neutral, It looked so terrible on her, but she just loved fall colors. And I tried wearing pastels for like years, I knew I was full toned, but I didn't know I was a winter... I'm one of those people that have neutral enough skin where I can pull things off somewhat, but I look so much better in my bright colors. I don't have super dark hair naturally, But I dye my hair darker. It looks so good on me.Everybody always compliments it.! It's like medium. It can even go lighter in the summer. But i'm definitely got a lot of contrast like dark colored lips Fair skin and light colored eyes. Also a lot of younger people that are on social media a lot.It won't be in their color season because they're attracted to the trends. Like warm neutrals are super trendy... It washes people out when it's not in their colors. I think we all get sucked into wearing things out of our colors, because it's what's available in the stores and we're attracted to the color but it's not great on us. Now, that I know my colors, I don't fall into that trap anymore.
I gravitate towards colors in the winter palette because they are bold and edgy, which led to be purchasing clothing and accessories in the winter palette but they just sit in my closet.
I am very fair with light blue eyes. At 57 my once strawberry-leaning-red hair is very blonde. I think I may be a spring, but I wear a lot of autumn colors.
I struggle so much with this! Is there a thing as a cool autumn? I feel winter colours are overpowering, black and white dont look good, pastels neither but orange tones make me sallowww 😢
I suspect you are neutral and could pull from multiple palettes. Send us a photo taken in natural light and we can give you an opinion. ColorClassInc@gmail.com ✉
I’ve have always been a winter. At least that’s what I thought. Now, I’m 61 years old, and my complexion has changed to warm. I dont understand this. I’m not drawn and never have been drawn to autumnal colors. My closet has whites, baby blues, pinks, and greys.and silver jewelry. I am so confused. When I have my makeup done at Nordstrom, the lip color that I got last season doesn’t work this season. I have received more complements on the CT brick red lip color than I can count. This makeup artist is an actually portrait artist. The last one was not. That could be why. I don’t know, but I do see a difference in my coloring. I get complements when I wear creams and even leaning toward a deeper cream think Victorian . Someone recently said green would look good on me, but then someone also said baby blue. How can I be an autumn with both baby blue and Victorian creams? 🙄
I get confused. I feel convinced I am soft summer by watching videos. Along, with being neutral. I love the colors but I am confused with fall because I have always loved brown and mustard yellow and white tshirts and button up shirts and thought I look good in those colors. I do think the white looks better with another color jacket, blazer, sweater of a different color in fall or winter. Like I said, Inlove the soft summer colors as well on me but I still love the brown. I would say my eyes are bluish but some things really bring out the blue distinctively. Thanks for your videos. I’m trying to figure this out so I can minimize my closet a little to make it easier to put things together.
'tricks to wear something outside our season' yes! And no need to apologise for having an LBD, sometimes autumn-y redheads can look mysterious and sophisticated and otherworldly in black - even if a green might have been more in palette.
Hello - I am pretty sure I am an Autumn, however, my hair is "aging" and my question is how do I wear those warm, beautiful autumn colors with hair that is turning gray/white-ish?
Good question - first off remove mustard, pumpkin and any color near your face that you feel does not look great with your hair. Then start evaluating for a new season/system. My favorite for an autumn transitioning is the 6 dominant characteristics palette.
@@ColorClassInc my mother who was an Autumn was toe-head blonde when young but my dad (soft autumn) and my two autumn siblings (deep autumn) were not. My brother's little boy (two autumn parents) already looks exactly like my brother.
Yes!! I want to know too!! I was typed as Autumn when I was younger but I never look good in those colors and wondered why my closet looks like winter!! My hair is a dark brown that leans ashy but eye color is warm amber and dark green. It’s the skin that makes it so confusing! We need an olive undertone video please ladies! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m definitely an Autumn. Pumpkin not orange. Goldenrod not yellow. Golden brown not basic brown. Etc. I’ve attempted to wear silver jewelry & it NEVER looks good. I have golden brown eyes. But I think my veins are more blue. A nail tech once mentioned how beautiful my skin was; she said like porcelain with blue undertones. 🤷♀️
I had color analysis done and was told I'm a spring. I don't disagree but think I also look good in some autumn shades and am a bit confused now. Can someone be primarily one season but also partial to another season?
Both warm seasons….sister season ! …which can borrow colours from each other as an autumn I can wear some of the bright colours of spring and they look really well on me ..especially in the spring and summer …
I was watching an a Beyoncé video off your color me beautiful and you asked who’d we like to see analyzed I have a few but Alicia Keys. I’d love Mickey Guyton , Rhiannon Giddens and Allison Russell too. I’m going to hopefully meet, definitely to hear her sing ,Rissi Palmer in august maybe she’d be good one too.
The problem comes when you change colouring with age! I was draped as deep autumn, decades ago, then started to colour hair lighter and eye colour went from darkest olive to bright green, as the brown faded from them! My skintone is pale neutral warm ivory, I never was that golden looking skintoned autumn, it was in the hair and eyes. The original analyst retired and have been "done" three times since then, as - warm autumn, bright spring and warm spring, what do you make of that? I can wear dark warm pinks now though (which makes me think bright spring?) and the rusts and warm burgundy shades, which used to wear all the time, make me look washed out and ill. I still wear dark greens, but less brown in them, and more fresher shades, warm but lighter. I have no idea what is happening and don't want to fork out any more money than I already have - lost confidence in colour analysts sadly.
If you are an autumn that can wear silver, you most likely have a shine about your skin or hair. Most autumns have a softness about their complexion that will cool and warm mixes in their hair, skin and or eyes.
Ugh I can never figure this out because it never quite fits. I look okay in brown but not so great in grey BUT I don’t look good in gold. Honestly most red heads I know look way better in silver
That’s because a lot of redheads have cool fair skin. Think about it this way- to make these decisions you must look at the dominant characteristic. If the redhair is dominant like my daughter Sara- then build your analysis around hair. If skintone is more dominant go with that.
@@ColorClassInc okay thank you, that makes sense. I think since my hair is more auburn than red I might be a soft summer? I look good in some autumn colours but not the overly warm ones
@@ColorClassInc I have a classy but vibrant red dress that is like a fire engine red. I wore it to a play recently but I tend to shy away from wearing it. I feel like super strong makeup especially lipsticks are too much on me. So I’m torn between the types.
I look horrible in brown and gold, so I’m not an autumn. I look pretty yuck in true purple. I look nice in mint green, navy blue, gray, teal, cranberry, red, and any shade of green because i have pine tree/Christmas tree green eyes. So i have no idea what season i am. I actually get compliments when I wear highlighter yellow as well as any shade of green and red too, so maybe I’m a mix between summer and spring? I have dark brown hair and fair skin, but warm fair skin if that makes sense. It has yellow undertones. If i put the inside of my arm next to the inside of my Irish husband’s arm, mine looks like the arm of a corpse. He is pale pink, and I’m just pale. lol. I guess I’m just glad to know not to wear Autumn colors 🤷🏻♀️
I love your videos but i wish when you do a comparison, like Warm Autumn compared to Soft Autumn you would focus on that. I get confused when you guys start talking about summers and springs in that conversation. I love you guys don't get me wrong. I just wish the videos were a little more on topic.
I do believe I am a warm Autumn! I'm unsure though. Also red hair&freckles here, but all my life people told me I can't wear pink or red and tried to stick me in greens all the time and I am such a rebel, so I didn't like feeling like Christmas themed, red and green I probably just hated together because people said I couldn't wear pinks and reds. Now I find the shade my mom so affectionately calls "whore red" in lipstick makes me feel like a 1950s porcelain skinned beauty queen! Love the high contrast, and I find that a lot of pale pinks work well makeup wise anyways. Bold colors are my go to in terms of clothing. Not a lot of white, but that's mostly a dirt factor for me(kids and cooking, I can ruin white clothes) and while I used to rock black (it's slimming I thought) back in the day, I have noticed as I age, the black in my wardrobe now is mostly just an accent to another color, maybe just the notions, the lace or buttons, trim or hem line or maybe a black shawl kind of accent. But I'm a January baby...does that matter? I just noticed you mentioned October.
You make sure to subscribe and watch the class on the 12 palette system. Autumns can be soft, warm or deep. They are called dominant characteristics. So which of those would you say you are- really soft, really warm, or very deep?
I think dark red is an autumn color not so much pure red, but I believe red would be more of an autumn like color if its created by mixing a little of it's complimentary color into it and maybe a little black. This would make the red more softer and deeper like certain autumn colors.
I just discovered iam dark autumn even tho i have a dark hair black and fair skin and brown eyes ….. is white and black don’t suit me but warmer tones look good more even people around said i loook much better ! But for my hair i never dyed i am confused !
Funny. I hate compliments, so if I'm getting compliments in my "true season" I will naturally gravitate towards the colors I feel at home in. When I wear winter, people compliment, but I'm most likely an autumn and I don't get complimented as much which is just heavenly peaceful to me. I gravitate to both the seasons so I enjoy traveling seasons based on my mood.
You should think about why you don’t like compliments. It is certainly your prerogative but your friends and family may want to appreciate something special about you, and I know personally I would never want to make someone uncomfortable.

Like I said, Inlove the soft summer colors as well on me but I still love the brown. I would say my eyes are bluish but some things really bring out the blue distinctively. Thanks for your videos. I’m trying to figure this out so I can minimize my closet a little to make it easier to put things together.
Summers have rose-toned browns and cocoa in the palette. 🙂
You all look 🤩 amazing!!!!!!!
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
I don't know which one is me 😢😅 I think I have two faces, an autumm and a winter. I can't pick one
@@ColorClassInc Thanks for your help! I will look into the Soft and Light and see which one looks the best. Have a great day!
My two sister-in-laws are Autumns. One of my nieces appears to be going in that direction and the other is taking after my brother (and I) into spring
Was your niece a golden blonde when young?
@@ColorClassInc she's only 5 now and no, has always had reddish brown hair
@@ColorClassInc my mother who was an Autumn was toe-head blonde when young but my dad (soft autumn) and my two autumn siblings (deep autumn) were not. My brother's little boy (two autumn parents) already looks exactly like my brother.
What about olive undertones?
What color is your hair?
@@ColorClassInc Going grey, was cool brown to begin with.
I'm a so called warm spring but must be careful with brights. Have very light skin and brights are mostly killing what little color I have.
In the 16 color analyze system true spring is different from warm spring which is darker and softer
There is a color analysis system that deals with Dominant characteristics. Light, Deep, Soft, Clear, Cool, Warm. Could you’ve a Warm?
What if we are neutral.
I used to observe young women trying to cheer themselves up by dying their hair orange post partum - and none of them were obvious autumns.
Stores carry a limited amount of colors. Maybe online? I like to see the item, though. A dinosaur ? Touch & see items. 👀
Could you send us a photo? Colorclassinc@gmail.com. No reason to lose confidence- we will get you sorted out and tell you exactly how we did it.
Wow, thank you, I will sort one out for you, that would be wonderful!@@ColorClassInc
I'm an autumn but I love silver accessories, how to cope? 😂😂
What do you do if you have medium to deep brown hair but are cool and soft. Can you be a summer still?
You are likely a winter. Can you wear fire engine red? Or would you always opt for something less saturated?
@@ColorClassInc I have a classy but vibrant red dress that is like a fire engine red. I wore it to a play recently but I tend to shy away from wearing it. I feel like super strong makeup especially lipsticks are too much on me. So I’m torn between the types.
Lucinda mixed winter with Autumn.
I think I’m an autumn. Born in Oct with fiery red hair and freckles from head to toe.
How do you feel about the color olive?
Pastels are too light on me. Think I am spring coloring now.
I thought I was an autumn, but I guess I am a spring. How do you tell which type of spring then are you?
You make sure to subscribe and watch the class on the 12 palette system. Autumns can be soft, warm or deep. They are called dominant characteristics. So which of those would you say you are- really soft, really warm, or very deep?
Is red an autumn color? I am autumn and love red; in the fall I see red on the trees and maroon.
Depends on the red, Chili red is absolutely gorgeous.
I think dark red is an autumn color not so much pure red, but I believe red would be more of an autumn like color if its created by mixing a little of it's complimentary color into it and maybe a little black. This would make the red more softer and deeper like certain autumn colors.
I’m an autumn but not deep - I’m a soft autumn ❤
I just discovered iam dark autumn even tho i have a dark hair black and fair skin and brown eyes ….. is white and black don’t suit me but warmer tones look good more even people around said i loook much better ! But for my hair i never dyed i am confused !
You need to spell better.
Lucinda looks better in deeper colors, not so good in pale colors.
Sarah never speaks😢
I have fair skin very freckly with red brown hair and olive green eyes. I have no idea what season I am . My skin burns easily.

You sounds nuts
Do you dislike compliments because you dislike attention?
Please stop talking over one another 😖😣😩
Ur not an autumn lmao
