Your writing is wonderfully economical. I like the way you drop us into scenes and let us find our place in Ryan's story line from the dialogue. As writer and performer you have made me care about Ryan.
Thanks for letting us save this videos offline so I can watch it later even if there's no connection. When I saw you in OITNB, I knew you're hiding something under your shirt, and it's... hotness. Good thing I googled you. The actors are all talented.
Thanks to The Backlot site, your web series is in my radar. Well written, masterly composed and edited, and, Sebastian, watching you move makes is all go down like cocoa. What's your workout routine by the way?
Enjoyed the 2 episodes I've watched. Sorry to see some the uncalled for sour rantings posted here. Haven't seen Bear City but am now curious. Complaints about ur weight are dumbfounded. Not every man seeks to be a 99 lb twink. I know I certainly don't. And, with age, the lbs do sneak on, despite best efforts. U look like a real adult human being and ur not in bad shape by any measure. Ur portrayal is realistic and heartfelt as well. Just wanted to get that off my chest, as it were. Wishing you continued success and good fortunes.
Thank you. I'm not sure what the weight thing is about either. I allowed the comment to be visible because I think it's pretty ridiculous. The fact is I don't need to loose any weight and am in fact, in good shape. However the story is about a hustler who turns 40 and is realizing he needs a change - if my body was in perfect condition it would be silly. But whatever. People will always hate no matter what. The comments overall are extremely positive. The sour rants just balance it out and keep it real :) Glad you're liking the show! Keep watching!!
"damn now im hooked - do i really need sleep in order to get up for work?" You can sleep when your dead! keep watching @hustlingseries. Work will totally understand :)
Hi, just wanted to say, "Thanks," for this series. You really have the jaded, angry, frustrated, emotionally shut off, aging pornstar character nailed. For me, the dialogue and action moves too slowly. I loved "Brokeback Mountain," and it has that slow feel similar to it, but for me it is too slow. Just giving you my opinion. That said, it is great that you are doing this project and I am enjoying it a lot.
First episode I've seen. Great job. Why isn't DRV credited? Good job on her part as well as Andrew Glazsek and the agent is hilarious and really really real.
I've stopped watching TV and this is the replacement. I've seen 2 / 2. So far I quite like Ryan, but I care more about his landlady who is kind and funny. I'm going straight to 1.3 (so to speak)
Most interesting! It was painful to watch the smoking scene, but at least I could hold something in front of the screen until that was over. I couldn't HEAR the smoking, like in an English miniseries I stopped watching after fifteen minutes. Anyway, growing up in the Hollywood Hills, and with the family always keeping a house there, I've been around hustlers and schmoozers all my life. Always interesting to see that world fictionalized. Actually, my Grandfathers used to rent a Cuban who was sort of semi-responsible like your character (as opposed to the beautiful ones, who were always such complete fuckups). Oh, and to improve acoustics in small existing rooms, try hanging velvet on the walls not being shot - even if you're just giving an interview - even if you're just on speaker, and it's an important call... The acoustics in the scene with the 'agent' were grating.
Now I get your later comment about 'hearing the smoking' LOL. Yes, sound was an issue in this season. I was learning. I know you are no longer watching the show because you could 'hear the smoking; in episode 5 - but the sound improves greatly in the next season. I raised money and could actually hiring a crew. All the best to you. Peace.
Andrew Glaszek is seriously handsome, hot and sexy. Has a good energy and presence. What I like just now is the contrast of handsome men, hard bodies, exotic profession and the hard reality of life. The lines of description of poopy diapers to 40 was fun and quite accurate whatever the career choice. Ryan's meeting with his agent is thoroughly depressing in an amusing way when one knows how that world works. It is no different in Hollywood non porno film industry. Agent acted excellently. I also don't see the asian part. Ryan is certainly multi-handsome and sexy, in fact not sure he would be struggling at this point with his obvious attributes. He does appeal to all markets. Lucky him ;-) A lot of insight here and the landlady is a good contrast. Such banter only would work with a woman from a latin country. If she were german, swiss, british or american he'd be in jail or at least on the streets. :-) Enjoying this very much.
LOL I'm impressed that you'd bother to read them. I fear I'm not short on words. I feel too much and have more passion than is good for one man. Also. you ask for comments on the screen and let it never be said that I don't comply with a request ;-) When something touches me, well you see what happens. Plus I come from a generation where none of this existed or was possible. And whether people like it or not it is very healthy for humanity. I thank you for presenting this and in such a beautiful, high quality way. I cannot thank you for your talent because that is just a gift but grateful you are expressing and sharing it.
Oh boo hoo...the miseries of a gorgeous muscle boy. Try making it through life as an average, forgettable, invisible gay man in his forties. Impossible to feel anything but amazement at La Cause's character who can't figure out how to make it in a society which worships and adores beautiful people like himself. Hey Sebastian, how about writing/directing/producing something about the rest of us???
No offense but since you spoke your mind, I'll speak mine - I think it's you. The acting is well ABOVE average. Not every show is for everyone. If you don't dig it, you don't dig it, it's cool. No offense or feelings hurt here. Move and and find something else to watch. But I do appreciate your comment - even though I whole-heartedly, strongly and vigorously disagree.
Whoa...Nice show! Just happen to stumle across it while browsing, glad I did! Great work~look forward to watching more episodes...Continued Success!!!
Thank you! So glad you found us! @Vega_Rubin is the second actor credited in the episode. I wud never forget to credit her :)

What a nice comment. Thank you. I try my best not spell it out so that you can discover what you need to know as it's happening.
Yeah @IAMStephenG is super talented I
Sixty year olds?
hahahahahaha Awesome!!
I'm your fan since right now. Congrats and regards from Spain!

"…makes it all go down like cocoa" - love that! Hehe. Thank you. When I am in training mode - I work out 4-5x a week.
I loved it all BUT, Stephen Guarino was perfect here!
Thank you Eric! Now start watching Season Two!! :)
Enjoying your series Sebastian...recognized many of the actors from Bear City...
Totally stole them all after we did BC!
They are great and I totally love that show and its sequel...Looking forward to more of your story if there is more to come. You are a true talent.
Julie W Thank you. Yes! More episodes went live yesterday :) Check them out!!
Yaaayyyy!!!! Thank you.
@darkhawk123 Right! That would certainly change the dynamic. I don't even think Don Dixon knows what water is lol.

He is so funny in the show. He's coming back for Season 2 as well!!
"Whiskey, bump, crystal?"
Good to know he's full service. Usually I just get a bottle of water. Imagine getting that kind of service at the bank.
Glad that you "OBSESSED" Lance!
