The brunch dialogue isn't suppose to be heard. I wanted to evoke a general feeling of enjoyment because that scene is about them bonding over an unexpected event, which is Ryan cooking.
So, I'm seeing a companion cookbook, with recipes of everything Ryan cooks. Makes me hungry, watching this show. Good to see more of Mr. La Cause, beyond just reading about him on Talkin' Broadway. Eminently watchable.
Music plays such an important role. I'm glad to hear that you responded to you. SIRPAUL is awesome. Check out his website for more music about the artist. I'm going to add a link under the video now. Thanks for commenting. And please share the show with your friends.
Awesome series so far. From the mention of "Chess King" and "Oaktree" in episode one I was hooked. Now living in London but you stirred some good memories for this 45 year old! Brilliant stuff!!!!!
Oh..... I'm in love...... any man that looks Ryan and can cook like that is a definite keeper, even the salad looked delicious :-D Super series...... it must be good because I wish it were longer, more dialogue and character development.... all the characters are interesting. The last frames were excellent and fun. She's great. I'm hooked.
Ditto - the actress nailed Liv and slc rolled with it well. The tempo of this show is great. My only qualm is the music is a little "twinky", not annoying, just a little juvenile - maybe that helps broaden the audience but it doesn't seems true to what would be Rod's inner dialogue. Nonetheless, can't help but love it.
I love that you scripted sexual tension between Ryan and Liv! The actress nailed her, emerging as a complete human within a few lines of the makeup scene. The porn director seemed something of a caricature or stock character. However, I've known plenty of people who talk about therapy rather than work it.
Well, there was a gay pron star, Matt Cole, he quit because he opened his own gym, but he still does some scenes every now and then. There is another one who actually became a teacher and sparked huge debates in the US - the school found out about his past and fired him, but he eventually won at the court. I think porn can be an impediment if you are a huge "star". I think many people just do some porn "on the side".
The scene when he cooked was like... food porn! This is a great series: very good actors, all of them, and details are considered carefully. The story is fascinating and the characters are complex. This should have more views!!!
Great concept! Fascinating scenes in logical progression. The thought of Jason fucking Ryan is either a turn-on or scary. Ryan is just right, imo, not a has-been at all. Jason is so macho in both body & attitude! Ryan should get a job as a cook, then chef. He doesn't have the credentials, but he could easily prove his worth, if someone gave him a chance. Sooner or later, with backing, he could open his own restaurant. Liv seemed a bit freakish at first, then warm & feminine with Ryan. Well done!
Watching this series makes me queston if porn stars actually go through this? Porn careers are relatively short. When it ends some go into hustling/escorting but that will end too shortly. Do they have a tough time trying to find regular work because of the gap between employments and porn career past? Some do return to college but even with a degree, background checks from employers reveals huge gaps and/or porn past. Is it hard to escape the porn career?
The song is "Colors" by @SIRPAUL, from the "Music and Me" album.

Yes a companion cookbook has been discussed! Glad you're enjoying the show!!
Yes, the thought of an @hustlingseries film has crossed my mind...:)

the music here is just... envigorating!
(especially when it came after Franco (Brian) with anger issues)

Great track!
Is anyone else getting ads for Christian Mingle for these episodes? Boy do these guys know their market.
Wow, So many actors from Bear City and Bear City 2, and so are you!!
Have you been thinking of making this series into a film?

Good stuff! Thank you!
the music is too loud. i couldn't hear the dialogue.

Wow...a lot of the BearCity movie actors are in the series so far. :-)

Just a suggestion, relabel season 1 like you did with season 2. It was not very obvious that EP 102 should follow the pilot. I'm just sayin'
@darkhawk123 Yeah, what is that all about. Converting? Shaming? Craziness.

A bottom should not eat before a scene!
