and for everyone who are struggling here are some common mistakes you gotta fix
1. Make sure you have the tags and the script correct.
2. FOLLOW THE TUTORIAL, come on man its really simple just follow the tutorial exactly how its explained
3. Make sure your cosmetics are in your head in the photon vr player
i typed in the tag perfectly like how you did but it say that it is wrong
my stick works like a platform and idk how to fix it

For some reason its saying 69 RED errors and saying "Stick not identified" and wants me to put a "hammer" cosmetic so I tried but it didn't work. PLEASE help me!

Can you make a tutorial on how to change the player model
this is pretty good! only problem, you dont have unlimited tags to use, and you can just use the cosmetics by name by typing it in as a string, instead of a bunch of tag nonsense.

every time i click green it doesnt show the tophat
I have looked for why and I cant find it but when I press the buttons the stick just dont work. I went ingame and opened up the right player hand and the right hand cosmetics but there was nothing there. I stopped the game and checked again and it was there. What is happening?
My hands stopped going to my controllers and it just made me do a weird t pose

how do i fix Assets\Scripts\ChangeCosmetic.cs(5,17): error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Cosmetics' does not exist in the namespace 'Photon.VR' (are you missing an assembly reference?)
Change the place you import it to, for example, instead of importing it into scripts folder, just import it straight into ur assets folder

the stick is glitched i can barely move and when i old it in my head i go flying in the air

make sure in the script it says class (the name of script) then whatever is in the script, make sure the script file name is the same
what does it mean by OUTDATED
new scripts are used now, this tutorial no longer works with the latest photon updates

error 1 : Assets\Scripts\ChangeCosmetic (1).cs(6,14): error CS0101: The namespace '' already contains a definition for 'ChangeCosmetic'
and error 2 :
Assets\Scripts\ChangeCosmetic (1).cs(8,18): error CS0111: Type 'ChangeCosmetic' already defines a member called 'OnTriggerEnter' with the same parameter types
For some reason when i touch the buttons the cosmetic isnt put on
same for me
I half fixed it, make sure in gorilla rig controllers in sohere collider the box "Is Trigger" is ticked.
