Dear Lara, I am a big fan of interstellar and have started to learn this piano piece. I shortlisted many piano tutorials for Patril Pietschmann arrangement, but none is as detailed and helpful as yours. Please accept my sincere gratitude. :)
This is soooooo nice. Thank you so much for the effort that has been put into this. This masterpiece of Hans Zimmer is one of my all time favorites, and as a beginning piano player it is so hard to start with it. This tutorial will help so much. Can you share the letter notes and fingering sheet separately as well ? Would be handy as well. Thank you soo much again ! Looking forward to more of this ! Just started to learn to play the piano (again) at the age of 47, it is exactly with efforts from people like you that we get the chance to learn in a proper way to play these kind of pieces.
Hello Joeri, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your wonderful comment. It's incredibly gratifying to receive positive feedback such as yours. Your words were truly heartwarming! Given that my channel is still in its early stages, I haven't had the opportunity to bring all my planned projects to fruition. Among the exciting ventures on the horizon is the ability for individuals to purchase my musical scores, complete with notes and fingering as demonstrated in the videos. If you're interested in acquiring my musical notes, please feel free to reach out to me at easypianowithlara@gmail.com However, if you prefer a more accessible route, I also want to offer you the option of conveniently downloading the notes for free from pdfcoffee.com/hans-zimmer-interstellar-main-theme-piano-versionpdf-2-pdf-free.html. Following that, you can manually transcribe the notes and fingering by hand, mimicking the details presented in the video. Thank you again for your support! Lara
Hi lara! Gotta say, I've been shamelessly binge watching your channel since yesterday morning! :) I love this mission you took upon yourself: to facilitate people's lives in their piano journey. I would like to THANK YOU so very much for your work and the knowledge you've been spreading through your videos. So, thanks a lot! Interstellar was the video that has brought me here. Your teaching (and, again, i don't like this word but you get my meaning I suppose) was what made me stay throughout the video. Your dedication was what made me really take the time to actually stop my search and really look. And the knowledge that I have gathered trough "your lesson" was what actually made me stop again, sit and write to you. I've been searching for videos, tutorials as people like to say nowadays, to help me play the songs i've learned to love these past few years. Interstellar is one of my brother's favorites and I thought, you know what, I have to learn to play this for him. And i intend to. One day :) So i've been looking out there for these "piano lessons" and actually found good stuff so far. BUT, nothing like what I have found here in your video (s). Being self taught is a hell of challenge, not gonna lie. I've been struggling with, well, many aspects of this journey. But mostly, i guess, is the fingering patterns. Jesus Christ, that's HARD! But here, with your walk though, I finally get that felling that i've got it. I totally got it! Still, i got a thing or two with tempo, melody and speed issues but i learned something invaluable too: You get better everyday, if at least a little bit. Practice has been essential for me to get well, somewhere hehe. But i think I'm in the right direction. So, thanks for your videos because you , even though are an accomplished pianist, you still understand and connect with people that aren't. You understand our needs to know how a finger goes from here to there to make a certain sound and you understand that knowing this, as a beginner, is really hard! So thank you for naming the finger patters, giving directions clearly and on point. Thanks A LOT! And, I kinda read in you profile page that you asked our opinion on what content you should consider posting. Well, i gotta a request :p Would you (pretty please!) consider posting 2 tutorials? The first one is Lacrimosa (mozart/Süßmayr), because this has to be one of the most amazing, haunting things I've ever heard... And, "Light of the seven" from Game of thrones. Been looking for a tutorial, found a thing or two, but not something as substantial as the kind of work that you have here. So it would be AWESOME if you just , at least, consider posting them ;D Well, I'll leave you here with my best wishes for you and your channel. I'm having the pleasure to see it barely starting and i know (because i do know it!) that it is going to grow exponentially in the next few months. I know it. So, thanks again and best of luck in your mission to share with us joy and knowledge through your videos! Ps: Could you possibly share the Interstellar sheets?
Hello, Pri. First and foremost, I would really like to thank you for this incredible, and well-written comment! In fact, your you spent a lot of time to write me a complete letter. This is fantastic and I want to thank you for your thoughtfulness as well as for all the kind words you had for me and my work! I have a huge selection of music already planned and I have just added your two great suggestions to that rapidly growing list, so yes, I do plan to take those on at some stage, however, please be aware that it could be quite some time before I am able to get to those. Making the video recording generally doesn’t take very much time at all, however, the Photoshop work (notation and fingering) as well as the ensuing video production both take an enormous amount of work and time to complete. This means that it often takes me several weeks before I am able to upload a new video. Regarding your last request, I suggest that you contact me at easypianowithlara@gmail.com Once again, thank you for your wonderful letter!☺❤ Lara.
@@easypianowithLara I'm happy that you answered my comment and thrilled that you'ved added my suggestions to your work list :) Seriously, don't worry about this time thing and stuff, life is complicated and your work is immensely hard. I understand. Anyways, I've already subscribed to your channel so whenever you post something new, I'll know ;)
Thank you very much! Great suggestion! I will add "Time" to the list of my future tutorials, however it might or might not be your version as I will choose the most suitable one for the tutorial.
hey lara😁 This tutorial was a big help but can u please simplify the part near the end where the notes go really high? I cant get my head into remembering the notes so please can u do this for me and other people who are struggling with that. THANKS🤩
Thank you for your comment! I'm planning to create a slower tempo version of "Interstellar" (hopefully this week) in response to requests that some people find the fast-paced ending difficult to learn. It's important to note that I can't change the challenging part at the end, as this piano version was arranged by Patrik Pietschmann, not by me. However, I'd like to offer a suggestion for learning and memorization: always look for repetitive and similar patterns within the piece. There are numerous repetitions throughout "Interstellar." For instance, instead of trying to learn everything from bar 129 ( from 6:16 on the video) to the end, you can focus on just 8 bars, from 129 to 136 ( from 6:16 till 6:36). The next 8 bars will be the same, only one octave higher, and this pattern repeats again one octave higher with slight variations in the last bar. Additionally, the final 4 bars of "Interstellar" are relatively easy to grasp. By breaking the piece down into manageable sections and recognizing these patterns, learning and memorizing the composition will become much more achievable.🙂
Thank you for your message!🙂 You will discover that you can easily find notes of this version of Interstellar arranged by Patrik Pietschmann, following that, you can manually transcribe the notes and fingering by hand, mimicking the details presented in the video. If you need anything else, you are welcome to contact me via easypianowithlara@gmail.com Lara
Thank you so much for your comment. You might have noticed that you can speed up or slow down any video on UA-cam by simply clicking on the settings icon on the bottom right of the screen and then selecting the ‘playback speed’ option. That way, you’ll be able to slow down any of my videos when you need to. Keep well and happy playing!🙂
